Brian and Louise orchestrated my move with ease! I had a specialty item that needed some extra attention and they made the arrangements so I didn't have to have an extra step. They were almost two hours late the day of the move and it was frustrating, however, at the end of the day it all worked out. great customer service until they ghosted me. showed up on time, ample materials, good communication. when items were delivered out of state I informed drivers of damage and missing furniture. they agreed about damage, took pictures of damage and said they noted the missing pieces. I filed a claim. it was denied - insurer said there was no record of damage or missing pieces. after a few times back and forth with armbruster, they stopped returning my calls and texts. no insurance recovery. no explanation. no follow up. they either lied to me or were just negligent with family treasures. read more

Took a long time with my items. From move out to move in it took about a month. Beyond that, many of my items were damaged, and many were straight up missing. It seems the company had no way to hold movers accountable if items were not scanned into inventory. Luckily my work insured my items, but Armbruster did nothing to help with this. They took no responsibility for the missing items and did nothing to compensate for them. read more

Not even one star armbrusters is one of the most unprofessional companies. You have crew coming in cut offs and work out pants. You would think they would even look the part. The driver who claimed he was lead was rude to the co workers and didn't care about any of my fragile. He was just hurry up and get mw loaded and unloaded in his eyes. We had a great experience with oyr,local move. They had all the supplies needed, packers with experience. The move was in March so it wasn't their crunch months yet. They stuck to dates a d their paperwork and follow through was great. They are part of Mayflower. Laura Armbruster provides all sorts of additional services. Worth checking out. read more

Armbruster Moving & Storage completed our recent move from San Clemente, California. We had two (2) moving containers packed with our household goods and clothing. Armbruster's personnel unpacked the containers to complete the move from California. John, Linell and Matt, Armbruster's personnel, unpacked the containers in a very efficient, professional and workmanlike manner and placed all of the boxes in the appropriate location with a minimal amount of guidance and direction following an initial walkthrough of the house prior to unpacking the containers. After multiple calls with Brian over a period of 3 weeks to confirm the move, Chuck called 4 days before my 94 year old father's move to cancel it. This was already a stressful situation as my mother passed away 3 months ago and my dad is moving from the home that they shared into an assisted living facility. Chuck was nasty and verbally abusive and even hung up on me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people!!!!! No professionalism. We've found a new mover. They couldn't be nicer. Chose not to use this carrier after they wanted to charge $7600+ for transportation for a 175 mile trip. Note, this did not include the charge for packing and loading. This was the transportation only charge. Really???? Oh...even had a charge on there because my driveway size. Really??? Don't waste your time - get quotes from other movers. read more

We hired Armbruster moving via Mayflower to help us with a long distance move. We have done several long distance moves, as we relocated for work, and my husband was military. Armbruster provided us with the least expensive moving quote so we went with them. However, when they arrived it was a bait and switch as they charged us an additional $353 saying they miscalculated our items. After picking up our items in June 13th I was told that we would be delivered within 10 days and they would try to get there by our preferred date of June 18th. Not only will our items not arrive in the 10 day window, but they were not sure when they will arrive during that entire 10 day period. Our move coordinator Lisa claimed she didn't even know she was our move coordinator when I talked to her on day 7 for the first time. Not to mention she did not have the most pleasant attitude and made a lot of excuses for why we hadn't heard from her. Meanwhile I've spent an additional $400 trying to replace items we thought we'd have by now in order to go about our daily lives, and wasted $400 on a plane ticket flying family down to help unpack invisible boxes. This is seriously the worst move I've ever experienced and I can't believe I have to pay for such poor service. If my items arrive, I don't even know if they'll be in good condition, because they sat in a warehouse for 10+ days and no one can tell me if it was temperature controlled. Just horrible. Really horrible. If you are looking to do a long distance move with Mayflower DO NOT USE ARMBRUSTER MOVING AS YOUR LOCAL AGENT. Select someone else. read more

EXCELLENT!!! Our movers showed up early and wasted no time wrapping all that needed attention. Quick and efficient, Mike Rolf and Matt Smith did their jobs well. As tiresome and taxing their work was, they did all of it with professionalism and great senses of humor. Mike Rolf drove our belongings all the way from Medina, Ohio, to Riverview, FL and NOTHING was damaged. AMAZING! Mike did a great deal of the move himself, due to his partner's vehicle breaking down. Yet, another person was assigned to assist him, midway in the move. I can't say enough great things about these guys and HIGHLY recommend Armbruster Moving and Storage to everyone. We moved mid October and I just now had the time to give a much deserved HIGH PRAISE review. Everyone, from Bryan Midlik, the Relocation Specialist, to the movers, were top notch and kept in contact with us through the entire process. I have moved interstate with Armbruster several times over the years. Every move was as stress free as you could ask. I recently started using yelp to decide on where to go around town and what not so, I'm just getting hip to relying on the reviews. I had to move again about 2 months ago and decided to see how they faired on the yelp. I was surprised to find a terrible review on the company that has helped me throughout my most stressful times. Intrigued and worried that something may have happened to my favorite moving company; ie, change in management, I had to ask about this post. At the end of my in home survey, I decided I would ask my sales rep about the move below. He would not elaborate on any details at first. After pleading with the sales rep and promising that I wouldn't do anything like post on yelp to defend their name, he finally broke down and explained the situation. Might I add, I have never seen someone so professionally defend themselves, all the while be appreciative of a customer's business who has talked so bad about it. There are always two sides to every story and Armbruster was too professional to come forward and say anything and let their HQ reply. I, however, will not stand idly by and let this customer who did not get their way talk bad about a pristine company, at least in my eyes. As most people who have moved professionally before know, they give binding estimates in order to give customers peace of mind that they will not be charged more than they agreed upon. If I asked Armbruster to do a service, then I go ahead and do that service, I am not going to expect money back unless I had talked to my sales rep first and signed new documents. Apparently the case below asked for an extra stop at their destination city, which means they deliver some of the customer's items to another location. The cost of this service is usually spelled out at the end of the paper work necessary to sign when booking your move. The customer then decided not to use the extra stop, tipped the so called "unprofessional" driver that delivered, what they thought was half the money the customer thought they would be receiving back. The sales rep wouldn't say how much the tip was, but said it was triple digits. I personally have never tipped ANYONE over $100 for a service that was sooo bad that I wanted to write a nasty review like that. So anyway, they just assumed that money would be taken off of their move. Once the move was complete, the customer asked for money back for not utilizing the service. Armbruster being the customer service award winners they are offered their customer the cost of the extra stop back, even though they legally did not need to. For anyone who hasn't moved before or had an extra stop, they don't cost much at all and its a great and frugal option to use if needed(I ask for one every move). The customer apparently was not happy with their offer and decided to go to court with Mayflower. Apparently they ended up settling for the amount requested by the customer. I hope this helps other yelpers and can save some face for a company that doesn't deserve the nasty remarks. You can't please everyone I guess. Don't let the review below eliminate them from your list of potential movers and I wouldn't worry about a thing when trusting Armbruster with mine or your belongings. They have great, friendly, experience, professional staff both in the office and in the trucks. I wish them the best and urge you to move with them, that is to say if you want a stress free move. read more

Used them for storing my son's dorm room items at Case Western over the summer. They charged $80 for shipping supplies and $331 for moving service. But then when I wanted to have the items delivered back to Case Western in the fall, they charged me an extra $150 for a "special weekend delivery fee". There was no indication that they would not deliver on the opening day of move in dates when I booked the moving in the first place. Be aware of these guys. Very rude on the phone as well. To top it off, they forgot a box and had to deliver it on Monday. No option to pick it up myself. No compensation for that. And the refrigerator got a bunch of scratches on top of it. read more

Please do not use them for any long distance move!!!!! We moved from Ohio to Nevada. Our stuff was packed August 24th (which the guys were great) and then loaded on August 25th (the guys were great again. So away our things went.... It is now September 17th and we are still waiting for our things. The original driver apparently refused to take our load so they left all of our stuff sitting in a warehouse. We received an email from our salesperson saying that she left us a voicemail but thought she would email us also... Which is a lie we NEVER received a voicemail or phone call. She told us that our things would be late sorry for the inconvenience. We called corporate and it turns out armbrusters knew for a couple days and just didn't call us. Even corporate said their communication is terrible. Our things are supposed to be here on Saturday. They tried to "comfort" us by saying we will be reimbursed $100 a day... Obviously we aren't going to turn down the reimbursement but we just wanted our stuff! Sandi at mayflower corporate was fantastic and so helpful we loved her! But dealing with Laura at armbrusters was so disappointing. No remorse or anything it was as if she read off of a script. Sandi stayed in contact with us unlike armbrusters. They didn't call immediately when the driver refused to take our things and they didn't call when our things were finally picked up. They didn't call to give us a delivery date or check how everything is going. The move was over $10,500!!!!! And the way we were treated by Armbrusters was beyond disappointing. Be warned! read more
