3.5 but I've rounded up to 4. This place has phenomenal views, terrific service and good food. The food was good, maybe lacking in the presentation and on the sides given the price point? I did enjoy trying samphire for the first time, a tasty and healthy green.

Surf and turf salad - way too much dressing and super greasy fish and chips

Nice location in Oban on the water. Staff was friendly but food was pretty subpar at best. We ordered the seafood chowder which had a few small pieces of flavorless fish and it was in a VERY thick and heavy also flavorless broth. It looked like Hollandaise sauce to be honest. We also got oysters and were not aware it's spawning season for them so they were VERY creamy and we almost couldn't eat them. For our entrees my fiancé got the fish and chips which was very very greasy and I got the surf and turf salad. There were 2 pieces each of scallops (which were great) squid (good) and shrimp (not very good) and then some pretty fatty and overcooked very thin pieces of steak. There was WAY too much dressing to the point it was pooling in the bowl and everything was sopping wet with dressing. Definitely not worth the $. Overall it was all unnecessarily heavy and the actual fish wasn't the focal point of the dishes but rather the fatty/heavy flavors and ingredients were. We were disappointed especially after reading other reviews.

13 GDP 2 course menu for lunch and early dinner time was delicious, portions not huge. Great Christmas music was playing as well. Professional service.

Oysters so good

Recommended by our higland experience tour guide we went for dinner. Looked like they were booked but seated us. Stared with Oyster. Way yum. Hubby gig haddock chowder and haddock for entre. I got mussels and seafood pasta. Everything tasted so good we couldn't stop gushing. The cherry almond cake for dessert just topped it off perfectly . So glad we came here!

Chilli squid & pork

Stumbled upon this place near Oban Ferries and was pleasantly surprised! Great view and nice atmosphere and service! Got two starters - pheasant mushroom risotto and salty chilli squid with pork belly. Really enjoyed the latter. Hubby had the smoked haddock chowder which was tasty and my sister tried the wee haggis pie which was more mild in taste than I've had before. The pork & black pudding burger was very meaty and pretty good. Would probably return to this place to try more seafood!

Menu

I had my first oysters here for my birthday. They were deicious, salty & fresh. We ordered the Sauvignon Blanc house white for our drinks, it was served in a bucket of ice & was poured for us. I had the sea food chowder for my starter, it was very thick & creamy with salmon mussels & prawn, however I got 1 mussel, so was basically salmon chowder. It came with a whole meal bread, however I asked for more as it was tiny (which annoyingly I got charged for). I ordered the 3 ice cream scoop & sticky toffee as my desert, it was still lovely & warm & the melted ice cream with it was perfect! The candles on the table were battery operated which made the restaurant cold, it's next to harbour & chilly so some candle warmth would have been nicer. The staff were friendly & attentive & had good etiquette also. I had a nice time here, however it was very cold & thought was rude I got charged quite a bit for an extra slice of bread & wasn't told till got bill.

I had the best seafood here in Oban Scotland! A massive ouster is Only 1.2 pound each ! With this market, are you kidding me ??? I had similar oysters in a restaurant downtown Glasgow 12 for 50 pounds ! This is the absolutely the best hands down fresh off the boat seafood you can have in my humble opinion! This place made my dream and thirst for seafood especially oysters come true ! Thank you Oban, Scotland! Please let's all support this business and support the locals ! If I have to recommend anything, This is IT ! If I can give 10 stars I will give a hundred !

Whilst waiting for the ferry to Barra me and my friend decided to get a deluxe seafood platter.. We decided to go for take away as we were soon going to board the ferry, so sat in the car to eat it.. The box contained a whole lobster, 2 crab claws, 2 scallops, 2 langustines, loads of mussels, small prawns, medium prawns, razor clams, clams and calamari.. It also came with two dips and some salad.. All this for just £27.. Total bargain and fresh.. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.. There is also the option to sit in on a wee bench and table.. But be prepared to be rained on.. On my route back I stopped in again and got 3 crab claws (my favourite) the cost was £2.30 they go by weight.. I sat on the harbour wall to eat them which was just prefect and I managed to finish them before the rain started.. This place is a must if you are in Oban..

I dined at EE-USK after exploring Oban last month. They came highly recommended by my tour guide…read more We did not have reservations, but there were ample seats when we dropped in for lunch. The interior is draped in contemporary decor, and there is scenic water views overlooking the harbor. The holiday lights set the mood. The food was delicious and the seafood was fresh. I had the mussels and sea bass. Both were perfectly cooked. I did not have dessert because they were out of the pudding that I wanted. I would definitely dine here again for good food and drinks. Hopefully the service would be warmer on my next visit. The staff was not welcoming when approached.

Great, famous spot right on the Pier, serving up the freshest seafood you can imagine. The service…read moreis nuts -- multiple people taking responsibility for your orders and delivery of food. It's a very austere interior -- all glass -- but intentional for the lights out views of the working fishing harbor. Of course we had to have the oysters! They were very deep cups; meaty; and creamy, unlike any oyster I've had before. For American sensibilities, no cocktail sauce, or mignonette, which disappointed my husband, but I was fine with it. Lots of lemon is the Scottish way! We also had one of their specials, the lobster & langoustine cocktail, which, again for American sensibilities, was lobster & langoustine bits on lettuce, with a DELICIOUS rose dressing, not the meat in a martini glass with sauce.... Our dining partners had beautiful, plump mussels, which they shared and devoured; another had the open faced salmon, also scraped clean from the plate. We returned the next day for a reservation I'd made online, only to find we weren't on the list. Since reservations in Scotland are more than recommended, we asked for help from our desk agent, who said this happens at eeusk a good bit. So, please be sure to have an email confirmation, or simply call/stop in yourself to make your resy. Cheers!
