Its ambiance is more updated than the average pub, and outdoor seating is available during the warmer months. The menu here is concise. However, a wide array of options isn't necessary, as the majority of Shamrock's clientele come here for the burgers. For instance, I recently dined in, and noticed just one sandwich come out of kitchen that wasn't a burger. I also, unfortunately, noticed that all the buns get microwaved prior to serving. This wouldn't have bothered me, but the buns were still in the plastic bag they came in. As for the burger, it's definitely good, but frankly, it's overrated. It's enjoyable, but there's plenty of bars out there serving comparable burgers. The portion size of the French fries is generous. Similar to the burger though, the fries are worth getting, but are nothing to write home about. If you prefer a simple and affordable burger, you'll absolutely love Shamrock. On the flip side, the burger is not in the same league as Bronx Bar, Grey Ghost, Redcoat Tavern, etc. As a whole, what makes Shamrock such a desirable spot is how fairly priced the menu is.
