This longstanding laundrymat on Ridge Road in North Arlington is under new management. They have refreshed the interior so there is now more machines and all the washers have been replaced. It is a spacious and beautiful laundry with very modern equipment, off street parking and reasonable prices. You have to check it out for your laundry needs. Incredibly disappointed, have been going to this laundry since the day we moved to North Arlington. Just due to new management a small wash now cost almost double! Its almost like if you were to pay to leave the laundry there and have them do it for you. Yes they did refresh the place but its the same amount of washers and dryers. read more

I started having this laundry my sheets and towels To wash. Be aware if you give them a duvet cover which is essentially a sheet they charge and extra $7. They weighed my laundry and I paid when I came back they made me pay more money. It's not worth it will not be doing that again. read more

The place is highly recommended for cleanliness and courteous staff. This is a high tech laundry place where you use a card for the machine. The owner have to purchase the card for the users to buy, and load and reuse. RIP-OFF ALERT!!!! DO NOT GO HERE (as stated by many others)! There are many other "coin-op" places very close by. 1} You MUST pay $1 for a card... just to use a machine. 2} You MUST load at least $20 on the card. 3} You WILL NOT get any unused money back. HELLO... your business plan SUCKS... so WHY you want to screw a "could-be" customer over????!!!! My dryer broke and I had to just dry my clothes, so walked in this place, found out the rip-off, and walked out, and went to the one on Noel Drive. $1.25 in and out in 40 min. I know it does not sound like much but $1.25 vs $21 (SOOO I hope more people walk out on your business... but $1.25 x a whole bunch of people your loss). My mother and I were here this afternoon (1:15). My mother had only a few things to wash so she used washer #53. She refilled her card (only had .67 on it and put another $2 on it for a total of $2.67.) She put her clothes/detergent in the washer (which cost $2.59) and slid the card into the slot. 8 cents balance showed in the display. The washer started, her clothes got wet and after about a minute, it stopped and the display panel said DONE. My mother called the attendant over to explain what happened. The attendant just kept shaking her head saying "No, no, no money on the card." My mother said "The machine took my money. Can't you see that my clothes are all wet? The machine isn't working properly." The attendant just kept saying "No money on card, no money on card." This isn't the first time this attendant has been rude and unhelpful. There used to be another lady that worked here - she was terrific. Very friendly and helpful. Sadly, the owner isn't much better than this current attendant, he's also dismissive and unhelpful. I know a few people who no longer go here because of her and I'm sad to say that we will be looking for a new laundromat as well. I definitely don't recommend Arlington Laundromat read more

I've been coming here since they 1st opened. I was glad to use the money card in the machine n dryer instead of carrying all that change around. But the place has gone downhill & idk if the owner cares. the one attendant I seem to get Stuck with is mot very nice unl you're Spanish. Almost $7 for the large machines n when you lift up the flap to add your detergent n bleach you're stari at a black mold that I pray doesn't get on my cloth n the grunge in between the glass door window has all disgusting crap that almost makes me want to vomit. Went there on a Sunday early evening and she wasn't allowing anyone to use one whole side of machine. I spend a good $40 but no more. Will look for a cleaner, friendlier place. Not too pricey though the dryers are a little expensive. Air conditioned and very clean. Roomy and plenty of machines. The woman working was cleaning and wiping things down and that was nice to see. There are a few tvs but when I was there only two were on. Nothing more I can really say about a Laundromat. I probably will be returning. read more

Just go somewhere else! Zero star if possible! Echoing with other reviews, there seems to be a pattern here. The lady closed the store before 10pm, fully knowing my clothes were still left inside. The open sign in the front was still lit when I got there. The hours are clearly posted that they close at 10pm. The lady threatened me that she would lock me out if I didn't stop complaining. By opening the door to let me in to retrieve my clothes within the posted open hours, she claimed she was "doing me a favor". She yelled at me, saying she could close at 9pm if she wanted to. I asked if she was the owner or just worked there. She didn't respond. She was clearly in the wrong but didn't seem to give a single shit about it. I'm going to contact the store owner tomorrow to see if they care. I bet they don't either. That's why the lady was so proudly rude, knowing there would be no consequences for her. read more

This place is horrible & so is the owner!!!! I was there last night 8/3/18. I arrived at 8pm with my mother. We both started washing right away. The sticker on the door below the hours 7-10pm say "Last Wash 9:00". I had the last batch of clothes in two different dryers and I was folding the rest of it at one of the tables. The lady tells my mom and me in spanish.. You gotta get out it is 10pm and I gotta go. I said, "Well I haven't finished, we have clothes in the dryer that just stopped and we have to fold it". She said, I don't care you have to go, this place closes at 10pm. I explained, Your door sign says Last wash 9pm, so if someone comes at 9pm they will not leave by 10. I am not leaving until I finish my laundry. She called the owner and told him to come and get us out because we didn't want to leave the building. He arrived in less than 5 minutes. He walked in and said, "Ladies You have to go! It is 10pm, take your clothes out of the dryers and fold it at home". I said, You have a sign that says last wash 9pm, you should change your business hours then if you want to leave at 10pm. He told me, I don't care you got to go. He turned off the lights while we were still taking clothes out of the dryers and kept telling us You got to go, Find yourself another Laundry if you don't like the rules. This is the worst customer service I have ever received at a Laundry. I hope no one ever goes there and their business has to close because they shouldn't have a business with the way they treat customers. read more

I was using this laundromat for almost as long as I've lived in the area (8 years) and recently moved to a different laundromat. I understand hours are reduced due to covid; however, this laundromat is supposed to stay open until 8 pm. The woman who works the evening shift (Hispanic, short hair, glasses) was telling people coming in that the laundromat closes at 730 pm. She also closed off one side (I got there a few minutes to 5 pm) and told me the side that I was going to use was closed. She then put cones up to block it off, all so she could mop and clean that section. I went over to the other side and had to wait for the small washers to become available. While I waited, I saw her staring at me. I've seen this woman wear her face covering underneath her nose (sometimes underneath her chin) and she has also spoken negatively about customers to other customers in Spanish. I speak fluent Spanish and have heard her complain about getting into arguments with customers. This is not how you manage/conduct a business. I can go on but I feel this is enough to give people a sense of what to expect if you decide to come here. I was already considering finding a new laundromat but after my last few times going to this laundromat, I decided enough was enough. This is the closest laundromat to where I live and now I go into Rutherford to do laundry. read more

Very disappointed.... If I could give it no stars I would! True, the building itself is clean. However, as others have already said this place is a rip off! You have to purchase a reloadable cash card for $1 (the ONLY way to pay for the machines). You then have to use dollars, no change, to put value on that card. The cost to use the different machines are odd prices ($1.99, $3.29, $5.29 for washers) ($.35 & $.50) for dryers. Ultimately my argument lies with the random change left on the card. I was left with $.32 on my card and in need of another cycle in the dryer. The attendant would neither allow me to add $.03 which would be enough for another 10 minutes nor would she refund my money. I believe in small business and recognize that businesses need to make money. I applaud those who dare to think "outside the box". That being said, in business it is an exchange...money for services or products. At the end of the business deal one party does not get to keep extra money just because they want to. (Think of shopping at any major department store. If your bill was $9.68, you paid $10 cash and received nothing in return would that upset you?). The way the system is designed at Arlington Laundromat combined with the customer service provided, YOU, THE CUSTOMER is guaranteed to LOOSE (at the very minimum the random change left on your card)! My story ends with me leaving with wet clothes and a promise to never use them again! My recommendation: USE ANY OTHER LAUNDROMAT IN THE AREA. You will be much happier for it! read more

Never mind the customer service but I put my clothes in to dry for 1 hour because it was a large load around 8:30, I left and came back at 9:30 and they were closed ! Have been coming to this place for a year since I moved to Lyndhurst and even though the AC is not that good I keep coming as service was fair. Today, 2 of the washers I used were not washing properly. Barely any water on 2 machines for a total of $7. Told the attendant and she was sooo rude. Refused to help me and even acused me of been that kind of people that according to her would complain about anything to get money back. All I wanted was to use 2 other machines and of course get reimbursed to be able to use 2 good machines. She even said that I had too much clothing when all I had on the $3.49 machine was 3 sets of full size sheets and a full size comforter on the other. Plrety large machines for ehat I had in them. The lady then called someone and hide in a closet so I was unable to hear the conversation. Then she said that the owner said nothing can be done and when I told her it wasnt fair she agreed on helping me but with a nasty attitude as if she was doing me a favor. Then when she saw that I pressed the regular cycle she said no it has to be on delicate. I told her the sheets where not washed and she turned around and said that I was wasting her time and refused to put the money in the machine for a new wash. I asked very politely for her name and she said she was busy. Just because of the no name "lady" I will never come back to this place and will make aure that everyone knows about the horrible service. read more

I was very disappointed with Arlington Laundromat's wash and fold service. My fiance and I were regular customers. They have higher rates for comforters and blankets, but we paid for the convenience as we both have very busy schedules. Two weeks ago we dropped off a comforter (synthetic), with two sheets, and were charged $32.50. Our ticket had this amount on it, so there was no surprise upon picking it up. They only accept cash, which is inconvenient in itself, but that isn't my real complaint. Our most recent transaction went much differently. A few days ago, we dropped off a rather large amount of laundry. When the attendant asked if we had any blankets, we replied "no," as the majority of the laundry was clothes. Included within the bags was a queen size fleece sheet, and a small throw. Considering they wash everything together on a cold cycle, it didn't even occur to me that these could be considered "blankets." I figured they were small, and would just be thrown in with everything else. The laundry was weighed, and we were told the fee would be $56.10. When my fiance went to pick up the laundry, the attendant told him that we had "blankets," (fleece sheet, and throw, and RAGS?), and the price had now gone up to $74.15. When I got home from work, we went back to pick up our laundry together. I asked the attendant if it was really worth losing a customer over $18. I even showed her our last very recent ticket for the comforter and sheets. I tried to explain that we are regular customers, and I would stop using their services if we got charged an extra fee for no good reason. She argued with me, then proceeded to call her manager who decided that it was indeed worth the $18 to lose a good customer. I paid my $74.15, to release our laundry from hostage. Ultimately, this was possibly the poorest customer service I have ever experienced...not to mention a pretty lousy business sense! All this over $18?! Don't go here. They will try and swindle you in any way they can. Needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

This place is a rip off! I know one of the employee's that used to work here. She told me that when a customer drops off their clothes and it has a bathroom rug (which they charge separately) and also for comforters, they dont even wash this separate from the regular clothes, they put everything in 1 machine which is very disguting especially if there's a bathroom rug. And its a ripped off because you're paying separately for the comforter and bathroom rug and they do not even separate it. And the lady even told me that when someone drops off a laundry that weighs about 17lbs they will put it in a 20 pounder machine, i mean think about it, your clothes is basically not being wash real good. She also told me that their boss's tells them not to put too much soap. She'd always tell me that she feels bad for their customers but she cant do or say anything because its part of the rules and regulation and she is just an employee. The place looks really great and clean tho, and all the employees are nice. BUT looks can be deceiving! read more
