Previous Moves: My first two moves with your company cost between $250 and $350 each. The most recent quoted move was significantly higher at a flat $500, with an additional $180 charged in 30-minute increments (rounded up) for any time over the agreed period via the Groupon deal. During the most recent interaction, I was charged unexpected extra fees. When I questioned them, the representative hung up on me. I called back to request assistance in recovering funds through Groupon. The representative again stated that Groupon is a third party and not their problem, then hung up on me a second time. Email from Lisa (for reference): "Thank you for sending this over. We have 6/12 arrival 630-7am. For the Groupon we will need the Groupon redemption code and I can send over our contract and payment link for the trip fee $100 + $40 mileage fee and $90 moving supplies that are required to properly protect and handle your belongings (stretch wrap, mattress bags and tape). On the day of service any additional hours are $180 prorated in 30 minute increments rounded up. Please let me know if you have any questions Thank you Lisa" You may verify yourself whether these additional charges are clearly disclosed in the original Groupon description. Edit after laughable response from owner: I have receipts from th bank showing I received a full refund. No need to lie. Service Issues: * First Move: The crew initially performed a walkthrough and appeared professional. However, after the move was completed, they had forgotten one of my televisions. Despite pointing it out, they offered no solution and simply left. I was forced to arrange separate transportation for the large TV myself. While the crew was polite, the lack of accountability after a walkthrough was unacceptable. * Second Move (No-Show): The movers failed to show up entirely. I filed a dispute with my credit card, which resulted in a full refund. Credit Card Refund Confirmation: "We are writing to inform you that a refund has been initiated in connection with your recent transaction with Soft Touch Moving. After reviewing your dispute and the details provided, we have processed a reversal of the applicable charge. The credited amount will be returned to your account ending in **** within 3-5 business days, depending on your financial institution's posting times. No further action is required from you at this time. If you do not see the refund reflected after the stated timeframe, please contact us so we can assist you further. We appreciate your patience while we completed our review." In summary, I would strongly advise others not to waste their time or money with Soft Touch Moving. The combination of surprise fees, poor communication, unprofessional hang-ups, forgotten items, and no-shows demonstrates a clear lack of reliability and customer service.

After that, expect the rent rate to double at a minimum.. then what will you do.. spend money to hire people to move you entirely out? No. They got you, and they are allowed to do this. Is it right? No. Other places don't do this, like U-Haul, Self Storage... they are pricier up front but when you average it over 12 months.. take the mean cost.. it's cheaper. Then.. have you ever missed a payment on ANY bill in your life? You think the contract follows govt rules? Bet again. This location specifically will violate your rights and flat out lie about it. They will give you the run around, specifically gave me a phone number "to corporate" that was out of service, then made me speak to a poor girl on the phone that had no idea what was happening she was just a front desk girl, the coward manager wouldn't talk anymore because she knew she was in the wrong... missed one payment and THEY AUCTIONED OFF EVERYTHJNG. I got a text message saying "thank you for being a loyal customer". Oh I'd say they should have probably picked someone more ignorant than myself to do this to... but then again I would also guess they do this a lot. Just so happens I am a fantastic record keeper and have a lot of time on my hands as well as resources. Do YOURSELF a solid by going somewhere else, though. Because ethics matter when you store items that matter.. otherwise you wouldn't be storing them, right? You'd just give them up in the first place. This company has an entire side business making money off auctioning off units. If it's part of their annual revenue, and they rely on it... don't do it. They either take your money through rent or they take your money by selling your stuff and they don't give a sh*t. No f@cks given. Don't take the chance. It's like a dental office that gives you a candy bag on your way out.

Even though I agreed to a specific timeframe, they changed it until we finally agreed to a timeframe for them to come to my apartment. On the day of my move, I found out through the dispatcher that they put the wrong address so I had to correct that. The dispatcher assured me they would be on time but when they weren't, I called again. The dispatcher gave me the number to the trucker. The trucker told me he was working for a different company and then told me what time he would show up to my place. He never did. At that point, they were 2 hours and 30 minutes late. I was livid at all the lies and the incompetent behavior going on. It got to the point where I felt like my property would not be safe in their hands considering that the dispatcher and trucker were working for 2 different companies. It was extremely shady and I cancelled it. It made the entire day extremely stressful as I had to figure out a way to move my things after such a horrible experience here. Note that the owner even messaged me to ask me to write a good review about this place before the service even happened. I've written over 900 reviews on this site and I've never encountered an owner who personally tried to convince me to write a good review before they even complete their end of the bargain. Stay very far from this place if you value your time and property.

I buy most of my furniture at good furniture stores and I take pride in my pieces. My walnut dinning table was carved into and ruined, my teak breakfast table had dents all over the place. Almost every piece of mine had something wrong with it. They showed up with no blankets or covers they dirtied my mattress because they didn't have covers in a rented uhaul. It seemed like they had just quit their "normal" jobs and just starting moving from one day to another. They were late, charged me by the hour and when I would check up on them they would be standing around just talking. I regret using them every day since I have to stare at the damage they caused.

After attempting to trade internal parts out of my existing toilets I found out the manufacturer stopped building that model, they were made with non-standard sizes and I could no longer order a flapper to fit my tanks. My options were replaced the tanks or replace the toilets. So off I went, and let me tell you, making decisions on a toilet is harder than it seems. Will I go two piece, one piece, which has the better flush, least prone to clogging, which is more comfortable, easier to clean, do I spend $200 per toilet or $700 per toilet for the nicer ones, the standard big box stores are open all day every day but the plumbing supply stores are only open mon-frindurimg my work hours so looking at a higher end brand and model isn't possible. Months of back and forth fretting all these decisions and one day I ran into an ad for HIW advertising toilets, AND, they're open on Saturdays. I checked them out, I was able to see and feel the toilets I was considering, and I walked out the door with two of them. First off, their stock is overstock, so be sure to check your product for any blemishes or damages, second, the cost for their products are about half the original retail price. I'm happy because I got the $500 toilets for $300 and I now have two new one piece toilets acquired at a very reasonable cost! I checked out the rest of the store while I was there, they had some nice full length mirrors, a row of tubs, three or four sets of outdoor furniture, an aisle of toilets, sinks, cabinets, flooring and countertops. They offer installation on their flooring and cabinets here and with the prices I found, I'd seriously consider checking them out if I'm planning a kitchen or bathroom renovation. The staff was friendly, welcomed us in as and helped me carry and load the toilets in to my vehicle. I'll 100% be back again the next time I'm in the market for a home improvement product they keep in stock. The prices here are hard to beat!
