Gregg Orr Marine Hot Springs - Pontoon rental

Gregg Orr Marine Hot Springs

I'm local and own my own pontoon boat so I've never found it necessary to visit Greg Orr Marina…read more Yesterday we had a trailer failure and couldn't even get to the water. I had visitors who planned their trip for two months from Louisiana and I felt horrible we weren't going to be able to do the one thing they were most excited about: Getting out on Lake Hamilton! So we dropped into Greg Orr Marina unannounced - without a reservation - just days before a major holiday - hoping they might be able to save our day. They absolutely did! We rented the unit for four hours, and I was actually quite impressed with how nice the boats were. The best part tho? The staff were amazing! Everyone was very professional, not only in their demeanor, but in their dress, and were incredibly helpful in getting our ice chest and items down and onto the boat. The same occurred when we returned - but with a completely different crew checking us in. Whoever's training their staff there has done a great job and it was nice to see young people handling their job jobs so well. Overall, I can tell you that the price was actually pretty reasonable compared to other boat rentals I've experienced over the years. The unit was clean with a few little dings, but it's a rental, and pretty much the only thing that I could say negatively was there was a bit of prop damage, but as it was the last unit they had available we were just tickled to be able to get on the water. Regardless, I cannot recommend Greg Orr Marina enough. I've been involved with Swift and Open Water Rescue training through Kawasaki motor corporation for over 30 years and that is one of the best marinas I've ever visited. And I've visited more than a few.

I honestly had such an amazing experience on the water, with the boat being so efficiently stocked and prepared, and the staff who set us up made it all happen. Thank you guys for all your help and direction. Every recommendation was greatly appreciated and made our day perfect. Thank you all so much, we will be back!

I am a very infrequent customer; the last boat or motor I purchased was 15 years ago. My outboard…read moremotor had been sitting up for several years and urgently needed carb jets and a tune up because the motor for our camp boat (located on a chute in the Mississippi River) was dead and we had lost access to our hunting camp on an island. I had heard the business was under new ownership and didn't know if any of the same folks were there. They are still there and rushed me in and fixed my boat in the same week so I could get our camp operational again. With gun deer season about to open, this was a pretty big deal and I was completely at their mercy. The store appears less cluttered than before, with new and expanded inventory and everyone was quite helpful. Couldn't be more pleased. I plan to purchase or maybe build a boat in a couple of years and I will definitely be back. THANKS GUYS, GREAT WORK. Wes Hall, Little Rock

I have just picked up my boat (5/28) after dropping it off in early March. They originally said…read morethat it would be 5 weeks to do a general service to get the carburetor unclogged after sitting with old fuel. After not receiving a call in 8 weeks, I called and was told several reasons why it was not ready but they said two more weeks and I would have it. After two weeks I went to pick it up and of course it was not ready. The owner walked by and asked how I was doing. I told him that things were not good. He just replied that at least it was a nice day outside. This used to be a good place to have your boat serviced. Not even a "I'm sorry"!! Only excuses. They have host sight of why they are in business. Stay away unless you like missing a season of fishing.

Hwy 5 Auto Sales & Salvage - Example of the part I needed.

Just had a very disappointing experience at Hwy 5 Auto Salvage…read more Went to get a replacement Air Vent Grill for my Toyota Camry. I arrive and he confirms they have it. Awesome! However, he then tells me he does not have anyone to go pull the product off the car for me. They're all busy helping someone else. Mind you, it is 3:30pm, an hour and a half before close. I even offered to step outside so he could lock up the office and go get it himself. The part is pictured below. It takes less than 60 seconds to disengage it from the dashboard with a flathead screwdriver. The guy at the counter said he could not do that because he had to watch the phones. So, phones are more important than the customer in front of you? He said I would have to come back on Monday to get the part. Today is Friday. If I wanted the part on Monday, I would have just ordered it online and not inconvenienced myself with the drive to your business. Here is my issue. You small business owners want consumers, us, to support you over online retailers. Yet, how can you expect us to give you our business after experiences like this one? I came to you so I could get the part today, not 3 days from now. I was willing to pay more for local business so I could have the part today. Unfortunately, I won't be back on Monday. Online retailers win again. Save your time on this place, folks. Just find the part online. You run the risk of Hwy 5 Auto Salvage dangling the part you need in your face and telling you that you can't have it. I honestly just can't fathom refusing a sale. My mind is blown.
