We discussed in detail the shape of the pad we wanted and how we wanted it to match our pool surrounding with the acrylic overcoating. Ben acted like it was an easy request and didn't voice or show any concern. He then gave us a quote of $800 - $1000 verbally. Said they would call to schedule his concrete guy to come out over the weekend or first of the next week. Never heard from him until 4 days later, when I received the quote which was several hundred dollars higher than the quote range he gave verbally in our yard. Against my better judgment, I trusted him and approved the portion of the quote I wanted to move forward with. I asked when the approved portion of the job could be done. I was told he needed to check with his concrete guy. A week later, on Nov 3, I finally get a text at 7:22pm stating they will be out the next morning at 9am. I wasn't asked if this time worked for me, which would have been appropriate based on how quickly they were coming. When Ben arrived at my house with the concrete guy, his demeanor was completely different. He would hardly look me in the eye, was rude, condescending and smirking. He was acting as if we hadn't even discussed the details of the project. We absolutely did so during his first visit when he was friendly, courteous and kind. The whole encounter was very strange based on the complete change in his attitude, behavior and demeaning treatment. In addition, Ben also acted as if our request for a rounded 7' X 5' pad was a much more difficult project than he had first indicated. The following day -November 4th, I received a text with and updated estimate. This estimate was over THREE TIMES the initial quote. I was shocked. We went from a quote range of $800-$1000 to a new price of over $3,000. I responded to him sharing my shock regarding this new quote. His response was completely inadequate and unacceptable. Luckily I had downloaded both quotes because as soon as I called him out on his dishonesty, he went into his system and deleted the quotes. Talk about red flag! He was knowingly trying to rip us off after initialy seeming so honest. He then went on to blame his concrete guy as if he himself had no idea how much concrete cost. Are you kidding me? What kind of business is this? CONCRETE is part of your business name and you're telling me you have no idea how much the concrete will cost for a small 7 X 5 pad? Wow. Shady. Be aware that your first quote from llustrious Concrete will be meaningless. Instead, save yourself from dealing with this guy and don't get a quote at all.

Illustrious Concrete Coatings did such a fantastic job on my patio and pool area, that I contracted them to coat my garage floor as well! Price and quality can't be beat!

I figired it would take a few weeks to get the materials, but was shocked to discover that it would only take a matter of days! Cost was a major factor, as well as time to complete the project so we could make the house livable again. Emmanuel was immediately responsive to our initial inquiry, and met me at the house as soon as I could free up time the next evening. He was thorough in his inspection, showed me costs and breakdowns for everything we were trying to do, and some flooring options. I thought I could save money purchasing the flooring on my own, which he supported. After doing my research, he was cheaper than anything I could find, and came back out a second time that weekend so my wife could pick out the flooring from his samples. He had a crew start that next week, and knocked it out of the park. We had some other projects going on at the same time, and his crew was not only respectful and worked well with the other groups, they were super helpful and helped with some things that wasn't in their project (like helping with some bulk trash and working around the painter). They also responded quickly to some project changes, like when I asked them to add baseboards, even though I initially asked them to exclude it. Throughout it all, Emmanuel kept me updated daily with phone calls and texts with pictures showing the progress. I was and am very impressed by Emmanuel and his team. They did a great job at more than a fair price, IMHO. While I'm hoping I don't need to replace floors any time soon, he will definitely be the first one I call.

I sought consultation and bids from several firms that would provide a solution and ultimately decided on Sunset Garage Flooring. Their price was competitive, and I appreciated that one of the owners had 12 years of experience in this type of flooring. The owners are veterans and firefighters who impressed me with their integrity and customer service. I watched them remove the old adhesive and place the new floor. Their attention to detail and commitment to perfection were noted. Grinding the old adhesive off was dusty, and they worked hard to limit the dust from spreading. The completed floor looks great, and I have received many compliments on the result. After completion, I decided to have them do a project on my patio. Again, the result is excellent. I would highly recommend the company for your garage floor needs.

While we were still able, we decided to have a…read morebit of remodeling done... a new bathroom with a walk in tub, cabinetry in the den, and new counter tops in the kitchen and laundry room. We also had a few other areas addressed but these were the major changes. Tom, the owner of Albrecht and Son, came out and sketched our a plan for each room. The remodel was a long and tedious process but we made it through. I was impressed with most of the workers (the superintendent needs a vacation) and the completed work was very, very nice... except the counter tops in the kitchen. Lee's Tapps Counter Tops, LLC installed the granite. Our selection came from the showroom at Albrecht's but the actual rock came from Tapps. They installed it and then they left. For weeks afterwards, no matter how many times I cleaned it, there was a gritty feeling on it, morning, noon or night. I reported this but Tapps never offered to replace it. Instead they simply implied that it was either dirty or it was my imagination. Eventually, I stopped talking about it. When the entire remodel was done, and everyone was paid, Tom asked me if I was happy. He really wanted me to be happy. You have to love that guy. I told him that every time I ran my hand over the granite, I cried. He then set me up with a different company and let us select the slabs of our choice. I know he lost money on this deal but I have to give him credit. He is a true professional and I recommend his company without reservation. I would have given them 5 stars but the superintendent's attitude and the cabinet makers lack of concern about the "little things" deserve the loss of at least one star. Trust me, if you are honest and up front with Tom, he will take care of you. I've posted a few pictures of the end results. Like I said, we have a modest home but I can truthfully say, I am happy with the work.
