After not receiving a call in 8 weeks, I called and was told several reasons why it was not ready but they said two more weeks and I would have it. After two weeks I went to pick it up and of course it was not ready. The owner walked by and asked how I was doing. I told him that things were not good. He just replied that at least it was a nice day outside. This used to be a good place to have your boat serviced. Not even a "I'm sorry"!! Only excuses. They have host sight of why they are in business. Stay away unless you like missing a season of fishing.

I had been on a 3 month road trip in my Sprinter based RV, and I got to Little Rock, AR, My Dometic…read morerefrigerator was keeping cold on electric power, but on propane gas, the ice cubes in my freezer were melting. I found Don's Mobile RV Repair on Yelp and gave him a call. He is in North Little Rock, and he said he would come over next day. He suspected that the burner was dirty. I asked him to clean the burner for me. He showed up on time with his helper, Mark, and they took the outside cover off the refrigerator burner to at the burner. He said the flame was burning and it looked good so he looked inside the refrigerator itself. He said the thermistor (the temperature sensor attached to the cooling coils) was not properly attached to the coils and he put it where it should be. He figured that was the problem. He said he measured the temp after replacing the thermistor on the coils and said it was cooling down. He told me he would not charge me except for the service call since he was only there about 15 minutes. I was happy. Several hours later, I found that the freezer was still melting the ice, and apparently the fix Don had applied was not the problem. I contacted him that evening and told him that it did not seem to be getting colder, and I offered to drive the RV to North Little Rock to his shop so they could check it out again. He said, he had a very good RV guy there who had lots of experience. Next day, I drove to Don's shop out in North Little Rock; I didn't realize how far he'd had to drive to come to me in Little Rock on that service call. It took almost an hour for me to find his place. His service men at his shop removed the burner and cleaned it thoroughly and re-installed it. Spent about 1 hour working on it. They said that was all they could do and told me, "No charge" for which I was pleasantly surprised. That afternoon, the ice was still melting in the freezer. Again, No joy. Later Don followed up with a text asking if his men had taken care of me. I replied that they had been very nice and tried their best but my ice cubes were still melting. I said I'd probably have to buy a new refrigerator. After I returned home, I put the fridge back on propane gas power again to test once more, and within a day, the freezer had frozen the ice and it was staying cold. I wrote Don to tell him that after I'd given it some time, the fridge's freezer was freezing properly and his men had actually fixed it. He was glad it was fixed. I would definitely go back to Don for any RV service work if I was near Little Rock. His good attitude and willingness to fix the problem after the first fix did not solve the issue was very positive and professional. I could not be more satisfied with his work and his ability to fix the problem.

He had a fast reply after I inquired about a mobile mechanic here last Monday. Stayed in contact but was forgetful even with text messages. Flexible hours. I paid for my parts ahead of visit. That was my decision. He offered to pick one up. He was very quick replacing the alternator and knowledgeable. After replacing alternator we discovered that we needed a new battery. He offered to pick it up. I chose to buy the battery online and then had it brought to the car for us (I'm under doctors orders to not lift anything over 5 pounds or else I would have done the entire repair). We agreed that he would return to replace the battery for me. I texted him telling him we received the battery and we are ready for him when he's done with a quick fix on the next all. Well, he never showed up! There goes his Yelp rating and recommendation.

They live on a lake and leave their kayak in the water 24/7 with the drives still in (I know, I know). Back in May I pulled the kayak out of the water and pulled out the drives. The bottom of the Kayak was completely covered in algae and the drives were covered in "crud". The length adjustments were seized and when I tried to put the drives back in, they would not lock back in place. The place that maintained the kayak in the past no longer worked on kayaks, so I had to find a new place. I looked everywhere online, and called a few rental places and I couldn't find anyone / place that would work on the kayak. I found Kayak Obsessions here on yelp, and searched for them on Facebook. I contacted Brett and told him I wanted a complete overhaul on the kayak as the grandchildren use the kayak often during the summer. After a couple of communications and pictures sent of the current condition, I arranged for Brett to pickup the kayak. He was friendly and on time. He explained all the possible options for the drive systems and what he would do to cleanup and overhaul the rest of the kayak. Brett had the kayak for roughly 2 weeks. During that time he sent me several pictures of the progress. He pressure washed the entire boat to clean off all the "crud." He rebuilt the drive system (saving me a ton of money) replaced all the cords, straps, etc and tightened up the steering system. Brett dropped off the kayak at the lake management office so it could be cleaned for quagmire mussels. When the manager saw the boat, he said it looked brand new, and Brett did a better job cleaning it then they could do with their hot water pressure washer. Thank you again for the awesome job. The kids and I have been using the kayak almost every weekend since the overhaul was done. We will definitely use Kayak Obsessions for any of our kayak needs.
