RUN!! Do not waste your time with this PISS POOR company!!!! Their buyer(s) cut corners with supplies, sending out knockoffs and LOW quality medical supplies to their home bound patients. We receive IV fluids, TPN, and IV meds with this company and week after week the supplies are delivered with insufficient care and packing...ie warm fluids and meds not put on sufficient ice packs during HOT Arizona summer months, light sensitive meds delivered in clear packaging, and low quality medical supplies thrown into white paper shopping bags without care! Daytime nurses and/or Case Managers, as they like to be referred to, are subpar at the very least, most of them lack clinical experience and possess very little if any "skilled" nursing experience especially when it comes to central line and port care! They WILL NOT work with you regarding scheduling, if you don't fit in line with THEIR schedules then "You'll just have to go to the ER." Their printed motto of "PASSION, INTEGRITY, HONESTY, STEWARDSHIP and QUALITY" DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED AND REVISED as this company does EVERYTHING BUT live up to these words!!!! Furthermore, IF you should make the unfortunate choice of going with this so called "company", beware of the Barking Dog.. ie Nursing Supervisor, Cassandra! She will proceed to talk over you in a VERY LOUD and unpleasant tone as she tries to use her word salad to confuse you further and taut lies for the company about how patient care comes first!!! THERE IS NO QUALITY PATIENT CARE!!! At least not with Daytime nursing within this company! However, their SWAT, PM, and PRN nurses (who they WILL NOT send out unless it's an emergency visit), are well trained and skilled at what they do! It's not often that one can say that an angel rings your doorbell in the form of a male PT nurse from AZ Home Care. That's exactly what happened to me the first time Justin Rodgers came to my house to help me. I was trying to recover from an aortic dissection and I was out of breath just walking to the front door to let him in. He was able to immediately give me some breathing exercises to do to slow down my breath. My heart rate was always in the high 90s and he was able to show me how to get that down as well. We then went on to some Strength Training exercises and he worked with me very slowly even though I exercised every day of my life, age had caught up to me at 77 after the aortic dissection. He was very understanding and very positive about my ability to get back to where I was. In the course of events, I let him know that I was going through a stressful home situation that was causing my muscles to tense up and render me in pain. With that information he gave me the correct muscle relaxing exercises to do. It is very rare to find a PT nurse who not only takes care of your physical well-being but actually is there to help you work through pain caused by underlying stress. Rob was my physical therapist post op following right hip revision surgery. For approx one year prior, I was unable to walk, so my muscles were weak and it was a challenge to get me back on my feet. Fortunately, Rob knew what I needed to do, and very ably guided me toward recovery. Rob's efforts on my behalf made a big difference in a very short timeframe. I am very happy that Rob was my PT. I would like to take this opportunity to give a very heartfelt shout out to the outstanding employees at Az Home Care. I recently found myself in the unenviable position of having to have double total knee replacement surgery this year with the second one only being 2.5 months out from the first. My orthopedic surgeon highly recommended I contact Az Home Care to come to my home once I returned from my surgery and I can certainly see why! First off, I want to express my appreciation for Jason for doing an outstanding job of getting everyone's schedules coordinated to make sure I would have everything I needed in a timely manner. He was so helpful and went out of his way to patiently explain how the whole process works. Jason explained the time line for who would be contacting me and approximately when I should expect to hear from them. That was incredibly helpful as this was all new to me. Second, I want to thank the wonderful folks who delivered the IV medicine I would need once I got home from each surgery. They were both remarkably kind and made sure I didn't have any questions before they departed. I regret I did not make a note of their names because I really appreciated all of their hard work. I am so terribly sorry for my oversight. Then, there were the two nurses who came to my home to set up my IVs after each surgery. The first was a very sweet nurse by the name of Cheryl (sp?). She was very professional and put me at ease right away. The next nurse who came to set up my IV after surgery number two was Todd. He too was an absolute delight to work with. He had a positive and high energy personality which was nothing short of contagious. Finally, there was Jared who was my in home PT and Joelle who was the nurse assigned to check in on me during the first several days I was at home recovering. There are truly no words that could even begin to express how fortunate I feel to have had the opportunity to spend time with the both of them. I just wish I could have had them around longer! Jared and Joelle always had a kind word of encouragement to offer when I needed it the most. I think it speaks volumes when you become so attached to people you hardly had the chance to get to know. They were both exceptional to the point where I specifically requested to have them come back after returning home from my second surgery. Joelle displayed extraordinary patience with me when she would quiz me on what would be sure signs of problems to be watching for, post-surgery. She always displayed a genuine concern for my well-being and would make certain everything was going well before departing to see her next patient. Jared would always make sure and offer kind words of encouragement whenever he stopped by to do some PT with me. He was always so upbeat and my brother and I always looked forward to his visits so we could have him catch us up on his family or share a funny story with him. Both of them left an indelible mark on the lives of my brother (aka post-surgery caretaker, extraordinaire) and I. We cannot thank them enough for all they did to answer our endless questions or calm my concerns. The recovery from TKR surgery is even tougher than I imagined, but having such an amazing team of people to help walk us through this really helped make it so much more tolerable. Within the last six months, I have had total knee replacement on both knees. The second was a reconstructive surgery. Arizona Home Care had a physical therapist come to my home three times a week for the first two weeks after the surgery. Angie was my physical therapist and she is very skilled with the beginning process to gain range of motion and extension very quickly after surgery for improved movement in the knee. I wouldn't count on anything from these people with the exception of taking vitals each visit with a nurse. We had Nurse Julie and she just basically blowed smoke up our ass about any nursing services. I needed nutritional therapy and nothing was done. I'm bedbound and cannot digest food properly so I'm basically dying. Down to 90 pounds. Save your money. Save your insurance money as well . Buy a blood pressure meter from Walgreens instead. Your health is FAR too important to entrust with this company! They call themselves Arizona Home CARE. In truth, they care about one thing - not you, but their bottom line. If I miss an infusion, my life is literally put at risk. Still, undeterred, they threatened to cancel my coverage shortly before an infusion (w/o giving me enough time to find another provider). Not because they couldn't get the medicine, but because they decided my insurance wasn't paying enough, even though THEY AGREED TO THE PAYMENTS. Only after threatening them with a lawsuit, they backed down. Then, several weeks later, after Blue Cross Blue Shield cancelled Maricopa County coverage, another problem came up. I offered to pay for my treatment out-of-pocket with a payment plan and a $1,000 deposit, since I didn't have time to look elsewhere, and once again, missing a treatment puts my life at risk. That wasn't enough, they told me, and asked for a $4,500 deposit. Luckily, I could get the money together. So, I called them back to tell them I'd pay the up-front amount. Then, however, they told me, I now had to pay the entire $5,600 cost up-front, even though most other patients can sign-up for payment plans on amounts approaching $1,500. Genie in billing is an angel, and Scott is a quality nurse. Robyn, the "brand ambassador" in billing, is the unique sort of nice person who will tell you to "have a nice day," after putting your life at risk. The owner, meanwhile, is a total, 100% scumbag. I have had an excellent experience with Arizona Home Care. My nurse, Joelle was wonderfully skilled in managing wound care. Additionally along with her skill in managing my wound care, her warm and caring character gave me confidence and I trusted her to help guide us through healing. Her consistency with following infection control practices each and every time let me know she was being careful. She followed COVID precautions so consistently that I knew she does these things for all patients. She always called prior to an appointment and always came on time. They provided in home nursing care after my hospital stay. They refused to bill Medicare, even though they did not provide me with an Advanced Beneficiary Notice of Noncoversge, required by Medicare. Will be reporting them to Medicare for fraud. Also experienced condescending attitude from billing department, specifically Aaron. Also notifying hospital and doctor that referred this organization of their refusal to bill Medicare. read more

Following discharge from Mayo Hospital, I was prescribed physical therapy at home for the first few weeks of recovery from a knee replacement revision. Arizona Home Care sent Preston as my therapist. I've had lots of physical therapy over the years and Preston is GREAT! He is caring, challenges me to work hard while keeping me safe. Preston is always on time and continually goes the extra mile. It can't be easy treating patients after knee surgery... it's very hard work, we're all in pain and I don't think I'm the only one who gets cranky! Preston turns things around and before I know it I'm motivated to keep working toward recovery. I'll miss Preston as I transition to standard clinical PT. read more

After coming home from Mayo Clinic Hospital with a temporary Ileostomy, Arizona Home Care, their staff, and especially the Nurses, were fantastic! Everything was taken care of for me regarding ordering supplies, and when I needed a nurse to come between the normally scheduled appointments they came quickly. Because I had such a difficult time, there were many nurses that came to my home to care for me. Each was kind, caring, efficient, knowledgeable, and set me at ease about my problems. I cannot recommend them highly enough as they truly made six weeks of hell tolerable! My "main" care nurse, Michelle W, was wonderful and flawlessly coordinated my home care. I am so grateful that they were recommended to me at discharge from the hospital. read more

I would give ZERO stars if possible. My nurses were amazing but the billing practices of this company are downright fraudulent. My insurance company authorized all of my care and was going to cover it 100%... however AHC did not file the claims in a timely manner. The first time they did this the claims were a year old. By the time they sent the claims to my insurance, they were denied because they had not filed them in a timely manner and AHC rolled the bills over to me. I went back and forth with them for about 6 months until someone at the company said I would need to file the appeal with my insurance company and there was nothing they could do. I filed the appeal with my insurance for the claims they should have filed at the time of service. Fortunately my insurance approved my appeal and covered the first round of bills. A few months later, when I think I'm done with this horrible company, they send me the second round of bills from claims not filed TWO years ago. This is ridiculous and I can see from other reviews that this is how they operate. They don't like the amount insurance will pay out so they don't file claims and eventually go after the patient, saying insurance "denied". They have been threatening me with going to a collection agency during all of this. I can go through the appeals process with my insurance again but something needs to be done about this company's practices. It is downright wrong what they're doing and putting their patients through. If you're receiving in home health care, you probably already have enough on your plate. If anyone has any advice, I'm all ears. At this point, I don't think my insurance should pay them and I definitely am not going to. read more

This is a follow up to my 12/19/2016 review. Still waiting for itemized list of per diem charges regarding bills. My doctor ordered an IV antibiotic for myself. After the experience with my mom, I told AZ Homecare that I did not want any supplies, I just wanted the antibiotic. I discussed this at length with them. Once again, I received a bill after treatment that had my antibiotic charge 20.67. Insurance paid 10.00. They also had on the bill Per Diem at 560.00. The only thing they had to do was deliver the medication. Unbelievable. I was so fed up with these people that I did some research. I wanted to give my doctor a better place to send patients to. If I had to use an IV care center again in Scottsdale area, I would call Corum Infusion Services. They are part of CVS. Their phone number at the Pheonix branch is 602-438-7888. I have not used them, but I have spoken with them. They are very up front with their billing practices and discuss all costs with the patients before services are rendered. I wish my doctor had referred me to these people instead of AZ Homecare. read more
