After interviewing several companies I ended up hiring Armor Electric (Mehdi Heidarian, CA License #937827) for my project, and I'm very glad I did. Mehdi provided a competitive quote, arrived right on time, and completed the work efficiently and professionally. His communication was excellent throughout the process, and he made sure everything was done to a high standard. I called Armor Electric to install my Tesla wall connector, and Mehdi came the same day to give me a free quote. He is courteous and professional, clearly explained what he was doing, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I was happy to see that he drives a Tesla himself, so I trust he knows what solution works well. The installation looks great, and Mehdi was able to show me how to use my new charger on his car, since mine wasn't delivered yet. read more

Mehdi was fantastic! He got my EV charger outlet working in one day. He responded quickly, arriving within 30 minutes with a great quote initially and followed with a fast turnaround when the work began the following day. His work saved me a lot of time. Very knowledgeable, professional, and honest. I've definitely found a long-term electrician! read more

I'm glad I called Armor Electric because Mehdi came and did an amazing job. He installed a dining room ceiling light. He also installed 2 ceiling light fixtures on top of the kitchen island. I also had him change my old fluorescent light fixtures and replace them with LED light fixtures. It was a lot of work, and it was all done right. Mehdi is a hard working and experienced electrician. And he completed the job at a price that I felt was acceptable. Since I know he does fantastic work, I called him back 2 weeks later to do a smaller job. Once again I was very pleased with the outcome. He is always thoughtful, prompt, and reliable. He is also very open to questions and concerns and shares useful suggestions. I am never disappointed by the work and attention to detail. read more

I don't normally write reviews so this is a little overdue. My experience with Mehdi was nothing but professional, quick, and efficient. He did an amazing job installing my Tesla charger. It looks clean, nothing is in a weird spot or an eye sore. Mehdi was very responsive and made sure to deliver 120%. He's strait forward and doesn't make me feel like he's haggling me- the price he quoted was what I paid. Thanks so much Mehdi your great work and efforts are much appreciated. Would definitely hire him again. read more

I hired Mehdi at Armor Electric based on a referral. His work is absolutely top quality and he is fully knowledgeable of electrical codes. He's friendly, responsive, and completely professional. First he did a complete panel upgrade at my home. I was worried because we had just recently painted the exterior stucco, but the final result looked absolutely perfect. Everything was labeled clearly and the workmanship looked simply great. Zero problems. A few months later I hired him for an additional sub panel and wiring for a hot tub. Again, top notch service, advice, and perfect quality work. My dog likes him and his team too! read more

Mehdi responded to my email inquiry very quickly. But he was also very quickly in telling me that I need to spend $3,400 for upgrading my circuit box, while the other estimates (based on same photos) said I didn't need that and estimates are in range lower than $1,000. When he came to see the box at the house, he took it apart and I asked questions (I am an engineer) re: the current requirements and voltage requirements since there is already 240V circuit in the box (made by GE). He couldn't answer or did not want to answer and just walked away. This is very poor customer service attitude and I also felt he talked down at me. It was a waste of time. I called Armor Electric because they were listed as Tesla-certified electricians but in addition to their expertise in installing our EV charger, replacing our old circuit panels and CFCI outlets, Armor Electric proved to be the excellent choice. Mehdi excelled beyond our expectations in every regard. He was very professional, honest and very personable. I would recommend them to all my neighbors, friends and family for all their electrical needs. Thank you Mehdi! read more

Mehdi and his team installed a Tesla wall charger for me. He was extremely responsive and quick to install. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Mehdi and Armor Electric. I've used Amor for multiple jobs, big and small, and all of it performed expertly. I'm extremely satisfied with their work. read more

Buying a new property can be a stressful and challenging experience. Thankfully Medi the master electrician and owner helped put my mind at ease when he suggested I replace my Zinsco panel. The dangers of keeping this panel were not only explained to me, but he also recommended me to do a little research on my own... Confirming all he had previously stated. He and his crew did a full panel upgrade and whole house rewire. They were absolutely awesome! Very respectful, professional and to top it all off, they were neat and tidy(a clean contractor? I know I was surprised also)! Their price was very fair, the service quality was beyond top notch, and the house looked as good as new (if not cleaner) by the time they left! Thanks for the incredible service and speedy turn around time. I will continue to recommend your services! read more

I'm extremely pleased with Armor Electric. From their sales representative through their stucco repair guy, EveryoneI worked with did an exceptional job, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and took the time to answer all of my questions in great detail (I'm an engineer myself, so I asked A lot of tough questions!) Armor Electric has done everything as promised, generally better than promised. I have had a very positive experience with Them. read more

They did a great job help me to fix my electric problems at my house. I found them though internet and scheduled an appointment over the phone. One of their techs visited my house and they looked up the entire system. They did very professional and trustworthy work on fixing all the problems related to my house. Thank you Armor Electric! Good work! read more

They called me back 10 minutes later. The proper thing would have been to call back immediately to right the wrong: That does not condone the techs rude and disinterested tome towards a new potential client. It really should be a zero star. Bad business and bad customer service. read more

Great and professional service! I called 2 other contractors for quotes and Armor Electric was the most capable and professional. Their pricing was also very competitive. Mehdi went the extra mile to exceed the needs of the project. He was always available to answer my questions. Very happy with my new 200 amp electrical panel. I will call them again! read more

Just had the pleasure of working with Armor Electric and would highly recommend them. I had a small/medium sized project ($2K) and went about it to get 3 bids for it. My first electrician (Powell Electric) looked at the project and me (I am female) and gave me a ridiculous bid of more than double. I knew what the project should cost, because I have done several remodels, and quickly waved goodbye to them. Armor was my 3rd quote. Mehdi scheduled and arrived as promised to give a quote. The proposal was delivered as promised in the range I was expecting. We scheduled it, he showed up with his team, walked them through the project, did a very neat job and wrapped things up. I'm still waiting for my 2nd quote. The team is knowledgeable, considerate and reliable. I will use them again in the future and I would recommend them to friends and family. read more

Armor Electric was the best I have ever worked with. And I've had a lot of electricians work on my house and business but I'm glad my search stops here. Armor Electric was easy to work with from the start, very clean, and most of all, incredibly knowledgeable about everything. Not only I will use them for any future electric needs, but I'll definitely recommend them to others. Great experience!!! read more

Half of my outlets in my apartment didn't work, and I emailed Medhi on a Friday night and got a response within 2 hours. He just fixed the problem in a little more than an hour and came out on a Sat morning early when I just called last night. He explained the problem and what I should do to avoid it in the future. I would definitely recommend his services to a friend. read more

In anticipation of my Tesla Model S, I needed a home charger and an update to my circuit breaker. Mehdi returned my call, came out to my house, gave me an estimate, and showed up on time to upgrade my service with the electric company, had my entire circuit breaker replaced for higher capacity, cleaned up the shoddy previous electric work, installed conduits, new wire, NEMA outlet, and even had my stucco patched up with texture. He arranged the inspections and all passed with flying colors as expected. I am so happy! read more

My experience was that I had some electrical issues during a recent storm and I called a lot of electricians, including Armor. All were too busy that day to make house calls, so I made an appointment a few days out with Armor because of their Yelp rating and proximity. No one ever showed up. No call, no show. I waited for 45 minutes, then I had to leave for work. They might be good electricians, but I'll never know. read more

Scheduled an appointment a few weeks in advance as confirmed by owner. Never called to the confirm appointment before pre-arranged date and never received responded when tried to confirm via phone or messages (voicemail message states someone will call whom 15 minutes of the call...no one ever called). Never called on day of appointment or afterwards. Better off speaking directly to someone. read more

The first time we hired them they did a great job replacing circuits in our house and installing a new panel. They finished it on time and at a good price. Even their handy man who did the patching was good. So we hired them again this year for installing a few fans some recessed lights. This year they have gotten very busy with other jobs. The fan installations were rushed, fans suffered damage (even though they replaced the globe) and we still have wobbles in expensive Casablanca fans. The floor was scratched badly in a room and even the arrangement of switches were imperfect. We thought we had a great electric contractor company reference but it turned out like most others. read more

Mehdi is the best ! . He came out in the evening and made the diagnosis of a faulty old panel which needed an upgrade. He scheduled the work few days later . He finished the job on time in one day and passed inspection the following day . He is very professional ,personable and cares about his clients getting a good service. He is my go to electrician from now on . read more

Scheduled a bid request and corresponded with Medhi. A no show for the appointment. Guess he forgot?

We recently moved to Redondo Beach and didn't know any contractors in the area. Armor electric came highly recommended by our neighbor since they hired them several times before. Mehdi came out and did a thorough inspection of the entire house. His report matched a few items that was mentioned on our inspection report when we bough the house. We decided to hire Mehdi to upgrade our electrical panel and bring our garage wiring up to code. Him and his team were very professional and friendly from beginning to the end. Mehdi kept us informed about every stage of the work and finished sooner than the due date. I recommend Armor Electric to anyone looking for great quality electrical work! read more

I am so impressed with Mehdi our electrician I decided to write this review for him. As a person and as a professional I could not say enough good things about this man. He's been over our home now 3 times. He rebuilt our fuse box and charged me half of three other bids I received. He's honest and approachable, he went out of his way to solve other issues I asked him about, at no charge. I totally trust Mehdi so much I referred him to my neighbors who also use him. Good luck Mehdi!!!! Redondo Beach Council Member Stephen Sammarco read more

Mehdi came by next day as he said he would, bummer for us that we needed a lot of work but no problem for them, they fixed it all pronto! They were all a pleasure to do business with from start to finish, they are professional and know their stuff, they are an honest hard working crew who go above and beyond to get it done right. Believe all of the other reviews !!!!! I can't imagine better customer service than what I received from Mehdi at Armor electric. I have managed some larger businesses and his level of service is what we strive for. In addition he uses his time efficiently and turns out great results for a very fair price. Wonderful, prompt, professional and more importantly, solved the problem. My hard-wired smoke detectors were chirping at 2 a.m. everyday. I called Armor at 9:30 a.m. and got an electrician at my house by 2 p.m. The first company I called at 8:00 a.m. did not return my call until noon (very bad). Thank you so much for coming out right away! read more

Mehdi is knowledgeable, courteous, and most importantly does impecable work. Highly recommend!

What a great find! Half my house had intermittent electricity. I called a few places at 7am on a Saturday. Mehdi called me back at 7:15 (only one other called later at 11am), discussed my issues, and explained his service charges. He arrived promptly at 9am as per our call. Mehdi communicated his troubleshooting plan and executed on that plan like a master. Within 10 minutes he had identified the issue and 15 minutes later all was resolved. His charges were fair, his demeanor is excellent and his skill level was great. Excellent job, thanks! read more

What a great find! This is my first yelp review after a long time so you know Armor Electric was 5 star worthy. Great job! all in all, we would definitely use them for their honesty in price, workmanship, reliability and communication. We first contacted Armor electric a few months back for electrical inspection of the house we were trying to purchase. Medi was on time and very thorough. He didn't just inspect the wiring. He answered all our questions and gave a few helpful suggestions. He patiently talked me through all my zero-electrical-knowledge Q's as well as my husband's as an engineer. When it came time to get our panel box replaced, we comfortably called him back after interviewing four other electricians! It was an old house and we needed someone who, without up-selling does a great job that not only we could enjoy living in it hassle free but also the work would add to the price of our home when it came time to sell. We are extremely happy with our choice and trust him for more work in the future! He is a great lighting designer as well as a great electrician and a contractor. His crew took some extra time to clean up the space they were working in, after finishing the job. They did: -Rewiring of the whole house -upgraded our panels - Installed a line and box for a new ceiling fan in the family room - Installed few recessed can in the kitchen and living room Medi (the owner) went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations. He is terrific -- thoroughly knowledgeable about large and small electrical issues. His prices were fair, his demeanor was excellent and his skill level was Exceptional. Excellent job, thanks! read more

I got a new TESLA and the company TESLA recommended two electricians and I picked Amour as he was a master electrician. I was not disappointed! He explained all the work prior and gave me options for the work. The charger works fine and even though he ran the thick wires in the wall he patched all to my satisfaction. He even did 2 small electrical choir fixes! I plan on using him again and I will recommend him to my friends! NEIL P - Redondo Beach read more

Mehdi did a great job re-wiring and replacing our breaker panel as well as running a 220V line to our new A/C. He was quick, responsive, and did all the work with good quality. Would use him anytime and recommend. The only reason for the 4 stars is it was a little pricier than other quotes but Armor had the best reviews. Price isn't everything sometimes. read more

Mehdi and Armor Electric was a great company to work with. He arrived and promptly started walking through the issue, trying to debug my inactive outlets. He spent a solid hour trying different methods of tracking down the problem. While, in the end, it seems I have a harder issue than just a basic wiring issue, he provided an estimate for future repair as well as some of the other projects I have around the house. I'd definitely call him back for future work. read more
