The Groupon entitled us to two private lessons, unlimited group lessons (during the week(s) of your private lessons) and two dance parties. We met with our dance instructor, Andrea, for our two private lessons and we both had a ball!!! She is amazing. Funny and sassy... she made it so much fun for us!! Sadly, we haven't been able to make the group lessons or dance parties because we live quite a distance away and my husband's work hours are insane. We would very much like to continue our lessons, but the cost of the private lessons is a little more than we can afford at the moment. I imagine the group lessons may be a bit more affordable so we're going to look into that! Ask for Andrea (pronounced Andre-a), she's a delight!!!

I could always tell that the classes were jam packed, and I would always hear the music playing at the nail salon, so one day I was curious enough to walk over to the studio to learn more about the classes, and I am so glad that I did! I have been in love with the classes ever since! The first time I participated in a class, it was not as difficult as I assumed. I remembered back then, both Alisa and Mallory were so very nice, and professional, I loved taking both of their classes. I also remember taking Ria's class for the first time, and she was such a fiery ball of energy, I loved it! I'm not as consistent as I used to be with attending classes, but there are a majority of classes to participate in. And what I really appreciate and like is that the daily schedule is flexible, and some days the last class offered is at 8:00 p.m., which is very convenient for me. B/c I can get off of work, run errands, prepare dinner, and have time to still exercise in the late evening. I know there is a Mixxed-Fit class that is offered, Zumba, there is a Zumba-Gold class, and several other classes. There are also classes that are offered for children. Again, I can't say enough positives about the studio. The staff are very professional and always so pleasant, the classes are accommodating and there are several classes offered, plus different times accommodate every schedule, and the pricing of the classes are very reasonable. Individuals can pay per class, or purchase passes for different amounts. Studio Z Fitness is worth trying out if close in the Sterling Heights area!

The competition program at this studio is a complete joke. Favoritism is insane. Certain competition dancers are given special treatment (7+ extra routines, solos, all the attention in class), while other competition dancers are straight up ignored and denied routines that they are completely qualified for. It doesn't matter how good you are, if the owner doesn't like your dancer, you get the crap routines (Pom pom). The owner will completely ignore your emails and questions and, if she even bothers to respond at all, it'll be whatever bullcrap she wants to tell you. Also, the owners are NEVER at this location. They are always at their other location, the main studio in Sterling Heights. As such, the teachers run the place and do what they want. The woman who teaches the competition jazz and lyrical classes is a complete egotistical asshole. I wouldn't talk to a dog the way she talks to these kids. She will dumb dances down if there's a combination that her favorite dancers cannot do; it doesn't matter that others can do the combo, it'll get taken out if her lil favorites can't do it. Don't waste your time or money here.
