I take my class across the hall from my kid's classroom. The instructors are approachable, always ready to answer questions, and the staff couldn't be more respectful. It's amazing to walk into a place where everyone knows your name; we feel like we are part of the Bellicose family every time we step in. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, welcoming, family-oriented, and top-notch fitness, martial arts, and self defense experience in the Bowie/Crofton area.

My hesitation was unwarranted because Bellicose is fantastic!! The owners and instructors are encouraging and very helpful. Mr. Q plays no games and that is what I needed. In the beginning, I only came if my friends came-now I go alone if they can't make it. My confidence and stamina has grown in these few months. I can't thank them enough. The energy is infectious and I have made many new friends. If you are looking for a supportive, fun place to get in shape-Bellicose is it.

Since I'm not really a class or group instructed fitness type of person, I never really thought about this location too heavily. Then my trainer dropped out of heaven especially for me!! We train here on a regular basis and I love all of what the gym has to offer. I get a full and intense work-out each and every time I'm here. Kettle bells, suicides, boxing, you name it, I do it here. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful. Always speaking to you, encouraging/motivating you, joking with you and just providing excellent customer service. The gym offers classes for children, as well as adults. I can't give specifics on the classes offered, because I'm not exactly sure what they are, but I do know I see repeat clients. So whatever classes they have, keeps them coming back, week after week. An actual boxing ring is on one side and artificial turf is on another, with boxing bags and other equipment located throughout. I love it! It's a much different gym than I'm use too. I have a membership at another gym and I haven't been there since I started at Level Up. Note to self: CANCEL THE OTHER MEMBERSHIP! I don't feel intimidated, nor do I feel like all eyes are on me. Granted, there are many more men than women here, but everyone is here for a reason. They're here to either perfect their craft or get an awesome work-out. The staff does a great job in keeping the gym clean. The environment and staff is friendly. The energy they have can be contiguous. They offer a lot of workout options for kids, adolescent, and adults. They tend to have a lot of groups activities which cater to adults. Why my four stars. I think they could do a little more for the kids training. Since my children started they continue to keep them with the kids who are beginning. An issue for me since my kids have to restart the basic training which takes time from their training. They should keep the new incoming kids separated from the experienced. Once they catch up with the basic they can be included. Overall, I'll continue. It has help my girls in many positive ways. We might take a break but plan to continue in the future.

Well, I was on the fence about writing this review, because I absolutely love my personal trainer and I didn't want others infringing upon our sessions. Besides, I didn't want everyone to know my little secret....find your own trainer! LOL! Ultimately, I decided to write this review because I know what an awesome personal trainer Darnell is and figured I should share. I can't express enough how much Darnell has changed my work-out experience! Never have I ever been a person to look forward to working out. Since working out with Mr. Strong Soul himself, I not only look forward to working-out, I show up early and give 100% each and every time. Darnell is a certified professional trainer, professional MMA fighter, motivational speaker, self defense instructor, nutritional adviser, and has a certified purple belt in Brazilian jujitsu. Jack of all trades and a master at ALL that he touches. More than a trainer who's yelling and barking orders, he genuinely cares about making you the healthiest you've ever been. His vibrant spirit and encouragement makes you feel that you can take on the world. While his calm demeanor makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. He expects great things from you and makes sure you're getting the best possible results, to reach your goal. He takes into consideration former or present injuries and customizes your work-outs to suit your needs. He's punctual, encouraging, professional, accommodating and an extremely hard worker. He's not just my trainer, he's like the little brother I never had. We've bonded and now there's no getting rid of me, well until I reach my goal weight. Lol! With such a positive outlook on life, you can't help but to comply to his orders and work your hardest. So there you have it...cat's out the bag, the jig is up, my best kept secret is now out for the world to see. Side note: Hopefully this awesome review will pull at Darnell's heart strings and he'll allow me to eat some freaking bread and pasta!! Somehow, I highly doubt it though. LOL!

Maybe he is that way when he is fighting, but he is good to us and helps us do our best in every class. I've spoken to Kail (the owner) a lot through email and he's been super-helpful and nice. I attended several upper level classes at Watchdog, as well as the cardio kickboxing classes and definitely enjoyed them. Those cardio kickboxing classes were super challenging and fun. The upper level classes were great as well, though I noticed minute differences in the Watchdog techniques than what I'd previously learned. I liked the Watchdog take on things, but had a hard time transitioning my style after having slightly different training for so long. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed the martial arts classes, and the instructors were as nice and welcoming as they were experts in the discipline. It reminded me of better times at my past gym, and I felt good whenever I was at Watchdog. Alas, by the time I signed up with Watchdog, I was burned out on the discipline, and I ended up canceling my contract. However, if I ever get the urge to do Krav again, Watchdog is where I will go. Definitely recommend.
