Love love LOVE this stadium! Beauty and history inside and out. Perfect for seeing the football Wildcats do their thing! I had not been here since 2003 up until now. Lots of renovations went into this stadium. Also, the former Wildcats baseball stadium, Jerry Kindall Field at Frank Sancet Stadium, was removed and a mew practice field and a couple athletic buildings were put in its place. The beauty surrounding the stadium is something to see in any direction! The employees here very friendly and helpful. WE attended the football game against NAU. We arrived with plenty of time to order some snacks before kick off. We entered the stadium below the south end zone. The concessions were busy , but not too bad. We ordered nachos, 3 cokes, and a large tub of popcorn. As the person began to fill our cokes, she replied we just ran out of coke! The game hadn't even started!!! We then order Mr. Pibb. We were given the nachos and I was aware the jalapeños are placed on the back wall with the napkins and other condiments. After unable to locate any jalapeños, I asked at the concession counter and without hesitation said we have none in this entire corridor! Hello!!! don't you think this is something to advise someone buying nachos!!! After getting to our seats and tasting the sodas, we realized they all tasted like soda water. Again... at the concessions we were advised that the MR. Pibb had also ran out. What a poor way to run the stadium concessions. I understand it was the first game, but definitely not "their first rodeo". What a way to start the season!!! read more

This is my second time to the stadium and there has been lots of improvements. The area surrounding seems cleaner and the stadium as a whole seems more put together. We were able to move around pretty easily in the visitor section and and had an easy time entering and finding our seats. The fans were nice and it is a cozy stadium, not too big, but certainly not too small. There are good sight lines and you are pretty close to the field (no extra unnecessary space around it). The staff was also nice and seemed like they were there to enjoy the game too. The night game feel is always a good thing in Arizona. read more

We went to the USC game this weekend for Parents weekend. If you really want fans to come to the games then maybe figure out the concession experience. All of the lines were excessively long. This was due to the menu being too large. At Notre Dame stadium the offer half the items and get people through quickly. For the Beer and wine concessions we stood in line for 15-20 minutes for beers at the start of the game. Then at halftime we stood in line for 15 minutes to be told when we gate to the server that they were out of everything. We were planning on going to the U of A game but why? The construction in the north end zone is complete and now the University of Arizona football team has a stadium to be proud of. Last season, the north end zone looked similar to the rest of the campus: Under construction. Prior to the North End Zone Project, there was the the gargantuan high definition scoreboard perched upon the south end zone seats prior to the commencement of the 2011 season. That added much appeal in its own right, but the cherry on the top has been the state-of-the-art facilities and new seating arrangement on the north end of the stadium. The best part? The stadium is enclosed, thus preventing a lot of noise from escaping, much how it used to when the north side of Arizona Stadium was nothing more than portable stands you could find at your local race track. For those who have only attended games over the last two seasons, the one entity that would be worthy of noting of games at Arizona Stadium is that the crowd is actually one of the loudest crowds in the Pac-12 when the team is competitive. Now that the construction is complete and the there is now a "bowl" of sorts rather than a horseshoe shape in the stands, the crowd is going to seem much more intense when teams like Oregon, USC and ASU come to town, with the noise being more It's really a ravishing image once you're in the stadium. I was able to observe the recent scrimmage that was open to the public and Arizona Stadium is much more visually inspiring and technologically modern than it ever was before. It went from a below-average stadium in the Pac-12 to one of the better venues for football in the conference. Tickets are still reasonably priced too. I have season tickets in section 18, row 6 (close to the field, visitors side) for less than $20 a game (doesn't include the "donation" I am required to make for holding the rights to those seats, but single game tickets do not include that). In comparison to other college venues, the financial dent Arizona Stadium puts in your pocket is diminutive. I hope fans of football in general make it out to a game or two this year. It's a much more pleasurable locale for college football than it's been in previous years. read more

Great food from local vendors is mostly gone! Now is very expensive and very poor quality! a 32 ounce soft drink in a souviner cup is $8 - no refills with a short paper straw that goes limp after a quarter, and a $13 Bratwurst that looks and tastes like a cheap hot dog. Lesson Learned and be warned - Don't eat here! A very nice statium that desperately needs bathrooms remodeled (OMG the pee sinks and smell are disgusting!, and attention paid to cleanliness and replentishment of paper stocks (TP and Paper towels) during the game. We tailgated at a bar called Dirtbag's near the campus. The food options were worse than a high school football stadium with very little room to move around, especially pre-game and at halftime. The bathrooms were very tiny too and if you went during halftime the line was wrapped around the corner....it was better to leave the stadium, walk downstairs to the entrance and use one of those facilities. There seems to be an expansion going on at one of the end zones. Been to Wildcat games here the past two weeks. Fun times both. Only a couple small issues, no sinks in the men's restrooms on the second level (near section 107-109)? Um, gross. Come on. Also, the food is terrible and choices are very very limited. I know it's a football game, but this is a D1 university and you could do sooo much better. I'm talking way expensive and barely edible. Yeah yeah, concession stand food "blah blah", but I've been to high school games where the food was better. Those things being said, we did have a good time and the stadium itself is pretty nice. This is literally "Woohoo! As good as it gets" for Tucson football stadiums. What can you really say on yelp about a stadium since they kinda monopolize whatever it is they're doing? Are you NOT going to go to the game here because the Cardinals play in a state of the art stadium in Glendale? For that matter, what do other college stadiums look like? ASU plays in a dump. Cal? Dump. USC? Are you kidding? You got one choice in Tucson for watching the Wildcats and this is it. Now, it may seem like I'm doing an awful lot of apologizing so let's get to the nitty gritty. I have been going to Arizona Stadium for DECADES. If you can sit in the student section (aka "ZONA ZOO") that is as good as it gets. It's a real student section in a PAC-12, major conference stadium. It's loud, rowdy, exactly what you want your collegiate athletic experience to be. Now, at my advanced age, I sit in the nosebleds and it's good. Sunsets are gorgeous and you get a great view of the entire field as well as the city and surrounding mountains. As for the game, any distance issues are solved by virtue of the GIGANTIC FREAKIN' VIDEO SCREEN. Wow, that thing is HD, super high resolution! Bathrooms: They exist, they are clean, they have kid height urinals, I didn't have to wait in line. Food: They have some, but bring your cash since plastic is not accepted at all locations. Parking: It kinda sucks but they make it work - the stadium is on-campus after all! Also, you can pay someone in the neighborhood nearby to park in their front yard. I think I heard of plans to close the horseshoe design to make is more of a bowl. I am sure this will depend on the success of Mike Stoops. The stadium itself looks like a glorified high school stadium and the press box/luxury suites are in an odd location and looks funny, like it's about to tip over. If you buy tickets in the end zone under the scoreboard ($17), well first of all you won't be able to see the board and secondly it is like a freakin rock concert with the decibels they have the PA system jacked up too. The speakers are in that endzone scoreboard. They play music and bad music after almost every play and first down and even blast tunes during breaks. Just let us enjoy the warm summer nights and the sound of the crowd. The music situation is terrible as is the parking situation. They have one lane that says game and once you enter that lane nobody is directing you where to go or what lot is left open, especially if you arrive late. It is a mess and there are no signs elsewhere saying what lots to park at. Ended up driving around for 30 minutes before finding a garage on campus. The turf is also too bright on the field, but the one good thing is that they sell Banana Bread at the concession stands. Well, it would have been good, except they sold out. This is an amateur stadium, especially for a Pac 12 team, but Tucson is a rookie town anyway, so I got what I expected, but an even worse game day experience than possible. Oh and the band stunk and they could not be heard either from the stands. read more

Its a decent stadium. The Jumbo tron is pretty cool. In the alumni section there are TVs overhead, which is a nice touch. Us old folks snuck into the student section during the Oregon game. Well, it wasn't hard to do, as it was very empty. The whole stadium was not even half filled. Well that changed when the Cats started upsetting the ranked #6 Ducks. By half time, the Zona Zoo had filled up. Go figure. At least the student section is in a good spot, unlike most other places. Concessions are not great, but most college stadiums I have been to don't have the greatest choices. Everyone keeps complaining about the beer stipulation and I am no exception. Its sucks that they don't sell beer. But I think all college stadiums are like this.. At least the ones in the Pac 12. Overall, this stadium is Okay. read more

Arizona Stadium is a fine college football venue. It's larger than many and the new addition to the end zone has provided it with more a 'big school' feel. Not a fan of the turf they installed after the grass pitch received national press -- but I get that it was part of the deal when they brought in Richrod. Also not a fan of the derelict president running the U of A either, so I guess Ann Hart makes the turf much more palatable. As others have said, bring cash. read more

I feel like I'm inside an old baseball stadium, something from "older" Yankee stadium, when I'm in the tunnels, grabbing nacho's, using the bathroom, all that. Out in the stadium, there's the ganga TV.. and I find myself watching the TV more the game. Bad William! We're here to watch the field, not the big screen. But what a big screen it is! Nothing like a home game to get you pumped! The stadium is where i have seen the most upsets. Wildcats play better at home. Most people have to either get a parking pass, there are people who sell spots south of 6th street, I'd never pay more then $10. Lemonade is a good drink choice, mixes well with vodka or tequila (that u have to sneak in) I wish they sold beer here, I think they would have less problems overall with drunks/underage drinking if they sold beer at least until halftime. read more

My one trip down to Wildcat Stadium was a fun one. The stadium is just an average stadium, but there was just a feel about it. I can't really explain what, perhaps it was the closed south end with all of its concrete, or the rodeo style restrooms, or the 1980's Lambeau style stacked sky boxes on the West side that made the place feel comfortable. The turf looked worn and not kept well, but for surviving an Arizona summer I can't fault the grass for not being as green and lush as it is here in Seattle. This is definitely a great place to watch the college game. read more
