Honestly I was very disappointed when I went to Gracie's. I had read all these reviews online about…read morethe fair pricing and selection of items. In reality the store is very small and the hours on Google, Yelp, and their Instagram page are different from each other and actually different from their plastic sign they place outside the door. That was the first frustrating piece given I drove from across town to get there. The options in bags and clothes and shoes are just very limited and pricing is like buying retail at the mall or even TJ Maxx or Marshall's. I did find a French Connection dress but it was $40 which was on the cheaper end of choices. They had some selection of luxury bags--Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, MCM, and YSL. They're not in great condition, the leather on some felt dry and the store clerk didn't know much about them. For example, I asked for price on a MK backpack and she first quoted me $3000! I was like, 3K for Michael Kors?! Then she had to look into it and realized it was $250-300 which I found still pricey compared to other luxury resalers online or even the outlet. If you're just a person who loves visiting secondhand boutiques you can check it out but don't get your hopes too high. I don't think it's a great place for luxury resale, stick to Poshmark or the online luxury resalers as you'll get better condition and better pricing!

What an incredibly lucky find! My wife & I were fortunate to…read morediscover St. Christopher's Resale Shop while going to the annual Polish Festival in Houston. But it turned out that this gem was the real highlight of our day. First, it's HUGE! There is no doubt that this is the largest, brightest, and most well organized resale shop we've ever visited. It's so well thought out, and it's actually attractive. Unlike comparable venues, this one is not messy, but rather everything is in it's place, easy to locate, and a superb bargain. But the greatest value when visiting here is the staff of volunteers. They are nothing less than wonderful, with their incredibly hospitality and their very obvious joy in being there. They were so helpful, and accommodating. We spent some time with Elizabeth, Pearl, and Laura. What a wonderful way to pass some time. It's hard to express how they extended themselves to make certain that we left entirely satisfied. We just couldn't wait to let others know that this little jewel is there waiting for you on Blalock, and to tell others that they'll be completely pleased when they stop by. A great group, and a fantastic store. Who could have possibly known that this was here, and that we would be so fortunate to park there for the festival. Cannot recommend this resale shop (and crew) highly enough. It speaks volumes about St. Christopher's Church, and the wonderful people that go there. --Mark & Marcel Milstein

After expressing my interest and confirming availability, I was later informed that the interview would not move forward. The decision changed only after the hiring manager viewed my Instagram profile, which includes older modeling photos from years ago. I was not evaluated based on my 25 years of experience in fine jewelry, luxury retail, and management -- experience that more than exceeds the job's listed qualifications. Shortly after viewing my social media, I received a message from Donae Chramosta, stating the decision was based on "overall brand alignment and fit for our team culture and direction." Given the timing and circumstances, it is clear that this decision was not based on my background or abilities but rather on personal judgment related to my appearance Definitely think they are super judging superficial and racist. This behavior constitutes discrimination and bias, as hiring decisions should be made based on qualifications and experience -- not someone's looks or past modeling photos. I take great pride in my professional record, and I find it disappointing that a company representing luxury and inclusivity would instead base its decisions on appearance rather than capability. While I respect their right to choose a candidate, I would not want to work for an organization that displays discriminatory behavior or fails to appreciate true professional experience and integrity. It reflects poorly on their values and company image.

I ended up finding the cutest vintage beaded purse for around $10 and a sweet polka dot scarf for about $3. They also had a small dining table that I'm already regretting not buying, so I have a feeling I'll be making a second trip sooner rather than later. I didn't catch the owner's name, but she was incredibly personable and easy to talk to. She made me feel welcome while also letting me browse at my own pace without hovering, which I really appreciated. I also tried on a couple of dresses, and even the fitting room was adorable and stylish it just added to the whole experience. The prices didn't bother me at all. There are definitely some reasonably priced gems to be found if you're willing to look. Honestly, I don't mind big chains, but it felt great knowing I was supporting a small local business here. It's a win win, she gets a customer, and I get an amazing vintage purse that I love! If you're on the fence about checking this place out, I'd definitely recommend giving it a visit!
