This is the first time I have reviewed anything online. My experience at PT Plus Elm Grove deserves…read morerecognition. I have a chronic hip and lower back problem that I have been dealing with for years. I have tried both professional and self care previously. Both helped some, but little had changed. Family members who have had great success with PT Plus Elm Grove recommended I try them for my challenges. I did. I am very happy that I did. Before my first secession with Ed, my therapist, I had developed a mental image of what was causing my pain/challenges, and how to address them. These understandings were based on professional opinions and help that I received from medIcal doctors, research, etc. These were helpful, but eventually stalled in their helpfulness. Ed, my therapist, attentively listened to my description, and designed a course of action. What he identified as needing to be addressed were things that no previous professional that I had seen considered. As the saying goes: "Everything is connected". And it is. I have had 8 secessions with Ed thus far. each secession has been different. Each secession has addressed the next interconnected link necessary in my healing. All of the sessions have produced healthy/positive results beyond my best expectations. So, I Highly Recommend PT Plus Elm Grove. On a personal level, the personnel are also pretty great. Ed has been extremely good. Additionally, he is professional, focused, friendly, and caring. The folks at the desk and on the phone are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I find this very refreshing; many businesses have lost their "people-skills", " genuine-caring" approach when interacting with people. I am happy to say that PT Plus Elm Grove still offers these valuable traits to those whom they interact with. Anyway, for the reasons above, I Highly Recommend PT Plus Elm Grove. Thank you.

I was referred to PT Plus for treatment of a frozen shoulder. Catrina was my therapist and I…read morecouldn't have asked for a better physical therapist! From the beginning, she was compassionate, knowledgeable, and always willing to think outside the box to find treatments and exercises that would help me feel better and continue making progress. She took the time to listen, adjust my treatment based on how I was doing, and encouraged me every step of the way. Thanks to her care, I regained so much mobility and function in my shoulder and felt confident throughout the recovery process. I love the 1-on-1 time and not having to "share" as I had experienced in other places. The only chin scratcher for me didn't actually come from my PT Catrina, but from the owner who popped in (even though the door was closed--sometimes I need to lift my shirt to access certain spots on my back) with a student who was shadowing. I got no heads up, and I wasn't asked if it was ok that she observer my session. I would have happily said yes, but I was more concerned that I wasn't even asked. Unfortunately, my insurance changed, and I was no longer able to continue therapy with her, which genuinely made me sad because I felt I was in such good hands. I highly recommend Catrina to anyone looking for a physical therapist who truly cares about her patients and is committed to helping them succeed.

I am still not sure how I was lucky enough to find Dr. Koch, as he is the one that takes pain and…read moremakes it disappear. Having had a C5-C6 fusion done many years ago, I had tried so many things to help the pain that I endure daily due to other bulging discs and possible bone spurs. I read up on his methods, as I am not able to have a "regular" chiropractor work on me as it would prove more harmful than good. The activator technique was something I had never heard of before my first appointment, and I was weary at first. After my first appointment, I knew I had found- forgive me if it comes across as super dramatic- the needle in the haystack I had been searching for for years. A pleasant surprise- insurance is accepted. However, I originally found the office on Groupon, and paid $50. for three sessions. Not bad... Another pleasant surprise- Dr. Koch is the kind of Doctor that puts you at ease and actually listens to what it is that is bothering you. And then, on top of that, he takes that info and uses the activator technique on places that I would not have thought would be tied to the places in which the pain is the worst. I am so grateful to have found such a caring, knowledgeable and all around great chiropractor. If you are young or old or in between- he can help you. The office is comfortable, clean and quiet. Perhaps not the most important, yet for me- it makes things very simple- Dr. Koch encourages texting for appointments and he is quick to respond and just as quick to find you an appointment. So he's the one to see. Really. I have tried a lot of different ways to help with my neck, back and shoulder pain- and while I am not against incorporating other avenues (acupuncture, yoga, learning what exercise is... ) I will always keep Dr. Koch as my main source of healing.

Dr. Mark uses the gentle activator technique to ease my chronic tense shoulders and back- no bone-cracking here. If the old-school manual manipulations scare the crap out of you, I recommend making an appointment with Dr. Mark. His fees are totally reasonable, he accepts insurance, and he is SUCH a chill, nice guy!
