I didn't want to write this review but I had a concern about something about the menu. I ordered the tequenos de pollo as an appetizer and the menu didn't say anything about it having cheese in which was perfect. I got the order and it in fact had cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and really sensitive to dairy so I asked about the cheese being in it. He confirmed it was in there, so I asked if they can just take it back- the waiter said no. I then asked if they can just take it off the bill because I couldn't eat it. He said no to that too. My husband doesn't eat meat and my son is lactose intolerant so it was going to be food wasted and money down the drain. I was pretty shocked because I've never been to a restaurant where they can't reasonable accommodate the guest. I then ordered my entree and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I was not satisfied but I knew they wouldn't let me swap it for something else. Unfortunately I'm not going to rush to come back. The waiter was friendly enough but not accommodating. I get nervous when it comes to food allergies because now I know that some restaurants aren't disclosing food allergens which is actually not allowed. There are folks out here with life threatening allergies, so these places need to be careful. I'm glad I'm not one of those people but it's still disappointing.

The staff was so friendly and attentive the whole time. Gave recommendations and helped us pick out items. The good was AMAZING!! We got two coffees and two meals. The portions are so generous and filling. I felt right at home! I will definitely be coming back! I definitely recommend you check this out. Super cute, small, cozy and just overall great!! Second, the food was insane. Given the reasonable prices we expected the dishes to be small, but they were substantial. I got the Warao pizza (added balsamic) with a kinder milkshake, my husband got the pastrami sandwich with a vanilla milkshake, our daughter got a cheese pizza and strawberry milkshake, and we got a pastellito to try. My husband had to help me with my pizza and we couldn't even try the pastellito because we were stuffed (having it for my snack tonight). And everything tasted amazing - I loved the combination of the Warao, and kinder milkshake with Nutella and kinder pieces, need I say more? And husband eats a looot of pastrami sandwiches and he was impressed with theirs. Third, we loved the vibe. It was a casual place with a modern aesthetic. 10/10 would come back again.

That was not a good feeling, but then he also did not speak English well. He messed up three of the four items we ordered and of course they all cost more than what we ordered. When we got the bill and told him, he got the cook and we were able to settle everything out easily. We were told that the owner's wife was out so he was serving. We were happy to hear that his serving was temporary :). I am not sure if we received the lunch item or dinner item because our bill was wrong, but I ordered the chile verde chimichanga which comes with rice and beans. It was hot and fresh and absolutely delicious! My partner had the bean and cheese lunch and he loved it as well. The salsa was flavorful and mild. All of the food was mild so next time I will ask for some spice! The restaurant is a good size and festive looking. It was clean and comfortable and the prices were good! We can't wait to go back!

Ordered half chicken which husband enjoyed but the rest was thrown out. 4 chicken flautas that were so burnt the meat looked like burnt steak. The chips they added for free were dark brown, the jalapeño poppers over cooked and dark brown was also missing any ranch for dipping. Lastly, we ordered 2 carne asada tacos and the meat was also burnt black and dark brown bits, no lime served on the side for these. After leaving a 25% tip online we'd hoped to have an enjoyable meal but we were disappointed. Also surprised at whoever packaged the food, letting it be served in that condition was concerning. We'll try elsewhere next time we are in the mood for good Mexican food.

The salad was ok as well, but I didn't like all of the cheese on top and the dressing was freshly made. I like melted cheese and for it to be melted, it needs to be hot. I could have had a little less on my salad because I was eating it for the veggies. I got an arepa - the pork belly one and it was okay as well. The beans were a touch cold, not an issue, and the avocado was fresh and tasted good. I don't like tomatoes, but the slices were thick and juicy. My husband enjoyed them. My thing is that there was no "WOW" factor with this meal. It was good and did its job (filled me up0, and I was safe (didn't get sick), but it's not the kind of place that I'd make a special trip to see. The place was fine, the people working there were nice, but I don't know if a return visit is warranted.

They recommended the pork belly arepa ($17) but I am no longer enjoying the fatty and crisp textures of pork belly, so I asked the lady who'd confidently ordered just before me for her recommendation. "Get the cheese cachapa, it's delicious and filling," she said. So I did, but I got one with shredded beef instead of cheese-only ($15). My cachapa - a Venezuelan sweet corn pancake filled with melted cheese - took about 10 mins to prepare, and it was thick and huuuuge! I changed my mind about eating it al fresco at one of the tables near the food truck, and took it back to the office instead. Back at the office, I ate the cachapa slowly, with the plastic fork and knife they'd thoughtfully provided. There wasn't much beef in it, and it was crisp, sweet and verrrrry filling. I made myself some coffee to sidestep the food coma that was sure to follow, and got back to work! Will return to try other items when they're back.

The heat lamps were on in the enclosed area out front and they have cushions for the wrought iron chains and a shelf of blankets for customers to use. Complimentary Chilean bread rolls brought to the table right away with garlic herb butter, salsa verde sauce (chimicuri like) so good, made the old fashioned way with pork fat. Calamari Frito, Cajun seasoning, light and crunchy with a house made tarter sauce (excellent server brought us an additional tarter) Crab stuffed chili Relleno was a creative version of this meal I've eaten dozens of times, feta and a sweet sauce with the rock crab was delicious. Panqueque especial ,chorizo had a little kick but was cooled off by the pineapple and sweetness of the crepe. All baked together with rice, cheese, guac, veggie's on the side, this was a big meal that was packed with a savory mix of flavors,my favorite thing I sampled. Honey shirachi shrimp, jalapeno, bacon, pineapple,on slaw. Big shrimp, big taste in the sauce, excellent appetizer or can be ordered as a full meal. I'll reserve judgment on the vegetarian entre options until we have tried more. First try was a bit bland even with ordering extra hot peppers. The vegetarian taco is a nice option, but it really tastes like a tofu scramble in a tortilla. In other words, it is great that there is a vegetarian taco option. It is unfortunate that it feels like an afterthought.
