I went on a Saturday afternoon in December to see Lavell Crawford. I love that there is plenty of parking and the place is easy to find. Upon arriving you check in with the box office and they give you the ticket. I especially like that someone takes you to your seat which is so nice!! The ambiance is dark yet inviting. I had a Gummi Bear that was really yummy yet strong. The waiter was really nice and attentive. Most importantly the gentleman I was sitting by was so kind and lovely and paid for my tab and unfortunately I didn't get a chance to say thank you. Michael YO was worth the time & $, but SERVICE SUCKS!!! We had to constantly asked the servers where our foods & drinks were. They got them our orders mixed up, forgot to bring some to our party, & forgot the drinks, then charged the wrong food & drinks on the tickets. They also took a long time to give the boxes & tickets back, VERY DISORGANIZED! NOT WORTH THE AUTOMATIC 20% gratuity. Food was ok, so pricey for what we get. The $4 bottled waters were room temperature. Next time we'll get 2 waters as the 2-item minimum pp, as they are the cheapest items. Attended the Hocus Pocus brunch with a friend and forgive me as I thought the menu would reflect brunch options however it was the regular bar menu items just calling it brunch because it's 2pm versus an evening show. They require you to purchase 2 items (and automatically add 20% gratuity), however there were a few hiccups to service yet gratuity is gratuity. I was brought the wrong drink and the server stood there for a moment like she wasn't sure how to rectify the issue. Also you aren't paying until near the closing of performance, so it gets busy and frantic as everyone is closing out their tabs. Our ticket was incorrect so we had to chase down our server trying to get it corrected and now had to wait as the place was clearing out and they kept asking people to leave so they could reset for the next show. This is a small venue so I would come back for something like a comedy show, however not another drag show as I have limited to no visual at times due to the lay out and the performers going out into the crowd. read more

My daughter had a burger with fries. She ate it all so I guess it was good. I liked her fries. The drinks were not great. We didn't finish them. Came on a solo date tonight - just for some laughs! But I've come several other times previously and it's always a good time. They pre-assign seating so no matter when you arrive your seat is already on the ticket - I think it's based on when you buy your ticket but I could definitely be wrong. Checking out some comedy on my visit to Dallas. This place is lovely. We decided to spontaneously check out a show while in town and it was a great time. Even though we were not informed when we purchased our tickets, there is a two item minimum but it include ANY ITEM! We had just had a meal and I'm scared of driving on those Dallas roads so we elected to have non alcoholic beverages. The place was great! There is not a bad seat in the place. The staff is great! The first contact with the Will Call employee was a bad experience and it got worse. Our show was scheduled for 9:45 and the ticket information stated doors opened at 9:15. We got to the Will call window at 9:00 and the employee refused to give us our tickets. We were told to come back in 15-20 minutes. At 9:20 we were able to get our tickets but told to stand in line. We were standing online until well after 9:45. Once I insde, we were sandwiched in with another couple at a small table for 4, even though the back half of the venue was completely empty. There is a 2 item minimum purchase required per person. The food here is not good and there is no variety. For medical reasons I couldn't order an alcoholic drink, there were no mocktail options and the waiter seemed annoyed that I ordered a coke. I've been here several times and have yet to find a food item on the menu that is good. If not for the comedians I would not return to this establishment. I would be willing to pay more for a ticket then be forced to order from their food menu. Theater seating would be even better. Restrooms need to also be attended to between shows. read more

The location is great because it's surrounded by multiple restaurants, they do serve food there of course. They have a decent drink menu and plenty of servers to ensure your glass is full for however long you want. My husband I got tickets for a comedy show to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We get there early to check in and when we get to the front of the line they inform us that they rescheduled our show and there was a different headliner. There was no prior communication sent. The front workers offered little explanation and no empathy. Customer service was not their strong suit. Great comedians. The website is very misleading. As you purchase the tickets, it's a normal. But after you scroll they have terms and agreements which you have to then scroll inside. Which inside of this says you must purchase two items minimum per person. This is very misleading and should be represented better. I did not see this and to my shock was told very rudely by a waiter that I had to purchase two items per person after already buying an expensive table. This is my 2nd time attending the Arlington Improv and both times I've been pleased. My husband and I went with our friends on Sunday to see 39 cents and company. The food was GREAT.. we ordered the Buffalo wings and onion rings. The drinks were delicious as well, I had the Gummy bear which tasted almost similar to the candy(which is also my favorite candy LOL). My husband got the sex on the stage. Indi was our server and she was fast, friendly and welcoming. I loved how we each had our own glass cubicle to help reduce the spread of COVID(very good job). The comedians were hilarious, Derrick Jack, Dexter and The exception lady(sorry I can't remember the 1st part of her name). The atmosphere was great positive vibes only and the restrooms were clean! Was in town to catch Faizons 1st show 2/2, had a great time! All the opening acts were funny, the venue clean and service was adequate. The only real issue I had was the with the quality of the food. We had a party of 4 and every dish was lackluster, the Philly Cheese steak sandwich tasted stale, the nacho cheese was bland, no one was happy with the food, except the order of fried pickles, they surprisingly were very good. Will be back because the venue is solid, but I won't be spending over $200 on that food, will stick to the drinks and eat before I come. read more

So..I read a lot of bad reviews just to see what we might expect when coming here. Let me tell you... First, they've definitely stepped up their service compared to what I've read. Our server had ours and other tables in his sections drinks and food orders taken and brought out before the the first comedian really got a good start into the show. Once we arrived, it took the wait staff (at the minimum) 20 minutes to acknowledge that we were sitting at our table, waiting to be served. I had to get up from my seat, contact a manager, to get someone to serve us. Even after that effort, it still took another 5 mins for anyone to take our order. We missed most of the opening act trying to get service. This comedian got in, then got the f&$k out! I was looking forward to taking a picture with Deon Cole (one of my favorite comedians), but I didn't have cash ($20) on me. "Ocean" (the opening act comedian) was very clear with me that I must have the money before I could take a picture with Deon Cole. I then looked at Deon Cole and told him my dilemma. He just shrugged his shoulders. Then "Ocean" said, (in a disrespectful tone), "I just told you that you needed cash, he's not going to tell you something different." Then, he suggested going to the ATM in the building. After looking for the ATM, I discovered that there was NO ATM in the building, however; there was one across the street. I walked across the street, got cash, returned to the Arlington Improv and Deon Cole was gone. I was very disappointed. I've never been to a comedy club where I was asked to pay for a picture with the comedian. Usually, the comedian asks the audience to support their craft by buying a t-shirt, CD, or some other merchandise. I guess Deon Cole isn't concerned about fans who want to take pictures with him........I don't think I'll pay $30 a ticket to see him again at the Arlington Improv. read more

Paid extra for preferred seating, which states you will be seated close to the stage. Tickets were already allocated to you, and you did not get a choice where you are sat. My preferred sitting was four tables away from the stage against the wall in which I would be looking at the side of the comedian head the entire time. When I spoke to my waiter about this I was told to speak to the box office. The box officer informed me to speak to the manager. Surprise, surprise, no one knows where the manager is. Disappointed does not explain how I feel. I got preferred seating at the Addison location and was actually next to the stage. Will be giving them my business instead of the Arlington location from this point on. Waste of my money. I could have paid for regular seating and actually got to look at the comedian face. read more

Can't beat the show however if the headliner is known it will be hard to get a seat! So get your tickets early and get your party on.
