It really is a very cool space. Kevin Szymanski is the house engineer and has worked with lots of famous bands you know-from Foo Fighters, to Matchbox 20, to John Hiatt, to Queens of the Stone Age to Faith Hill. If you are recording in Austin, you need to check this place out. If you are not recording in Austin, you should re-think those plans and come to Austin to record. It's a cool music town, and 12th Street Sound also just happens to be about one mile from Franklin's BBQ, which Bon Appetit calls the best BBQ joint in the U.S.

She opened the sound studio and showed me a button on the screen that would start and stop recordings. She showed me how to use it. I talked with Cory (on the phone, he never appeared) and we discussed how many files to create- 1- we decided. The girl left and i was alone in studio. I mispronounced a few names, coughed some, and used the stop button to drink some water. Now Cory tells me i messed up, wasted 4 hours of his day (where was he?), stopping and starting the recording. He said to me, the client, that i was to blame.
