They also had them available as Gluten Free for one our guests which was great. My husband had the mussels and he said they were the best that he has ever had! I finished with the sticky toffee pudding which was a perfect ending to the meal. It was large enough for 2 people to share. The ambiance was nice even though the restaurant was empty (March). We were a bit surprised that the service was so lackluster and inattentive since they were not busy. Luckily, the food made up for that.

They were breaded and I much prefer batter-fried fish. I had never had breaded fish in the U.K. before. The fish was also smaller than others I've had and the fries were quite soggy. I suspect that this was all frozen. This was my first mediocre fish and chips meal that I had since arriving in the U.K. 3 weeks ago. It didn't really fill us up but it was satisfying enough until the next day. Seating is outdoor only and it's in a nice location to watch the world go by. It's also pretty touristy. I really won't recommend this for any meal unless you're exhausted and don't care what your food tastes like. Oban has so many options for good seafood so take the time and go elsewhere.
