The furniture is expensive but surprisingly not well-made, the "designers" not that helpful and definitely not concerned about your needs once they get their commission. Their delivery service and scheduling is terrible. $299 to deliver one piece, you have no say in the time, not professional or customer-oriented. Also, a cord was missing and it's now MY problem. Unfortunately, I share the experience many individuals who already posted had. Jane was very willing to accommodate scheduling to lock in the deal, but once completed (for a full dining room), she hasn't made herself available for questions or issues, and we continue to wait for any updates tied to our order. What's more, the rug delivered has a noticeable defect on it - it took me following up multiple times to get any resolution, but it's not even full remediation as we are waiting for a replacement rug. I wish I had checked the reviews before purchasing $20k worth of furniture from this store. Upon arriving, I was amazed by the wide variety of seemingly high quality items that were in the showroom. Unfortunately, it became a nightmare shortly after. I was promised my furniture before Christmas. I compromised on what I really wanted since I had just purchased a new home and it was empty. I opted to get what would be available sooner rather than what I truly wanted. They tried to deliver my kitchen table in November. As soon as they unloaded it from the truck, they noticed that it was cracked in half. They eventually have gave me a loaner because I complained about my children not having a place to eat. I changed my table to one that was available sooner. Here I am halfway through April and my furniture is just being delivered today. When the delivery driver arrived, they told me that they don't have the kitchen table. When I scheduled the delivery, they told me that everything was in stock. Now I'm being told that the table that I switched to because it would be available sooner now won't be available until June and I am livid. Although I do have a loaner table, it's very difficult to furnish and decorate a home around a loaner table that isn't even the same color as the permanent table. I am VERY frustrated and I 100% will not be shopping with this company again. Learn from my mistake, and take your money elsewhere. This company is trying to pass themselves off as selling "high end" furniture, yet it is anything but. I spent $6k on a sectional, which has material that is fraying after light use. Customer service suggested using a fabric shaver. Material should not have to be shaved after a few years. Quality fabrics last longer than 2 years. It's absurd that they even respond with this. I'm disgusted that I went here, and thought I was getting a good piece of furniture that would last. My friend and I stoped in Arhouse in Oak Brook to look at furniture. It is very beautifully decorated store! We needed to use rest room, so we asked the location. So we open the door and there is a man using urinal and we both close the door and stood speechless. When he went outside we went in, but the door doesn't close, so one of us stood outside to protect people come in. This is absolutely not good! How about children walk in? Is this safe? I'd rather shop online than go to the location in Oak Brook. Most of the sales staff there is not friendly. I was there with my daughter Black Friday and I stopped a salesman to ask a question and he appeared annoyed that I stopped him that my daughter mentioned it before I mentioned it. This is not the first and only time how sales staff are from previous visits. I ordered furniture in June 2023 .. the fabric on the chairs that I ordered has been discontinued--they told me about the discontinued fabric in August and the new fabric that I choose to replace the discontinued is now out of stock. They are now saying delivery at Xmas. Six months for delivery. Customer service has been just as bad trying to get a delivery date for the furniture that has come in. When I called the 800 concierge number she acted like 'oh well' not even addressing the delay. After several calls and emails I still have not received a response. The sales people at the Oak Brook showroom are happy to say hello and give you time to look on your own or help when you need it. The Oakbrook IL store displays/designs and merchandise is wonderful but the Store sales team is not. It seems everyone in on the phone or staring at a computer. It takes a while for them to realize customers are in the store. Recently the store was closed for inventory but no advance notice was given customers. Wasted trip so I went to Ethan Allen across the street. It would have been so easy to tell customers in advance the date the store had inventory. read more

I do not know where to start. My wife went to this location and purchased a bed frame. She loved the look of it and spent nearly $3,000 on it. To start it was not delivered for nearly 6 months, now 3 months later the bed frame is split in half. I am 175 lbs and my wife is 100 lbs, we are not jumping on the bed I promise you that and this bed split in half. When we called customer service, they were unfriendly, unable to help and overall a complete nightmare. Their warranty for defects, is a straight up lie and they will over charge you for a low quality piece of furniture and turn their back on you when it is time to put their money where their mouth is. We have purchased numerous items from this store. However, be aware that the quality of some items may not stand the test of time. For instance, check out the photo I have included of the leather dining room chair. The leather literally started peeling off after about five years. And is only getting worse. We have two of these chairs and the other is perfect so it's clearly defective. You would think Arhaus would stand by their product. Nope. After our short warranty expired, the answer was NO. They gave us the card of a third party who repairs furniture. Really? This is not inexpensive furniture. I expect much more. Beware. read more

I placed my order on August 13, 2021. Received delivery February 17, 2022. I knew the wait would be long but when finally delivered, the wrong chair was marked as mine and the ottoman had a defect. I rejected the order was assured I would receive a call from Joe, the person in charge of handling these issues. I waited a week and have heard nothing. My order was supposed to be in by February but when I called, they said it wouldn't be until April now. It's one thing to have supply chain problems but when trying to follow up on this, I called the store and was disconnected 3x. I am all over the board on this place. The store is nice with some good choices on a variety of furniture. they are on the high end in pricing. But you get what you pay for. Found a bedroom set that had everything needed. Big and chunky, nice and looks like it will last forever. Scored a decent deal on price with the sale. A week later I noticed the cost was cheaper online. Not a problem received the lower price. Feeling good now. After completing some remodeling at home its time to set up delivery. Now things started to get bad. The delivery guys showed up at 8am. Walk to the neighbors until I say I'm here. Now its time to unload. Unload they did, right in the street. They unpacked the furniture out of the boxes then proceeded to place the dresser on its top on the cart? Why? As soon as they moved it, BOOM off the concrete. Damaged for sure. They bring it in and say we can have a tech come out and touch it up. Dude it is gouged not chipped. Not touch up will save this. Next came the Wardrobe, this piece made it to the house the they hit something and gouged. It was a sad undertaking watching this. Called the store and they finally return call and say they will replace. Yes you will. New delivery is now 2 weeks out. Why not sooner? We do not have anything available, um I think it would be a good gesture. Not happening. Okay, I will deal with it. New furniture arrived as scheduled. The delivery guy came up introduced himself and his helpers. They asked to see where the furniture had to go. Then they made a plan on how to proceed. These guys were top notch. Very professional and knew what they were doing. They delivered and removed the damaged furniture in no time at all. No damage, no bumps, no scrapes on the walls. Great job by this crew. The furniture looks great and I got what I wanted and paid for. I do believe that the customer service aspect should have been better. A call from the manager of the store would have been nice. But did not happen. I did have to reach out to our salesperson and ask a few things that they should have done without my asking. This is my favorite furniture store! They have the trendiest furniture I have ever seen. They would get a five star rating if their prices were better (expensive) and they have a $200 delivery charge (again expensive). So far I bought a dining table and a sectional. Quality is pretty good! They stand behind their product. All of their sales people are solid. They always greet me when I walk in. I like Jane, she is good!! The customer service for Arhaus is horrible. This is my second sofa I have ordered from them and was very pleased with the first. This second experience is horrible. The coach was delivered in great time frame but the seat cushions are completely different. It is a sectional and the seating goes up and down because the cushions are stuffed completely different. I have placed many calls and emails, pictures, and called the store to talk to the sales person and he has now sent them an email. This is the worst. I will never buy from arhaus again now that I know this is how you treat your costumer. We have a long distance move from IL to AZ and coordinating a move this far has its challenges. Especially when it comes to what you should take with you and what to leave behind. Jane at Arhuas helped us out immediately when we stopped in the store review design choices for our new home. I know Arhaus can be pricey but excellent quality. So we watch for sales which she kept us aware over over the year and we were able to furnish 80% of our new home in AZ. Jane and Arhaus delivery were amazing as well coordinating delivery with me while I was out in AZ. They unpacked, double checked and confirmed everything was to our expectations! I truly wish I could give them 0. They either have lying sales people or an absolutely horrifically bad logistics system. We have not received a single item near the quoted delivery date from multiple orders over the past year. There's always an excuse, the story always changes, no one seems to have any idea of what's really happening and theres never an attempt to fix the situation. When you spend this kind of money, decent customer service and honest communications should be a minimum bar that's met, they don't even come close. The only way we know whats going on with their missed dates is to call, and then follow up and call again, and call again. Do not EVER buy a copper top table from this place. The laquer finish flakes off and customer support will say it's your fault. It's cheaper to buy another $1300 table than to get it repaired. Very disappointed!! Incredibly poor service. My fiancé and I were told we were submitting a joint application for their financing to purchase a couch and desk. When I called their credit company the next day, I am told they do not even do joint applications and only my fiancé's name was listed on the account. I also called Arhaus and the customer service rep who answered the phone also confirmed they do not do joint applications. ( ok so why did i just give the Arhaus sales guy both of our social security, address, phone, number and place of employment and what did he do with that information!?! And why did he tell us that we were both on the application and filing jointly ?!?) I was told she would look into the matter and have a manager call me back. Of course, never heard back anything from Arhaus. We were also denied for the financing due to lack of sufficient credit history at the address provided. We told the sales associate we had just moved into our house one week prior, so why would he use that new address rather than the address provided on the drivers license we gave him!?! My fiancé's and my credit scores are both well over 800 and we have never had an issue getting approved for anything. So now we have a hit run on his credit without getting any benefit in return. We ended up just purchasing the items outright because we were sick of dealing with both Arhaus and the credit company. So now of course, it has been several weeks and still no couch or desk or any word from Arhaus.... Save yourself a few headaches and go to pottery barn or macys next door! read more

Pretty much every piece of furniture I've bought in the last 10 years has been from Arhaus! The quality is amazing. They have so many designs to choose from and the style is gorgeous. I had an issue with an upholstered bench I bought almost a year ago (the seam split) and they replaced it for me immediately. My last few purchases have been with Jane. She is incredibly thorough and patient. I had to go back and forth with her over several days as I made changes to my design and she went above and beyond to help. Ordered a piece for our office. When it was delivered, the wood had a crack through the leg. What was worse, they tried to resend the same exact piece the following week. The 3rd delivery they came 2 1/2 hrs after their guaranteed 2 hour window to replace it. Now dealing with the hassle of a return. They are incompetent and the store manager is unqualified to run a store. Not even a single call, and it took me calling the store multiple times to get an email back from here a week later. I recently purchased and received a dining table from Arhaus. I was replacing a large glass rectangular table that I've had for almost 30 years. My old table was not safe with my 8 grandchildren. Arhaus had a beautiful copper top oval table that was just perfect. I was able to pick the finish and choose from a selection of bases. I ordered it in the beginning of March and was told it would take 3 months. I was concerned with the pandemic just starting, things would be delayed. But it wasn't. I have shopped at this store with my Mom on numerous occasions. My mother bought my father a beautiful leather recliner here less than a year ago. However, their customer service today was horrible. I saw a two piece cabinet. One of the cabinets had a price tag that said, "Sale $299." I asked one of their sales associates, Joyce, if that price included both of the cabinets. Joyce looked at the tag, which read "2 cabinet." Joyce stated that the sales price included both cabinets and commented that the second cabinet would have had a separate price tag if it was not included in the sale. I then went downstairs to purchase it. At that time, a man working behind the counter stated that the sales price only included the smaller cabinet. The man also insisted that the other cabinet had a separate price tag and that a price list was on the cabinets. Joyce disagreed and said that the tag was not clear. We then walked with Joyce and the man upstairs. The piece had ONE tag and read, "2 cabinet." The man then insisted that was because the tag meant 2 cubby cabinet. I pointed out that the tag did not say "cubby" it said "cabinet" and that there wasn't a separate price tag on the other cabinet or a price list nearby. He then walks away from the piece and brings a price list located elsewhere in the store. Not only did the man refuse to admit that the price tag was mislabeled, but he implied that I should have known that the price would not include both cabinets. I am not stupid, I graduated from law school and interpret writings for a living. I also asked Joyce to clarify that the sales price included both cabinets-which she did. The man then wanted me to purchase the set for $900. I refused and suggested he add a separate label to the other cabinet, an idea which he scoffed at. I would not have left so upset if the man had simply admitted he was wrong and the tag was mislabeled. Your own sales associate agreed with me! On top of this, my Aunt fell in love with a cabinet but needed it shipped to Texas. Apparently, Arhaus doesn't ship items that have glass. My Mother and I agree, we will no longer be shopping at Arhaus. However, I want to be clear that Joyce was a great sales associate and I do not blame my disappointment on her excellent customer service. read more

Let me start out by saying , I really had high hopes for this furniture store - as I liked it's variety of furniture samples. We just moved into a new house in Plainfield and needed some dining room and family room furniture. We had Arhaus's design experts come in to help figure out what we could do with the family room - as it's pretty big and we didn't know where to begin. We started off with a dining table and buffet. The buffet table came in with a huge dent in the wood. We told the Arhaus movers - and they said someone would contact us regarding the dent. No one did. I had to call myself and then they finally called back 2-3 days later saying either we keep the dented buffet with a 10% discount or we get a new one. Obviously - 10% compensation is not sufficient - when you buy something new - you want it to look NEW. So we told them to replace it - and they did - but that required a new delivery appointment - which is really hard to fit in with two working individuals. They also don't let you know what time they will be coming to deliver your furniture until the day before. Following this - we still liked the furniture, so we brushed off these shortcomings and decided to continue with the design team to create the family room we wanted. We went into the store - where Donna helped us - and they were polite. Told us the total - which was close to $20 K - but we knew the investment going into it would be high - so we agreed. We got a custom sofa , two armchairs with custom fabric , a chaise, a mirror, two small stools , a tall Luca table, and that buffet I mentioned earlier. We put down whatever down payment they asked for to start - And they told us as the pieces came in they would call to get the remaining balance. We didn't receive any deliveries until about 8 weeks later (minus that buffet- which we purchased separately), because they were all custom orders - fine! Worth the wait... Right? Eh. The furniture came in - of course at inconvenient times- sometimes after the scheduled time window- but we dealt with it. Donna would call back religiously to make sure we made our payment- which we always did as they asked. It got to the point where it was like - relax Donna. We are going to pay you for this furniture- stop acting like you're a collections agency - have some class! The sofa we purchased was an extended L-shaped sofa that has connectors underneath that hold the separate parts of the sofa together. Well every time someone sits down, it wiggles a bit. Seemed different from what we tried out at the show room in Oak Brook. So I called and left a message for Donna - since she was never available to talk or in the store once we had made our full payment.... Surprise surprise. Finally she calls back 2-3 days later and says she will send one of their technicians out to inspect the sofa . I schedule the time. It was something like between the hours of 1-4 on a Tuesday. He shows up at 4:45 looks underneath the sofa and says there's nothing wrong. Ok ?!?!?! I call Donna back to complain. She never responds. Fine. So I'm upset - maybe I'm overreacting I tell myself. We decide instead of looking for furniture at the oak brook location, we would try the Schaumburg Arhaus. Why judge a company by one location right? Eh.. We go to the Schaumburg location in Feb- whenever they were having some sort of close out sale - before their new pieces come in for the spring. We found a nice small table that we thought would be a good piece for our mud room.It was small enough that it could fit in our Jeep. So we told them we liked it - wanted to buy it - but didn't want to deal with their delivery service, since we had a few bad experiences with delivery timing earlier and as it was too much of a hassle or reschedule work around 1 small table. Well, as soon as I said that the manager that was at the front desk jumped into the conversation and said - if you decide to take that piece on your own - your warranty is null and void. Ok - we didn't love the idea of it - but were still ok with taking that risk for a small table. She went on to say that the table, once it was ordered, was going to come in on a Wednesday 2 weeks from that day and we would be expected to pick up the piece THAT DAY. Now if she had expressed herself politely maybe my husband and I wouldn't have been so upset about this whole ordeal - but that attitude she have us was unwarranted. I replied -nicely still - that that wouldn't be possible as both of us work that day - and coming all the way to Schaumburg wouldn't work. She said "well that's all we can do for you." The nerve! We went on to say we were already good clients of Arhaus - had invested so much time and money into shopping with them this year alone and that they should be a little more considerate. We left without purchasing the table. I called corporate to discuss this exchange and they were just as rude. For a business I just spent 20 K with- I'm disgusted !!!!!! read more

I have been all over town and finally found what we were looking for. As we are in Oak Brook I expected great service and that is what we received. Came back a couple of times to make sure there wasn't anything that we forgot. We held off the delivery for a couple of weeks to get the place painted and the floors in. I was excited that everything was coming together and we would have the house finished in time for my mothers big birthday party. Right! The delivery guys were on time. But when I saw them arguing at the end of the driveway, That is when I knew I needed to pop a pill or leave the house and head to a bar at 9 in the morning. They unwrapped/boxed the furniture in the street with the dirty snow and they put the long dresser upside down and proceeded to ram it into the curb! The drawers kept flopping open as they tried to get it up the driveway and into the garage. I walked into the garage where one of the guys proceeded to tell me that we ordered the heaviest furniture that Arhaus makes and that they will write on the paperwork to have a service tech come out here and fix the damage. He seriously didn't just say that to me! Then started the argument as to how they were going to get it into the bedroom. I tried to stay out of it, but if these two didn't get the hell out of my house soon I was going to loose it. I politely told them to stand it on it's end and drag it into the room on the moving cloth. I was told it wouldn't work because it would hit the light and the door frame was too low. I asked them again to try it. And guess what. When they got it in place I saw the white chalky concrete from the curb and immediately called Arhaus. It was a quarter to 9 and they were not open. I had to listen to a message from the Thursday before when they were closed for inventory. I told them that I was not accepting any damage on my furniture and no guy with a marker is coming to my home to fix anything. I wanted a new dresser, and that is what I wrote on the paperwork. When They got to the 8' wardrobe I took the paperwork into the basement and turned the television on high and waited for my mate to tell me they bashed that into the wall as well. I received a call 4 hours later. I assume that no one wanted to call me back to respond to my question. Do I have them take this back, or keep it until you get the new furniture here? They obviously waited until our sales person came in and said. "Here's your shit storm". Happy Saturday! How unprofessional! I have been a salesman all my life and if you don't have good support behind you then your whole organization is for shit! Seriously bad move! Then we get a call later in the day to tell us the good news. We have the pieces in stock but we can't deliver them for two weeks. Ha! Your a riot! I love the fact that you send two inexperienced men to deliver furniture and then we have to wait because it is an inconvenience to you to rectify a situation that you created. Sounds about right! Arhaus furniture looks great in the store, and is expensive for the quality of workmanship! We purchased a sectional, THE SALE qualified us to upgrade the fabrics. After waiting several weeks for our delivery, I compared the fabric on the sofa with the sample upgraded fabric, and it did NOT COMPARE. The color was the same, but the fabric on the finished product was no where near the same grade. Talked with the customer service division, and the store manager got me nowhere, as they contend that it is the same fabric and they have not changed manufacturers. One year later, the sofa looks very worn....the fabric on multiple cushions has slid to one side, making the sofa look cheap. I'm always attempting to re-adjust the cushion fabric, but it is of no use. We use this sectional in our theater room, so it is used only a few times a week, if that...and we are two adults in this household with children visiting occasionally. NOT a great piece for family use...... I have purchased many pieces if furniture from Arhaus, but WOULD NOT RECOMMEND purchasing a sofa at their prices, as they do not stand behind their workmanship!! read more

I was looking for months for a sofa that does not have chemicals and was told by a salesperson at Arhaus that their sofas were chemical free. So, I have now lost count of the number of times Arhaus have re-delivered our coffee table, every time it has scratches or is chipped. Their solution is to re-deliver. Sometimes they will call to confirm the appointment others not. This time the customer service person mentioned compensation for the days of PTO that we have taken for the deliveries, I am not holding my breath.... Do everything you can to avoid purchasing at Arhaus. Great design, great quality, awful service!! read more

I have bought a ton of furniture at Arhaus and have to admit that the furniture seems to get damaged or ruined easily. I have had my dining room table replaced 2-3 times due to easy scratching/gauging...frankly just gave up on it. I love the design of this furniture, but the quality and customer service should match the price, which is very high end. I bought 2 slipcover rocker swivel chairs and the sales person sold how I could get them recovered at a fraction of the cost if I wanted to change the fabric. The fabric ripped and has huge holes in it and when pricing new slipcovers, the pricing is the same cost as the chairs...+$2500 for 2, which is insane. I have discussed with 2 salespeople and they simple shrug and say "oh well." Disappointing for how much money I have spent at this store. read more
