Pretentious, undependable, uncomfortable. 3 years ago I ordered a couch from Arhaus. It was promised in 3 weeks. It took 9 weeks to deliver. The cushions were not as tight as the floor sample and we never got satisfaction. I kept hoping that I'd get used to it or it would wear to be comfortable but it never did. If you have money, they have about anything that you might want. Went in to buy bar stools and the lady quickly approached us, helped out and even brought an "on sale" backless bar stood with a leather seat. Although it was $199 on sale (and I wanted two), it was super comfy and good looking. Did I buy them? Nope. They had one floor model and my two that I wanted would take 4-5 WEEKS to come in. Thanks, but I was in a buying mood. wandered in while searching for chairs to go with a new table we just bought. I knew the store was expensive and was not expecting to find what I was looking for in our price range, but I did not expect the saleswoman to actually say "you thought you We're going to find chairs for under $200 each??!" Rude and condescending to those of us who don't have thousands to drop on furniture. To make it more offensive, I am clearly about a million months pregnant, and it should be obvious that I'm about to have lots of new expenses, and perhaps chairs are not more important than feeding my child. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ARHAUS. December of 2018 I wrote a great review. What a mistake that was. Since that time my furniture has started to come apart. The beautiful fabric bed frame is coming apart at the seams. My dining room chairs have a matching mysterious stain appearing and my bar stools are fraying. I have been attempting, most unsuccessfully, to get Arhaus to honor their '"Concierge Service" and fix everything. I filed a claim in August 2020, this is February 2021 and still no resolution. They do not call back. When you wait, a long time, on hold and do get someone they tell you they'll check on it and you never heard anything again. These people lied about their warranty, but charged for it nonetheless. This is a company that has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MAKES CHEAP FURNITURE THAT ISN'T CHEAP TO BUY. Stay away at any cost. I've worked with a few designers in the past several years, but Cindy has been a tremendous help. She listens, has a great grasp on what her customers want, and is willing to sit down and discuss any detail of the plan to make sure that everyone agrees on the design. The store staff has been great in setting up payments and deliveries, and the delivery team was extremely polite and professional. And the best part?! They were on time... I wasn't given a 4-6 hour delivery window by the dispatch team, only to have the driver show up ahead or behind schedule with only 5 minutes warning... yeah - you know what I'm talking about. I was given a 2-hr window, and the driver showed up in the window and called to verify well before. I got a sneak peek last night of Arhaus before it opened to the public today. The store is huge and offers so many amazing pieces. I love that each area is set up to give the shopper an idea of what it would look like to have the items in their home. Fresh flowers, which are available for purchase, top many of the tables and give the store a homey feel. The employees were all so sweet and I look forward to seeing the fall collection when it comes out in the summer! read more

Went in to store to shop for club chairs for living room. Found floor model that was discounted and "final sale". Sales person highly encouraged us to buy a matching chair and there were 3 in the warehouse when we bought the floor model and took it home. By the time we got home and placed in our living room we called the sales person and there was only 1 left in the warehouse (30 minutes after we left the store). Again highly encouraged to buy a matching chair by the sales person. We purchased the second chair and it was delivered about a week later. The rocking mechanism on the chair from the warehouse was not centered and the height of the chair was not the same. We ordered an exchange of the delivered chair and that second chair also does not match the floor sample. We notified the sales manager and told that "hand made" furniture per their terms and conditions can be off as much as 2 inches. Keeping the chairs because of the hassle to change out chairs once again. Not happy with this purchase as the chairs don't match. Spent A LOT of money on chairs that I am not 100% happy about. read more

Our family has purchased furniture from Arhaus over the years in the Northern Virginia area and we have always been very impressed by the quality, variety and service received. After moving to Charleston and building a new home, we knew we would find what we needed at their Mount Pleasant location. We had the pleasure of working with Tracy who immediately captured our style and the look we were going for. We had several rooms to furnish and she was so patient with us as we were deciding on fabrics, prioritizing what we needed to order first, suggesting what we could order later - Tracy really went above and beyond. In addition to that she's very talented, has a great designer's eye and just made the entire process fun. If you are in the market for new furniture, I highly recommend working with her! BEWARE: If you order from Arhaus Mount Pleasant you may not get what you order! I wish I could give Arhaus Mount Pleasant a positive review because their furniture is beautiful. Unfortunately, as far as customer service goes, you don't get what you pay for. My husband and I purchased a sectional couch and two nightstands at the Mount Pleasant store in May. We purchased a floor model nightstand for $299. Since there was only one floor model available, we purchased the same matching nightstand for delivery for $749 (excludes delivery fee) so that we could have two for our master bedroom. When the nightstand was delivered last week, we realized it was the wrong one. The floor model nightstand had one drawer and the delivered nightstand had two - so they were completely different models and did not match 1) as we were told they would and 2) as we desired. Upon calling Arhaus Mount Pleasant, they said that the one drawer nightstand (the one we wanted) was discontinued. We would not have purchased these nightstands if we knew they would not match. They said that they could offer us the two drawer nightstand for a discount of $699 and would waive the delivery fee if we brought the one drawer nightstand from our house and picked up the new nightstand. Barely accommodating. I'm not sure why Arhaus Mount Pleasant thinks they are cutting us a deal when this entire situation is due to their error. Their "customer service" was asking us to spend $400 more so we could have matching nightstands AND asking us to spend time and effort to retrieve the matching one. Arhaus Mount Pleasant could have had two very happy, loyal customers if they: 1) Ordered the correct item for us, or at least told us that they could not order us the matching nightstand online. I'm not sure what the reason for their error was, but it was their fault. 2) Offered to replace the one drawer nightstand with the two drawer nightstand at no cost to us. I would have gladly returned the two drawer nightstand to them in exchange for the correct one drawer nightstand, but it's not our fault that the one drawer nightstand is discontinued. It took TWELVE weeks for this furniture to be delivered to us (because we ordered a custom couch). If the nightstand was delivered sooner maybe we could have received the right one. 3) Offered to deliver us a nightstand for free. The nightstand is on the 3rd floor of our house. My husband is frequently traveling for work and I had to ask two friends to help me pick up our floor model nightstand and bring it to our house. That's fine because I knew I had to pick up the nightstand when we purchased a floor model. But asking me to bring the nightstand from my home back to the store and pick up another nightstand as if they are doing me a favor is extremely unreasonable and requires a lot of effort on my part. Not what I paid for. The couch we purchased is beautiful and we love the fabric, which is why I am giving them 2 stars. Unfortunately at this price point I expect a level of customer service that Arhaus Mount Pleasant was unable to provide so I will not be returning. I expect this from a build-it-yourself furniture store, but not Arhaus Mount Pleasant. We are furnishing our first home - a 3 bedroom house - so we have a lot of furniture to buy. There are a lot of furniture stores in the Charleston area and I will happily spend my money elsewhere so I can receive exactly what I order. read more

Arhaus is rad! It is certainly more traditional than I prefer. However, I popped in one day to check it out. I was very impressed with the quality of the products, and while I would not style everything in such a frilly manner, there were certainly items to pull from for those who have different taste.
