I brought in my 3 year old pup bc she had a non productive cough and was not acting her usual energetic self. They ran blood work, noticed her WBC count was elevated and did X-rays which showed she had a lot of gunk in her lungs & assumed it was pneumonia. Not sure if they checked for valley fever, I was not told anything about it besides that it could be something to consider. So they kept her a few hours, gave her fluids, gave her oxygen and antibiotics. When I picked her up, it was closing time & they seemed super rushed to get everyone out and did not explain fully what they did in there aside from the above. That night I picked her up I knew something was off. My baby girl breathing worsened, she was breathing quick shallow breathes and stayed that way for the next couple days until she passed @ 2am 8/6/2026. Staff was nice, but I think the vet Dr. Cal should have checked for valley fever or other things aside pneumonia bc my puppy came back worse then how I left her that fateful Monday 8/3/2026. I'm not a vet so I put my trust into them, & I do not believe they treated my 3 years old accurately. They were nice overall. read more

My 2-year-old, newly adopted male cat had bloody, loose stools today, so I called ahead of time to make sure this location was accepting urgent care walk-ins today around 3pm. Amazingly, they were, and upon our arrival there was no one else in the waiting room, which was neat, spacious, and offered water for patrons. We were immediately roomed and filled out paperwork. We were triaged by the vet tech, my cat was taken to another room to be examined by the vet, then the vet brought my cat back and explained his assessment and plan. We were given medications immediately, and the vet tech administered an anti-nausea injection. Also importantly, I was given reassurance for the next steps forward for my pet's health. All in all, I was probably in and out the door in about 2 hours. The attached photo is of the services received today and associated costs. They accept credit card via tap, swipe, or chip insert. Thank you so much ArkVets and Dr. de Camp for being open on Saturdays and after-hours on weekdays!!! And being relatively affordable (scheduled appointments are $79 and urgent care walk-ins are $99, vs another pet urgent care I called which was $195 base fee just to be seen)!!! read more

I loved this vet. The vet he was seeing was great. Recently my dog got very very sick. I made an emergency appointment for Jan 2 because he got sick over new years. Three visits in a week and multiple hydration treatments... i understood that. But one vet diagnosed pancreatitis and another said no way. He can't have pancreatitis. The staff suggested fluids to hydrate him and the last vet insisted my dog wasn't dehydrated. 10 days into this and I can't see the same person. One person says one thing and the next declares everything said by others is wrong. My last straw was when the new (to us) grabbed my dog by the scruff to check dehydration. He pulled so hard my dog cried. And told me to grab him hard by the neck. Really hard. No. That didn't work for me. Not on a dog that is anxious, crying, puking, and had just dropped a pile of bloody feces on your floor. I won't be back. That male vet there shouldn't be working with people or animals. I have been taking my dog there since moving to Arizona (2024) for his shots and immunizations. You lost my trust when you lost your humanity. Now I wonder why vets won't stay. Dr. G was wonderful. She's gone. And the Big Dude Vet? I don't ever want you touching my pup again. So.... my question is... why did your clinic give fluids to dog that wasn't dehydrated? At 500 bucks a pop? Something isn't making sense in all this. Except I'm out a lot of money for treatments that your clinic insisted he needed for conditions you say don't exist. read more

Love this vet! I adopted a very skittish dog with a really bad respiratory infection & they were so kind to us & cured his infection. After my first visit they were really responsive to emails I would send them about my dog's symptoms. I would send an email & they would call me with a response within 24 hours. I had the best experience here. I called looking to visit the Phoenix location, but they were booked so the admin Kathleen mentioned how they had an opening here at this location. I felt like she went out of her way to make sure my cat got cared for. Once I got here, it was clean and they saw me promptly. The vet tech (I don't remember his name) was kind and Steve the vet was very helpful and reassuring. I paid about 300 overall: to see the doctor, the ear swab test, new ear cleaning solution (this was optional), the ear infection meds and for an ear cleaning (this was an optional)- take note this was a walk in emergency visit so the prices were a little higher. Without the added options, it came out to about 200. I'm excited to be a part of this hospital and use them as my standard vet. Very very grateful and pleased. read more

While my baby was not seen here, I want to applaud the Dr that took my call last night at 7pm 2/27. My chihuahua had labored breathing and I didn't know what to do. The Dr stated she was about to head into surgery, but insisted I take my baby to another facility immediately based on his symptoms. She recommended an ER a few miles away and even gave me their phone number/address. She spoke with kindness and concern for a pet she didn't know. Sadly, she was right and my baby passed away at the facility she referred me to--he had heart failure and that's exactly what she suspected over the phone. Had she not stressed the urgency of the symptoms, it could have been much worse. I will be recommending this Dr and hospital to everyone. Thank you for your concern for my angel. DO NOT GO HERE My dog's regular veterinarian referred me to this establishment because they could not get her in on the same day. I knew I had to do something that same day. They suggested this place because they had heard good things and that their prices were not as steep as an emergency vet. Because my dog was not drinking and she was vomiting, I knew I had to do something the same day. So I brought her here. This is as far as the positives went with this place. Let me tell you why you should not come here. Before going to the clinic, I called four times to ensure my dog could be seen quickly, but no one picked up, even using the emergency option. Assuming they were busy, I walked in, finding no one in the waiting room and a staff member just sitting there. I checked in and waited. A tech took us to a room, asked about my dog's issues, and checked her vitals. I explained she has indigestion(which she has been diagnosed with in the past), needs anti-nausea medication, and should receive fluids to prevent dehydration. When the doctor came in, I reiterated my concerns while my dog tried to play with her, but the doctor just pushed my dog's paw away, which made me question their handling of her in the back. The doctor asked about her diet, and upon hearing I fed her raw food, she blamed it for the problems, disregarding my explanations that this issue occurred with kibble too. She insisted on withholding a particular medication unless my dog was vomiting excessively, which I had clearly stated she was. The tech returned with a quote for $1,200 worth of unnecessary tests, confident it was food-related, except for a X-ray to check for ingested objects which I also explained my dog doesn't eat things. I declined the X-ray, initially wanting to refuse the blood and fecal tests until they offered a bundle for $169 instead of $425. Since my dog was stable, I accepted fluids, the tests, anti-nausea injections, and pills. They also tried to sell a probiotic, I had to prove that the one I was using was okay before they took it off the bill and prescribed trial food. Since a fecal sample wasn't collected at the clinic, they sent me home with a tube which she went as we left the clinic. The next day, I didn't receive a follow-up call, which was unusual for vets I've visited before. Today, I got the blood results--everything was normal, confirming that her diet wasn't the issue. They noted dehydration, which I already addressed with fluids(which they would have known if paying attention to her charts) In conclusion, I would like to state that I believe this office is a money-making machine. I felt uncomfortable with the way she acted towards my dog. Her attitude changed when she heard that I was feeding OC raw Pet Food, although my dog has been on raw for most of its life. Anytime that I came back with a response to what she was saying, she changed it up and acted like it was something else, which did not instill confidence. First, it needed a fecal test because it could have worms, and then we needed to do liver enzymes and cbc because of the raw. Then she wanted me to feed her a probiotic they sold and the prescription food. This veterinarian does not know nutrition. Finally, a parvo test although the dog was not showing any symptoms of parvo. But mostly, I would like to state that the office cares more about congregating at the front than answering the phone. Update: after trying to reach me I gave her a call back and surprise...no answer. It was a pointless call, she said that the phones were down that day 9/23 but they must be down everyday because I tried calling them about my dogs blood test results on 9/25 and not one answer and then trying to call back today9/27...no answer. Then told her how I felt about the vet and her blaming it on the food, which I mentioned I have done lots of research, talked to pet nutritionists and her normal vet loves what I feed her...she told me to go see a nutritionist still... Didn't seem to care about charging the higher price (the instant blood test) and not giving me the option of the lower price blood test bundle till I was going to get rid of it. Didn't say anything about her vet not playing with my dog and not giving me a call the next day to see how she was doing...not even asking about her when they called for the blood work results. I told them she was fine. Thanks for the call but I will not be back and I will not be recommending this place either. read more

The staff accommodated me and Puppy Chulo as he was limping and had a hurt paw. Scheduled an appointment the same day and with the labs and X-rays, I was there for a total of 3 hours. After being sent over from their other office because of less emergency waiting was false information. After arriving with our sick dog grin their location we were informed it was going to be over a 2hr when we arrived. After sitting there for an hour we were informed that the wait was going to be another two hours or longer, they could not tell us an actual time. We ended up leaving a well as several other people. Actually very happy with my first visit here. Since moving here I took my cats to another vet not very far from here and I just wasn't feeling them so even though I needed a same day visit I didn't bother trying them, I saw the reviews here and decided to give them a try. First impression couldn't be beat when someone opened the door for us when we walked up. The techs were very nice. The vet, which was Nikki (can't remember last name), was everything you want in a vet, knowledgeable, compassionate, no rush. Some things did take a while, we were there for about 5 hours, but I'm not looking for rushed care for my kitty anyways so I'm not upset about it. read more

this place is just simply not great at all and i feel that i need to share our experience. this is our dog draco he's a 1 year old pitbull mix. we took him to this vet office last wednesday because we noticed he had been sick for a couple days and wasn't eating or drinking. well come to find out he was positive for parvo, so of course they go into the whole deal about how we should hospitalize him and it would cost roughly $3,000. which we could not do we are new parents to an almost one year old baby and life is expensive. so we ask them about taking care of him at home since he is older i believed he had a shot at making it thru this at home. (which he did) so they go on to tell us that his survival rate going home drops drastically which was pretty scary to hear, nonetheless though they explain how we could care for him at home and prescribe us medicine for him. this is where my confusion began, from my research that i've gathered dogs with parvo die from dehydration. so you'd think they would administer fluids right? wrong. the vet tech that was working with us kept hinting at our dogs breed and how we would need to train him and that he "could snap at any moment" as if to scare us? i'm not sure. this dog thinks he is a cat and is the sweetest boy ever. he just obviously is afraid of the vet- as most doggos are. so anyways this vet tech only tried one time to draw blood from him with a muzzle on and then gave up immediately. never once tried to give him fluids or sedate him nothing. they actually sent US home with sedatives and an IV bag and fluids to do for him ourselves. our dog that was supposedly going to die at home from parvo and they would not even give him fluids. i asked multiple times even the next day when we went back for blood work- which she still could not perform blood work or even tried to give him fluids. because he "wouldn't let her" i'm sorry but do any dogs let you stab them with a needle or is this your first day as a vet tech? idk the whole situation seemed very shady and off to me but i am grateful that our boy made it through and is happy and healthy again. just please beware of this place i would definitely not bring your sweet pitties here as they are clearly frowned upon by this establishment. thanks! read more
