It went off literally without a hitch thanks to their hard work and attention to detail. They knew exactly what our plan was and worked continuously in the background to make sure that everything that needed to get done, got done. And Sheavonne has a great, relaxing demeanor that we greatly appreciated. She never put any additional stress on us, and we were able to spend our time and energy on enjoying our special day, which is exactly what we wanted. We absolutely could not have pulled our day off without her. Plus, in addition to her work on the day of, Sheavonne was available to us ahead of time and worked with each of our vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure that everything was taken care of.

Aretha truly listened and made sure every detail we hoped for was respected and seamlessly incorporated into the ceremony. Her guidance throughout the process was clear, calm, and always reassuring. Aretha made herself available for any questions or concerns, and her professionalism and warmth never wavered. On the day of our wedding, she executed everything flawlessly, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every moment. Our guests could not stop raving about how beautifully Aretha led the ceremony. She told our story with such heart and authenticity--it felt personal, intentional, and unforgettable. Aretha was the best choice we could have made for an officiant. The two of us have been to many…read moreweddings and have witnessed some not so great ceremonies so finding an incredible officiant was very important to us and that is exactly what we did! From our introduction call she was nothing but professional, polite, informative and overall just a very down to earth person. After our initial call, we both felt that she was the perfect match for us. There were a lot of aspects around the planning of the ceremony that we were unsure of and Aretha took her time informing us of what is traditionally done versus what we could do to match our own style. Unlike other officitants, Aretha is very involved in the planning process, ensuring that we fill out questionnaires to ensure that every part of our ceremony was personalized. She took our story and told them in her own unique way. We loved that she emphasized the importance of a rehearsal which ultimately led us to booking her for that as well which we did not regret. Our bridal party absolutely loved how comfortable she made everyone feel (even when dealing with a not so nice venue staff). When we thought we had everything down packed, she made us run through everything one more time just to ensure we looked flawless. My father was extremely nervous but after the rehearsal he was confident in his role and it showed the day of the wedding. During the ceremony, she was so well spoken and told our love story perfectly. Our guests were laughing and crying tears of joy. We got so many compliments on how great Aretha was -everyone wanted to know, "How did you two find her??". I will not be surprised if we go to a friend's wedding and see Aretha walk down that aisle. Thank you so much Aretha! -Mr. and Mrs. Jean Simon

She is professional, funny and makes you feel like everything you say is important. She gave really good suggestions and anytime we needed assistance getting a contact or appointment, it was just done. Everyone knows her, she has tons of experience, she has a great disposition and is highly organized. She is literally the best, and then on our wedding day, everything went so smooth. Her crew was so nice, I never saw them until the very end, they were like secret ninjas. And best of all, she held our cake topper for a year (yes this review is a bit old)....A YEAR, didn't hound us to come get it, it just sat in their very nice and large freezer. She is the best, if I had another event to plan I wouldn't even think about it I would just go to her again. Side note: she has adorable dogs and pink monkey cookies for you to eat.

When I got engaged last July, the first thing I did was start looking for wedding planners. I…read moreactually work in the wedding industry so I knew that working with me wasn't going to be easy. On one hand, after being surrounded by brides/weddings for the past 7 years, I was almost "weddinged-out" and wanted to basically hand my wedding planning over to someone else to deal with. On the other hand, I knew that the kind of wedding I wanted wasn't going to be easy to plan and that I had some fairly specific ideas about what I wanted. I made a few appointments with established wedding planners I had worked with in the past and for good measure, googled and read reviews to make appointments with a few newcomers. After an exhausting day of being interviewed about my wedding and receiving totally extravagant and ridiculous quotes, I met Michelle. Walking into her townhouse/office was so calming and I immediately felt better. She had comfy couches and an array of snacks and drinks out on the table (which seems like a small thing but after meetings with planners who just sat me down at a desk in their office and were on their laptop the whole time, it was nice to feel like someone prepared for me). There was a slideshow of ideas going on the big screen on the wall that had been prepared just for our wedding based on what I told her when we talked on the phone the day before. We chatted for about an hour. She was incredibly friendly and warm and I felt like she would be on top of the details without being pushy. As compared to some other planners who charge a percentage of what you are spending on your wedding AND limit you as to the amount of e-mails etc, you can send them, Michelle was a breath of fresh air. Her package was basically all-inclusive and was a flat rate, not based on how much we were spending. I signed up the next day. During the planning process, Michelle and her team were amazing. Not annoying, not pushy, very laid back and took care of a lot of details behind the scenes without me having to deal with them. I could not have asked for a more fun planning process and I was able to enjoy every minute without being bogged down by details. Michelle screened every vendor and presented us with the top choices in every category that fit into our budget and style. She made all the appointments and dealt with all the contracts and negotiations. She was so good a picking vendors that I booked the first vendor in every category without needing to see more. On the day of our wedding, Michelle was truly a gift. I knew (from talking to people afterwards) that there were things Michelle dealt with and catastrophies she was able to avoid without me knowing anything. I partied, ate, and enjoyed my day without having to deal with ANYTHING. She basically ran the entire day. My fiance and I agree she was worth every penny and so much more. She seemed to be everywhere at once - managing the flow of the day, dealing with guest questions, wrangling vendors and setting up photo shots. One second she's cueing the 2nd course and the next minute she's on the floor buckling someone's shoe before a picture - no joke. One of my bridesmaids complained off-handidly about her feet hurting and Michelle produced a pair of silver flats she had a bunch of just in case. We had a perfect wedding day and enjoyed every bit of it and 100% of the credit goes to her.

Not only did they deliver, but EXCEEDED my request. My friends and family were not only amazed, but after the wedding and to this day, people are STILL TALKING about how fun and incredible the wedding was!! Her team handled our wedding like clockwork. They worked like secret service and everyone on her team was aware of EVERYTHING that was going on. There was constant communication amongst each other so my wife and I could just sit back and enjoy the day. They also recently handled my parents' 50th anniversary. Yasemin and her team worked with my parents and got them everything they asked for. I've put together many events professionally and began the wedding process thinking I'd be able to handle most things myself or hire a friend to help day of. But, as we got deeper into planning, we quickly realized having a month of coordinator was absolutely necessary for a stress-free day. In the months leading up to the wedding, I occasionally peppered Elise with questions, and she always answered quickly and helpfully. We began our meetings together a little over a month out from the big day, and from the start Elise was warm, organized, thoughtful, and professional. She was always two steps ahead of me and anticipated things I never had, even as an extremely Type A bride. Having Elise working behind the scenes made the day such a breeze for me and my husband. We had a detailed and well-planned timeline to go by, and didn't have to worry about the minutiae that can take away from being able to enjoy the day. My husband and I wanted to be entirely present for our wedding, and as natural hosts, it was so nice to not have to worry about all the little details for once. If anything went wrong, we didn't know about it. Our day was that smooth, thanks to Elise. I honestly don't know how we would have done it without her, she was amazing at helping us organize family, friends, vendors, timing, music, etc. etc. It was very clear that she'd listened to the type of ceremony and reception we wanted and she made excellent suggestions along the way to make sure everything was ready to go for the big day. On the day she was a wonderful calming influence and just let us (and our families!) enjoy ourselves. She had everything planned down to the minute (and alerted the relevant parties ahead of time) so that she could cue everything up as it happened, seamlessly. At one point my Mum managed to spilt an entire glass of Champagne on my Dad's speech right before we was due to stand up. Though it was pretty funny in hindsight it made him nervous in the moment but without causing any alarm Elise jumped in to help salvaged the speech and gave him her clipboard to make it easier to read. She even noticed that my wife's Grandparents weren't great on their feet so when it came time for the buffet she already had plates prepared for them. It was a pleasure and we were so glad that it meant we were able to just enjoy each other and all of our guests instead of worrying about the event. More than worth it.
