Attended the opening night of Music Man on Friday night. The theater is very cute and quaint . Love that the main level seating is staggered small two person tables and each row is a bit lower than the previous seating row, so with a group of 6 or more , it's soooo much easier to visit with each other before after and during intermission. Great place to see a play! Had no idea this was here. It was originally a movie theater & the first building in the area to have air conditioning (opened in the late 1920s). Cabaret tables (2 to a table) on the main floor with table service. There's also a balcony (no elevator) so something to consider if handicap accessibly is needed. Concession stand with snacks (pretzels, chips, etc) & beer/wine. Play was great (Sunset Boulevard). Only negative to say about this experience was the music drowned out the actors' singing (it was a musical) so I couldn't hear a lot of the plot. A lady sitting in the front row asked if it was the same for us (we sat near the back), so obviously others encountered this. But great & attentive staff. Will be back! read more

Enjoyed a very funny musical (Something Rotten) this past Sat. night. We're new to this area and found the Victory Theatre to be very unique, the musicians were outstanding as were the actors on stage. The scene with Nostradamus was a great show stopper. This review is based on the venue itself and not the performances, as I have only seen outside groups perform Get to the theatre early! There is street parking nearby, but it's limited. The process of ordering tickets was really easy, and we could pay with card. The refreshment assortment isn't huge, but you can buy beer and wine, and it won't break the bank. The cabaret seating is a little cramped. One of the volunteers asked my husband to push his seat in - his options were to either have his belly mashed against the table or run into his neighbor. I like the *idea* of the cabaret seating, but it's too cozy for comfort. They need to get smaller tables, reduce the number of tables, or go back to regular seating. Otherwise, Victory Theatre is a nice little venue, and I'm looking forward to seeing another show there. read more

I must update my review once again as the theater has stopped serving dinners. They do have a "snack" bar and do still offer beer and wine. All tables are cabaret for two. The balcony is another option but I always say get down in the thick of it in front of the stage! Every year is a list of great productions. Go more than once! There are plenty of eateries in downtown Rogers within walking distance to enjoy before the show. read more

First, the bad. The keyboard, the only instrument which played non-stop during the entire show, was simply MUCH too loud. Neither my girlfriend or I could hear a single spoken or sung word in the first scene, and barely anything else during the rest of the performance unless the actors were yelling. Ultimately this completely ruined the experience for both me and her because neither of us could not understand what was going on in the play because we could not hear anything! Other than watching basically a silent movie version of Sunset Boulevard, everything else was wonderful. The staff were warm and courteous and all around great. Seating was cozy and intimate, two to a table positioned side on to the stage. Wine was inexpensive but good quality, there were snacks before the show and at intermission. Acting was great, and there are some really great shows coming up. read more

Love this theater! It's really funky and has frat history, and I have yet to see a show here that I did not enjoy and/or made me think. The staff and volunteers have always been pleasant and kind, and I just generally think a night out here is a great. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the show. The staff were so attentive and offered a lot of history about the theater and the cast. Enjoyed the wine as well as some amazing homemade cookies. The show, Sunset Boulevard, was great. I will admit that in the first scene I couldn't hear the casts voices over the music. As the show progressed the music level and the voice levels evened out and I truly enjoyed the rest of the show. All and all it was a great evening. read more

I love this little community theatre. The only comment I have is that I always go with a friend and we both collect play bills. At this last one,(can't remember the previous one) there was only one per table. We both paid to come and yet when we asked if we could have another one, the person working said no. I also go to other theatres around the area and everyone is offered one. With the higher ticket prices to sit at the tables, I would think this would be a no brainer. I will continue to go, but will insist on another one before the show starts. read more

I went and saw Kiss Me Kate last night. I had never been to the facility before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's completely run by volunteers and the effort is amazing. Only balcony seats were available so upstairs we went. I didn't think it was bad at all. The only complaint I would have is that it's tough to get beer/wine up there. Someone opened up the "bar" on the second floor which consisted of canned beer and small bottles of wine on ice in a dish tub. Pretty funny! I talked someone on the first floor into selling us a bottle of wine to consume on the balcony. There are signs up that say "no drinks on the balcony" but everyone I saw had one. I suppose it was just a suggestion. The show was OK, but a young woman named Dru Peacock-Wiser was a standout performer. Incredible voice and comedic timing. I'd see any show she performs in for sure. I had a great time and recommend it to others for an inexpensive evening of entertainment. read more

If you have not seen the high quality shows here you are missing out. The hospitality is warm and friendly. They recently upgraded their bar including what they offer to drink. Tickets are very reasonable and there is a lot of great shows coming up. I have been lucky to see most of the previous season. read more

Very quaint and cute. Saw the best Christmas pageant ever and it was hilarious! We arrived a few minutes after the play started and weren't allowed in until there was a break/pause. So in total we were about 10 mins into the play when we were ushered to our seats. So plan ahead and be there early! read more

This was our first trip here and we definitely plan on going back. We saw Sunset Boulevard. The story line was kind of bizarre and felt like there were scenes missing, they definitely could've picked a better show. It also happened to be a musical written for a number of cast members to have a large vocal range, so some of the high or low parts of songs were difficult for the actors to hit. However, the acting and singing was delightful and they otherwise did an amazing job. The staff was incredible and could not have been more accommodating and attentive. The main issue we had was that the sound was so messed up. I didn't know what was going on for about the first eight minutes of the show. The piano was loud and drowned out the singing more than once. It did improve toward the second half of the show, but it still was an issue throughout. read more

This is a beautiful historic theater that produces outstanding musicals and plays with very talented actors.

Community Theater does not get better than this! The theater is beautiful, classic and elegant. That also describes the people who volunteer and do everything from build the sets, act, sing, run tech, and run the front of the house. I have seen fifteen shows here, from musicals like The King and I, to mysteries like Wait Until Dark, and comedies such as Lend Me A Tenor. Their #1 concern is to give the guests the absolute best in local theater they can find. Each season is varied with four musicals, and four 'straight' plays. They have shows geared towards Mothers Day, Father's Day, and Holidays. Caberet seating is comfortable and every seat is easy viewing. Balcony seats are also very comfortable. Please go and experience this tremendous theatrical establishment. read more

Anyone who lives or visits the NWA area must attend a show here. We watched Rocky Horror Picture Show and loved the entire production. The atmosphere is intimate, the staff is amazing and attentive and the actors are brilliant. We will be returning. read more
