They do not even deserve one star. My husband was admitted to Hillhaven on the 14th of July, 2024…read more One month later, he went into inpatient hospice, largely due to a head injury sustained at Hillhaven, that stopped his cancer treatment and rendered him incapable of giving informed consent. Nobody on the staff informed me of his accident, the details of which are still unclear, and changed a couple of times. My husband called me twice; the second time, while I was getting dressed and ready to go to the home after realizing something was VERY wrong. It was only then that I spoke to a staff member who took the phone from my husband and informed me that he had a fall. When were they going to let me know???? When I got there, I was not allowed to talk to the doctor, who was not on the premises, and they refused to call 911 so that he could receive treatment for his concussion. He was in an altered state, was bandaged on his arm, and had a huge lump on his forehead. In the meantime, remarks were made by the staff about the difficulty of dealing with Alzheimer's patients. My husband DID NOT HAVE ALZHEIMER'S disease. TWO HOURS LATER, they agreed to call 911, and my husband was transported to the hospital of our choice. By this time, I had packed his belongings and was ready to take him to the hospital myself. He spent several days in ICU, then was on the critical care ward. His immunology treatments were suspended due to the nature of his head injury. He probably would have died due to the aggressive nature of his cancer, but he spent the last five weeks of his life incapable of communicating effectively due to the concussion. He passed away in inpatient hospice August 22. I am more than convinced that this accident hastened his demise, and left him incapable of being able to communicate with friends and family in the final weeks of his life. I definitely do not recommend this facility.

The quality of care is very lackluster. A love one has lived at this home for a number of years and…read morenot much has changed in all that time. I will say the place did not reek of urine. The staff to resident ratio is alarming and something the state should look into. I was there for a couple of hours and honestly seen only one nurse(?)/attendant and one person cleaning. The wait to enter the facility is lengthy. No one answers the bell, the residents have to see you at the door and yell to someone that someone is at the door. It's a sad state of affairs the care or lack thereof rendered to our oldest and neediest population. This place is marginally better than some of the others that service this demographic but that's not saying much. This place is better than being on the street, I suppose.

The staff was very rude and even throw her hands up to indicate she couldn't help me find ice. My grandmother was here for a month and a half. She walked in happy and very independent. During her stay, she was verbally abused, neglected which caused her to fall and not checked on that lead to bed sores. We had to move her, she was in horrible pain one night. Due to her stage four cancer, she need to feel comfortable. However, she pressed the bell and the nurse came in, snatched the bell out of the wall, and told her to stop using it. When we stayed with her, they never came in. They just walked around in their face mask due to lack of cleaning of the facility. I only saw the other residents when their family were there visiting. Other than that, they stayed in bed and left alone all day. Pay attention to the signs: scheduled visits are not needed. Staff wear face mask. You don't see other residents out of their beds. They told us my grandmother was crazy and she did not fall. I wouldn't recommend this place for dog boarding!
