As soon as my husband and I arrived we were pleasantly welcomed by Zabdi, one of the designers. She was extremely patient and understanding (as we had our 2 kids in tow) and spent time with us to help with our best choices for a new dining room set. She was informative, efficient and incredibly helpful. It's only been a few weeks and I've already contacted to schedule our delivery. This was exceptional from beginning to end, and I will highly recommend them! I must say that I also had to pop into their store in Chestnut Hill, and the designer there was also equally wonderful even though I told her I was already working with someone from another store.

Bassett Furniture - Wrong layout. JoAnne calls it under-arrest design (up against the wall). And, um, Espresso? No, no, no!

They are so knowledgeable and just as importantly, willing to help. Other WE stores I have not gotten the same attitude or expertise. Then after buying our Andres extra long couch we decided we do indeed need the ottoman as well. Unfortunately the fabric and the legs were no longer available online. We took our problem to many WE stores and the associates were confused, they didn't have a solution for us and we couldn't buy the floor model that was our exact ottoman needed. We came tot his store in Burlington and the sale associate has no idea what the problem was and got us the exact ottoman in the exact fabric and leg finish we needed!! (Worn mental velvet and black and brass) its insanity bc we went to two other stores and the associate and managers were perplex how to get what we wanted. We came here and we took that ottoman in a box HOME, same day! Thanks so much for your help associate #378071!! And Craig who worked in back and helped find a way to squeeeeeeze the box into the car while our baby slept! Great store, great team!

RETURN OF THE WALNUT PANCAKE…read more A couple of weeks ago, I bought a beautiful walnut dining table from Joss & Main. There was only one problem: it was enormous. I had somehow convinced myself that a 54-inch round table was exactly what I needed for mahjong. It wasn't. My friends were practically launching tiles across the table because nobody could reach the middle. By the end of our first game, one of my friends was actually uncomfortable from reaching. My gorgeous new table had become what I affectionately started calling the walnut pancake. It was beautiful, but it simply wasn't going to work. So I called Joss & Main, and eventually I reached Adele in the Specialized Supervisor department. That's where the story changed. Adele didn't just listen--she took ownership. She helped arrange the return and found a smaller, more rustic table that actually fits both the room and the ski-lodge feeling I've created in my home. She understood what I was trying to accomplish, and suddenly the conversation wasn't simply about returning furniture. It was about finding the right solution. Later, when the logistics became complicated, I connected with Tiffany, the Executive Manager on Wayfair's Executive Service team. We had a fascinating conversation about leadership, culture, customer experience, and what I call the last 50 yards--that critical point where everything a company has promised finally has to come together for the customer. Tiffany listened, engaged honestly, and stayed with the problem until it was resolved. And then came Marco and Nelson. "We're the Rebel Team," they told me when they arrived to pick up the table. I don't know whether they gave themselves that name or someone else did, but I loved it. They were charming, funny and kind. They played with my dog, chatted with me, found the tools they needed, carefully took apart my pristine walnut pancake, and made the final moments of the experience genuinely enjoyable. They reminded me of something I've believed throughout my career: everyone who touches the customer owns a piece of the brand. Sometimes the last people a customer sees leave the most lasting impression. Great companies aren't made great because nothing ever goes wrong. Things go wrong in every organization. What matters is what happens next. Wayfair and Joss & Main have some terrific people, and over the course of this experience I met several of them. Adele, Tiffany, Marco and Nelson each played a different role, but each demonstrated something worth recognizing: ownership, kindness, follow-through, and a desire to get to the right outcome. Those are the behaviors strong cultures identify, celebrate and reinforce. The last 50 yards matter--and when they're filled with people who care about getting the customer across the finish line, they can change the entire story.

It's nice to walk around and see things on display so you can visually picture it in your own home,…read moreetc. before having to commit to buying something online. I couldn't help but notice how beige, white, brown, or black everything was. Literally 0 pops of color. There was 1 green velvet material swivel chair, but other than that, all the couches, pillows, decor pieces, everything were so plain that the whole store was missing personality. I do appreciate the massive floor to ceiling windows so the natural light coming in was phenomenal and really added a nice ambiance to everything as you walk around. The staff was also very kind.

I currently live in New York City, but I knew I wanted to go with a New England based business since Maine is home for me. I know there are a lot of New England based furniture shops to choose from, but Bostonwood seemed to offer the best value. The sales and delivery staff were all helpful, professional, and friendly. They even finished and delivered my order a little sooner than quoted. The desk is particularly beautiful and feels sturdy and well-built. The unfinished bookcase is just what I was expecting, and is a huge step up from the discount ones I used to buy back in grad school. I'll certainly return to Bostonwood in the future to replace the rest of my silly grad-school-budget particle board furniture!!

I had seen something online hoping maybe the store had it but they did not. I don't say this lightly - I've had one of the absolute worst customer experiences of my life…read moredealing with MG+BW. Back at the end of summer last year (~August 2020) I placed an order with an associate at the Burlington location using a gift card that wouldn't go through online. She assured me that the order for a console table and several decorative boxes would go through simply and I would be contacted for shipping and delivery options. Months went by. MONTHS. During which time I called and emailed multiple times and showed up to the store on several different occasions. During a global pandemic, I might add. I was finally able to get the original associate to find the order (which she had forgotten to place several times and only put through after my fourth call) and see that the console table I had wanted wasn't actually available anymore (when I would have found out this information without going into the store one can only guess at). She found a 'replacement' and said that we would be all set... Fast forward to December 28th. Still nothing; neither package, nor call, nor email letting me know where my order was even after more phone calls to the store. At this point the manager of the store was sick of hearing my voice at the end of the call, which was fun for me as a customer. On December 28th I reached out to corporate customer service to explain how poor of an experience I had and see if I could get any help. I could go into far more detail here but anyone reading this gets the point - it's April 8th now and I STILL do not have my console table. The customer service person was able to get me the decorative boxes fairly quickly... and then that was followed by even more errors, miscommunications and a clear disregard for my 'small' order (of over $1,000, I might add). Word to the wise here; their prices are not worth the hassle nor the outcome. Once I get my furniture delivered (if ever) I will never be dealing with Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams again.
