I sold my boat to Export. We agreed on a price. They wanted to check it all out and if everything was good the price was good. I left the boat, was called a few days later and told to come get my money. When I got there the amount they handed me was $1,000 short. Classic bait and switch. If I could, I would give it zero stars. Seems like there is absolutely no motivation to create a sale. The person I was speaking with seemed like he was not interested in talking or helping out at all. The second I asked for a compression test on a boat they said it was no longer available. We'll see whether or not that is actually true but I definitely will not be buying from here regardless. read more

On Monday we contacted the dealership and made arrangements to view the boat on Thursday. We live 13 hours from the location and we were told that a boat would be held for us to view. The salesman said that he would contact us on Wednesday to confirm that we were still coming. When we were on the way, we did not hear anything from the salesman. We decided to call them to inform him that we were indeed on the way. At that time he told us that the boat was sold, and had been sold the previous day. We had already had 8 hours into our 13 hour trip. Needless to say we were very disappointed, not only that the boat was sold, but also that there was no common decency to call us and tell us the boat had already been sold the day prior. We bought our boat, took it out for the first time a few weeks later and the prop wouldn't go all the way down. $400 later, after replacing the trim cyclinders, after we couldn't get anyone to call us back, when we have a 30 day warranty, we were dead in the water with our 2 young kids at 7:00 at night. This wasn't all, but the other "little" fixes weren't major, until now as I'm so frustrated with the integrity of this business and their people. Future buyers, beware! read more

Just picked up the 2006 Sea Ray Sundeck that I purchased sight unseen. The photos and information on the website were completely accurate. Jay was very responsive to my questions and directing the purchase of the boat and arrangements to pick it up. I had considered the delivery option due to current travel restrictions but elected to travel to Little Rock in person; so glad I did. Lee gave me a thorough walk-thru of the boat and pointed out mechanical features that I was not aware of. The boat was spotless when I got it. There was some confusion on the final Bill of Sale but it was quickly resolved to my satisfaction. We have been extremely disappointed in what was both promised and delivered. The Chaparral cabin cruiser was supposed to be delivered from covered storage (which we paid extra for and instead Export stored outside and finish was not protected and needed waxing upon delivery), several water leaks in engine compartment, needed new water pump which shut down engine and left us stranded at sea in a major storm for 2 days and had to be towed, engine oil was not what manufacturer recommended and engine ran too hot and required servicing, batteries were seconds and not manufacturer recommended, boat was supposed to be de-winterized and it was delivered with fresh water lines full of algae, cabin outlet not working, and several other issues to deal with. We were told someone would deliver (which we paid extra for) and show us how to operate vessel - the delivery person was great, but didn't know anything about the boat operations. We reached out many times to Perry and Jay and they were "nice", but not helpful or take responsibility. Offered opinions of what might be "wrong" with boat. We had a 30 day warranty as promised at time of purchase that started day of delivery. They kept putting us off until the time of warranty was expired and no response to our last email needing help. It was not the summer we envisioned and has been a complete nightmare. We paid full retail for the boat and felt the relationship with Export Marine was going to be great - Buyer Beware! The are sales people with empty promises and all we wanted was to return boat or them repair as warranted. Next step will be to contact Arkansas Attorney General unless they come forth and honor their word and warranty papers. read more

Export Marine's staff is friendly and honest. No matter what service I needed, they always seemed to give me a little extra. I've shopped around to make sure I'm getting a fair cost for services such as winterizing, and Export is always as low if not lower than anyone in Central Arkansas (heck, most in Central Arkansas don't want to touch a Volvo outdrive, and Export specializes in them!). I'll be doing business with them again soon, and I direct anyone in the market for a boat or boat maintenance their way. The only knock I can give them is that they're still cash-only, but considering how competitive their prices are for boats and boat maintenance, it's not worth docking them a star. I bought my boat in July. The buying experience at Export Marine was outstanding. Heather and Jay did everything they could to get me into my boat. The reason that I am rating 1 star is because of the service department. I bought my boat and had to bring it back twice for an issue. They keep telling me there was nothing wrong with the boat. Every time after I had to cut my lake trips short because of the issue. I take it to another mechanic in October because i'm feed up with the issue and he tells me what the problem is, good deal. I call up Export Marine and they tell me there is nothing they can do about it even though it is the source of the original issue I had brought it in for twice within the first month I had it. I understand that it is October and I bought the boat in July but since it is the original problem with the boat they should honor my request and fix it. Won't shop at Export Marine again and will not recommend to anyone......................... read more
