Just to be clear, this is a Venezuelan restaurant with a small range of very typical Venezuelan…read moredishes (arepas, etc). I had the pabellon which the internet tells me is Venezuela's national dish. It was a large plate of black beans, ropa vieja-type beef, white rice and fried plantain, and it was excellent. The place attracts mostly Latin Americans it seems. The lady who runs the place was in the back with her partner talking quite loudly the whole time, and talking with a customer who seems to also be a friend and went back in the kitchen at one point. The music was played from her phone and was interrupted each time she took a call or sent a message. Good food but some management/operational challenges! FYI, they are cash-only at the moment.

I appreciated that our friendly host (I wish I got her name) took her time to explain each plate and tell us what was used to make it and where it came from in Peru. She did me an even bigger service by telling me in Spanish, as I do not speak French, and I appreciate that a lot. The food was delicious and I was happy to find that Peruvian cuisine is also making it's way into France. I will definitely recommend this place to others!

We can here due to all the positive reviews and wanted to check it out. We didn't have any…read morereservations but luckily they had an open table. Make sure to get a reservation because the whole restaurant was packed when we got there around 8pm. The place had many Mexican and South American themed decorations. Reminded me of the Hispanic restaurants I've visited when I lived in Florida. They have a nice, relax feel to the place. The servers were also great. They helped us with the menu. The menu had lots of options. Their cocktail menu was set up as deck of cards with description of each drink. Had a couple of their drinks and all of them were good and strong. The dishes we had were the ceviche, the octopus, and duck. All of them were excellent. The ceviche was light with a nice lemony flavor to it and not fishy. The octopus was very tender which I was not expecting. I thought it would be hard and rubbery. And the duck with beans was a very good combination.

Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the back alley pedestrian street behind the Crowne Plaza is this gem. It's a beautiful mojito bar that's wonderfully decorated with an open concept floor plan. The drop-ceiling was a lil' underwhelming, but the artifacts spread around the walls along with the floor-standing art definitely helped out a lot. The music was chill and big chairs were comfortable. Service: Kevin took care of us and he was okay. It could've been the language barrier, but I ain't trippin'. He was busy and running around all over the place so I cut him some slack. Food: I went with this Mexican combination plate. On it was some onion rings, a small salad, a taco, a quesadilla, 2 wings, guacamole and tortilla chips. Every single thing on the plate was very underwhelming. I mean... what did I really expect from a Mexican restaurant in Lyon, France? I don't know, but I certainly wouldn't order that again. My co-worker said he really enjoyed his double-cheeseburger. It was a sampler of a taco, onion rings, chicken wings and small burrito with chips. I never thought nothing could taste good on a sampler dish but I was wrong. In addition the mojito royal was like no mojito I ever tasted. Each of us took sip and hard pass. Mint was on sticks instead of muddled, no sweetness and tasted like old carbonated water. They offered to get us a different dish but all confidence was lost. Still paid and barely touched.
