The Juliart instructors are incredibly talented, knowledgeable, and committed to the dancer's development, pushing them to reach their full potential while in a supportive and fun environment. Super cute programs for little ones and then as they get older there is an opportunity to audition to be on a competitive team. The choreography is fresh, innovative, and challenging, ensuring that they are always learning and evolving as dancers. The dancers also learn about teamwork, time management, public performance and discipline. These skills show both in and out of the studio.

Juliart is a mediocre dance studio, but they lack any rigorous tap program. Like Gotta Dance (a…read morelocal competitor), they are more focused on entering their dancers in competitions than on teaching them to enjoy dance or improving their technique in any significant way. For instance, they offer beginning and intermediate classes, but they have no option to take advanced classes without participating on a competition team. (And training for competitions often does not translate to teaching best practices in technique.) Furthermore, since tap is not found in most competitions, they honestly do not have any tap classes that are challenging for kids ages 8 and above. We will be switching to another studio on Cole Street in Birmingham that focuses more on proper dancing and less on competitions.

With that being said, I was terrified my dancing skills wouldn't be up to par! No worries, Jordan and her instructors do an amazing job of teaching classes in a completely stress free environment. I took beginner Jazz, thinking I'd be to actual jazz music, but I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't! Overall loved this place, hope to be back soon :) thanks Jordan Mac and team for making dancing fun!

I'm not someone who typically writes reviews, although when a person or business exceeds my expectations, I feel compelled to make sure that they are recognized. As a business owner who understands the serious nature of reviews in a competitive industry and in an environment of Fake news, I am pleased to say Jordan Mac Studios is the real deal. Check out their work at nationwideinterlock.com and you will see why I wrote this review. This company is led by Jordan Mac who is involved in all aspects of the creative process. She has assembled a team of talented , stylistic, hard working professionals who understand the trends as well as internet optimization. I have recommended her to my colleagues who have experienced the same standard of care and professionalism. I want to thank Jordan Mac and her team for making the process easy. I continue to use them for ongoing support , web hosting , and ongoing marketing, I will see them at my Photo Shoot in a few weeks!

Only good if you have money and have been there a long time…read more.. the place is firstly, expensive. Tuition for SELECT is 200+ a MONTH!!! For two days a week! All of the costumes- 100 each, makeup and hair- 100, shoes- 200!!! The Fusion dance camp costs are well into 1000 for one week, and are MANDATORY for those competing!! We haven't even gotten to fees! For those unfamiliar, it is a family studio, everyone has know everyone forever! As someone new, I felt embarrassed and out of place completely! The people talk behind your back and even had issues where people had to step in..... The place is LOUD and unless you went in person to the place, the schedules online are super confusing!!! The teachers placed top priority on the students THEY liked, aka, who's there longest and who dances the best. I barely improved and learned being there for a year, I learned more watching YouTube videos and had better flexibility stretching on my own. Classes are slow and teachers talk super quietly in class yet scream when they are outside! It is a beautiful studio and a wonderful place, but the people! AGHHHH! I was stuck in the back to walk and pose for my jazz, tap, lyrical and hip hop numbers. The only place I felt truly challenged was Mr.Kevins ballet and Mr.Pauls Acro classes. And don't think your getting all the best choreography. Maddie Ziegler at 8 years old could perform the teen girls (14/15) jazz, over pass the lyrical and tap, EASILY. Those top choreographers? Yeah, only the top get them. The 17 year olds who are the most advanced and have been there the longest or the families that pay the most! I would have gone anywhere else or started earlier or just take tech, ballet and Acro. Watch out!

Such an amazing studio! It's worth the drive. The teachers are so great....my daughter has been…read morecoming here since she was 5, and just LOVES it. The Groupon entitled us to two private lessons, unlimited group lessons (during the week(s) of your private lessons) and two dance parties. We met with our dance instructor, Andrea, for our two private lessons and we both had a ball!!! She is amazing. Funny and sassy... she made it so much fun for us!! Sadly, we haven't been able to make the group lessons or dance parties because we live quite a distance away and my husband's work hours are insane. We would very much like to continue our lessons, but the cost of the private lessons is a little more than we can afford at the moment. I imagine the group lessons may be a bit more affordable so we're going to look into that! Ask for Andrea (pronounced Andre-a), she's a delight!!!

Note it took more than 6 months for this sack of horror studio to get enough reviews into their "positive" filter. Art Murray treated my wife and I horribly in our interview. They tried to coerce us into taking lessons for more than we wanted. They guilt tripped us when their overbearing dance expert couldn't come to grips with the fact that she had pathetic sales ability. Go ahead & ask these (sarcasm) pro's to teach you things. Just don't expect them to care if you actually know what you want. They will tell you what you want & will pay for. FYI - YouTube instructional videos ar way more pleasant than this company's staff.

I'm honestly pretty upset with how Lifetime as a brand has changed. Customer service? Gone. The feeling of inclusivity? Gone. It's like they no longer care about their members. I get that they're saving some money by not being open 24/7, but it's still a huge letdown. We've tried the Canton location multiple times, but there's always something broken or out of order. So we went to the Troy location, only to find that our family membership doesn't work here--only Novi and Canton. After upgrading, my son, who loves basketball, was disappointed to see that half the courts are now taken over by pickleball. Now they're even getting rid of basketball courts altogether. When I asked, I was told that "basketball doesn't make us money." Isn't that why we're paying $275 a month for a family membership? Today, after upgrading, we got kicked off the basketball court within an hour because of some family event. Apparently, they have arts and crafts tables in the gym on Saturdays. We were told we could come back after 8pm, but why did we drive 55 minutes from Ann Arbor for that? There's other space they could've used, but I'm guessing that's being rented out for more money, while the members are pushed aside for things like pickleball. Honestly, the Las Vegas locations are great, but the Michigan ones are a mess. I've been harassed since day one at Canton. It's frustrating because, just like 24-Hour Fitness, Lifetime is drifting away from what made it great--caring about the members. Eventually, I think they'll learn, especially when they start closing down locations, just like 24-Hour did. I just hope they realize that the people--the members--are what keeps their revenue flowing. Plus spend some money on this club first, everything is old and falling apart..... Maybe one day, pickleball will fade out like racquetball did. But until then, here's an idea: Troy could convert those racquetball courts into basketball courts. That would actually make sense!
