Fantastic shop, delighted to hear its been taken over by a couple of young guys who have great plans to expand in the future plans to offer more in the future i.e. hot food, cafe ,evening opening hours, this is great news for the island as young people rarely start up a business, exceptions being our Syrian friends so they deserve the support of the local community. Prices very competitive, often items are cheaper than the supermarket, bonus slso is they sell pies, sausages ,bacon and more from Maqueens of Rothesay who deliver fresh items daily to them.Despite having the setback of a feezer breaking down and loss of a lot of stock theyre still up and running ,great selection of groceries,i was able to get somd items for a curry i was planning to make.
They sell fruit and veg from fyne futures ,a local sustainable organic grower, all at reasonable prices ,with the meat products available you can conjuourre up a meal easily
Anyone walking the west island way ,or just walking from town to the port, youl find this hidden gem just off the coast route at Ardbeg, a wee detour and you can sit and enjoy the sunshine with a cold filled roll,a cold drink or a tea/coffee ,they have a couple of tables outside .
Highly recommended, head and shoulders above your average convenience store read more
