Shocking that the review was so bad. We visited on thanksgiving weekend, the cost was quite high compared to other places, $240 for beginners class, rental and lift. The restaurant, rental process, skiing classes, lift and the rest were all okay.

Snow bowl is not just a place to go during winter time for skiing, but a place for all seasons! This is a great place to come in the fall for leaf changing when you are over 11,000 feet! The colors are amazing....plus plenty of places to take in some hikes and enjoy the beauty abound! Once you reach the top, you can enjoy a ride in the gondolas above the trees tops or grab a drink and/or some food. Plus plenty of great photo opportunities. Drinks for being at a ski resort are at a fair price. Food a bit higher but you need to consider where you are eating. We will definitely keep this hidden gem on our radar for fall time!

I came here in the middle of October to take a gondola ride and see all of the fall foliage. I bought my tickets online before I arrived. There was a lot of traffic getting there, I think it was peak time for the fall colors, but when we arrived, a worker pointed us in the direction we needed to go and told us where to park. The line to get on the gondola was EXTREMELY long, and I think we waited an hour and a half. Luckily, the weather was beautiful out and they had some live music going. It made the experience a bit better. The gondola ride itself was fun. We had to go in groups of 6-8 but we were still pretty comfortable. The views were great! I don't think I'll need to do this again, and I'm not sure if the long line was worth it. But I'm glad I did it.

It was a 50 degree day in town but people were snowboarding up here in the man made snow. It was mildly crowded and everyone in good spirits. I would say you can still enjoy a day of boarding and hopefully get a good deal on your lift ticket. I saw an equal amount of boarders and skiers. Be careful walking around the lodge cuz people will whack you and bump you with their board. It's not Colorado boarding or same feet's of snow but if you're in town and want to do a few runs, it looks ok

We made it here the last weekend in October before they closed to ride the gondola. The lines were ridiculously long, but I am happy I went. I wanted to see the fall and the trees change colors. They had signs out noting that there would be long waits because parties would ride together... but after a while they announced that they would not be following that posted guideline and parties would have to be mixed and ride together with others (we were a party of 2 and they put us in with a party of 3). The views were gorgeous and at the top they had tails and Picnic tables. At the bottoms they had a bar and gift shop and they had activities set up for additional $

This place has an amazing sunset scenic gondola event which was amazing! Brought my wife here for her bday week! We got the dinner that was included with the package and mini golf! This was just next level!

We planned our visit for this past Saturday for the scenic Gondola ride. I purchased the tickets online and it was fast and easy. $32 each The day came to be and we arrived during the 10am - 1pm time slot we had reserved. Parking was plenty but the lot was starting to get full quickly. We parked, went inside, up the stairs, stepped outside, when bam we were hit with the sign that said " DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER THE LIFT IS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED." Oh no, we had driven from PHX for this and now it was a maybe if we would even get to go up. We decided to sit at the bar and order some hot chocolate and an Angry Orchard. The bartender was sooo friendly and attentive. She helped us out right away and at this point it was raining cats and dogs. We decided to just wait it out and eat. We ordered a mushroom burger with fries and it came out right when the downpour had stopped. The burger was really good. It was cooked well and was very flavorful. The fries were our favorite as they were hot and crispy. My hot chocolate was delicious. It was perfectly sweet, hot, and the marshmallows were the cherry on top. My sister bought herself a hoodie from the gift shop and the worker there was also very friendly. They had a selection of winter attire, boots, accessories, and cute souvenirs at reasonable prices. The Gondola ride finally opened up after the down pour and we made it on up. The ride was quick but the views were beautiful. We got off at the top and walked around a few minutes. It was pretty cold and foggy up there so we couldn't really look out. There is a bathroom located at the top and there are benches / tables set up. Overall we had a good time. I've never skied here before but this adventure was a lot of fun and memorable.

It was my first time skiing today and my family and I decided to attend arizona snowbowl in flagstaff. I have never felt more comfortable trying something new and it was 100% based on the team member's attitude. Everyone I spoke to was so helpful and friendly including Rylee, Mike, and much more! I was not embarrassed at all to ask questions and I do genuinely feel like I learned so much today. Would recommend coming here no matter what your experience level is!!

I thought this was going to be a rinky dink little mountain resort. Well I was blow away on the elevation ,Base elevation: 9,200 feet. Total vertical rise: 2,800 feet.Lift served elevation: 11,500 feet thats an insane long run. Boy did my legs feel it after a few runs. Ashley was working the outside bar she was on point. The service was amazing!.everyone I met was super cool. I had an issue with the food but it was handled so quickly by management and staff, it was very nice. I will have to plan a return trip soon.

Overall typically I have a really good time at flagstaff. All the staff is super friendly and the food is pretty good for a slope food. Had to give it 4 stars this time because of the abuse of power that I encountered with ski patrol. It was my first run, and even before I started I came up to the middle of lodge and saw a girl laying there with her friend because she got hit by someone who was wreck-less. so fast forward to me getting off the lift for the first time, I was suddenly stooped on the cat walk aggressively. I stopped because maybe o dropped something, but then found out I was being accused of hitting the girl and running off... after I explained to them this is my first run and I literally saw the girl after she got hit that it's physically impossible for it to have been me. Plus I would own up to that. Another snowboarder stopped who saw me get out of the car and literally agreed with what I was saying and the 2 ski patrols kept saying how that I was the one that hit her and they needed my ski pass. After again explaining it wasn't me, they made me give them my pass to scan and threatened that if it wasn't my first run that they were shutting off my pass and banning me... I personally think this is extremely unprofessional and no way to great paying customers who come frequently who did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG. They could have handled it way better and not been so aggressive and rude and acting as if I was lying. Of course my pass didn't get shut down but the way that I was accused really left a bad taste in my mouth the rest of the day. Thinking I was getting targeted for something I didn't do... Side note, I was snowboarding with my fiance as well who was with me the whole time... Instead of accusing customers, get your facts straight first

Great customer service. Walking in and I was out of there fast .

I had one of my best ski experiences at our own state ski resort. Everyone from the rental people, lift operators, guest services ,ski patrols and Kurt Knittle aka ski instructor were so pleasant and friendly. I met Kurt on the slopes with his buddies and I asked for little advise and he ended up giving me a 1.5 ski lesson. He was so nice and generous with his off the clock time it was amazing. Thanks to all of you.

Is the bunny hill free access or does it require a lift ticket?

    It requires a lift ticket.

Do they do half day skiing?

Hi Dani, yes you can buy a half day pass. See the az snow bowl website, the snow is great right now so it's a great time to go! Have fun shredding 🏂⛷

Did any of you who were turned away after purchasing tickets ahead of time get refunds, or did you Snowbowl just keep your money?

The voicemail message says it's closed for the season until Nov 20. Glad we called before we drove up there. Anyone been up there in late Oct?

I was up last weekend for their last scenic fall lift rides. It was the last weekend they were doing that. Rumor had it they were expecting snow this week but likely not enough to open.

All reviews since July have been 1 star, 2 stars at the most. This deterred me from going when we visit Flagstaff next week. My question is if the company is seeing the reviews and have they made recent changes, ie limit tickets, better cust svc?

Don't work there, but visited on September 27th. Our friend purchased the tickets online. Masks are required until you get on the lift. They were filling every fourth lift, only with the people in your party, so although one lift seat can fit 6… Read more

Why doesn't anyone write a review about the trails and riding conditions? Nobody cares that you had shitty service or that the food sucks! Can anyone with experience tell me how the riding conditions are up there?

The riding conditions are outstanding this year

Do I need to snowboard or ski if I go up to snowbowl? I just want to go up there to play with the snow and take in the view

I don't think you have to do either of those. Plus there should be plenty of places heading up the mountain to pull over, throw some snowballs, make snowmen or go sledding.

There are lots of Gumbies coming up from Phoenix with zero outdoor experience getting lost on trails. We are all pretty experienced in winter, trail, and off-trail travel, so as soon as we were able to convey that, we were good! These yurts are perfect. You have to hike to get into them, so you avoid any sort of crowds you'd have if you were car-camping.
