This year I invested in some unique Eagles football items for the discerning fan of which I live with two of them. I was disappointed the jewelry wasn't on sale as last year I bought several unique pieces. I tend to go crazy for 50% off. The children's clothes are precious and there is lots of little kid kitsch. The store was very busy with shoppers during this visit. I spent $100 on misc items. There are lots of quality beachwear items and gift wares as well. I enjoy this shop and the proprietor, whose choice of goods and prices is very favorable. Sadly I got spoiled by last year's end of season sale prices. However my credit card was happy.

We have been waiting for the balance of our furniture, which was all to be delivered by July. We have called and emailed 17 times, and David, the owner, has ghosted us since the summer. Not only has our order remained incomplete, but we received 2 items that were damaged. We are now waiting for the second "repair technician" to come to fix a brand new dresser. The drawers will not open, and the first tech that was sent out told us that he will let Surroundings know that the piece is defective, and should be returned. i could continue, but the point is that we now realize why they only accept cash. Surroundings will take your cash and hold you hostage, while not adhering to any timeline, quality assurance, or promises that they provide. BEWARE!

I found one of the softest shirts I have ever felt, but nothing particularly different in design, and it was over $200. So needless to say I did more looking than buying. From the moment you walk in this store there is so much to see, and it is filled with very unique home decor items, local items, exclusive infant wear and gifts, the afore mentioned exclusive clothing and then other almost obscure items like these really cool looking toddler convertible scooters for $130. I am still thinking about buying one for my granddaughter, but haven't taken the plunge. There are 2 pink Christmas trees filled with totally whimsical felted ornaments, everything from jelly fish to mice on skis. There was seasonal home decor for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Items for children like coloring placemats are sold along with fancy platters and tableware. Local items like a $69 large cream color pillow had all the Jersey Shore beaches listed in a black ink font. Very nice for a local beach house or to have as a memory of the best beaches on the east coast. I was impressed with the number of people working in there, all of whom seemed knowledgeable about the merchandise. One person immediately came to demonstrate the cool scooter when I expressed interest. I think if you are visiting with plenty of money, a desire for something different, or a fairly high credit limit you may find yourself happily leaving the store with a large ride on stuffed unicorn, or a hand knit maxi dress that your grandmother used to knit overnight but is now super cool. I think the entire store is super cool, even if it is mostly out of my price range.
