They use Imperial Synthetic Turf and I effected to use the Belle Aire 50 Turf which has an 18 year residential warranty. It is a darker green turf which will cause the front yard to pop. The project is slatted for March 4, 2019. The owner has responded quickly to every question I have asked him, even on weekends! I have made note additions to the quoted invoice which he has approved. The work entails removing old grass, capping sprinklers, removing 4 inches of soil, bringing in road base and crushed granite, installing weed barrier, setting and securing turf, then anchoring turf with a silica sand. After the project I will provide an update on the quality of work and attach some pictures. Sincerely, Troy M. March 8, 2019 as promised this is everything associated with the project (the grunt work) on March 4 the contractor showed up and began removing the old sod and capping the sprinkler system, note: he was going to remove the sprinklers but because of the spider web of the system that was needed for other parts of the yard I elected to just have them capped. They then began removing a good four to six inches of soil in a 245 sq ft space, which is a lot of material. Site was cleaned after each day of work! March 5, road base was placed and compacted, March 6 crushed granite, weed barrier and artificial turf started to to be laid out and secured using six inch spikes (then the contractor was forth coming about placing artificial grass in wrong) they pulled the grass that they had already placed and recut the pieces they could reuse. March 7th, rain day. March 8, contractor showed up and finished the project which included setting the rest of the grass, blending the seams, whisking the blades up and placing silica sand. It looks AMAZING! The owner Juan is a man of integrity and professionalism, a great communicator, with his full desire to make the project what the customer paid for. Unreliable and Overpriced - Avoid Mariano's Landscape…read more I hired Mariano's Landscape (based in Moreno Valley) in December 2024 to landscape my backyard. From the start, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Their services are expensive, and I expected quality work. Unfortunately, that's not what I received. The owner, Gabriel Mariano, planted diseased trees and assured me they would recover in warmer weather or be replaced. Months later--after numerous phone calls and site visits--nothing has been done. Communication has been all talk, with no follow-through. The concrete patio was another major issue. It was poured with a weak sand-and-cement mix that lacked any gravel or aggregate. I raised concerns, and they promised a quality control inspection would visit the job-site. No one ever came and Gabriel could not provide the name or license number of the concrete subcontractor they used. Bottom line: once they're paid, they disappear. They don't stand behind their work or resolve problems. I do not recommend Mariano's Landscape. The pictures speak for themselves.
