Working with ARD Home Services was one of the worst experiences I've had. They consistently blew me off after repeated attempts to get them to follow throw on door painting / installation. It was excuse after excuse...after finally getting them over to the house (granted they had my 6.8k for over a month), they installed the shittiest work I've ever seen. Photos attached. We had a fantastic experience with this company. We are new to the area and took to Yelp to look for someone to take on our project! We are so glad that we found ARD Home Services. we had to have a new water heater installed in our trailer and we happened to find a tankless water heater we liked. The job ended up being a little more complicated than we had hoped for but ARD Home Services had their guys show up in a timely manner and even come back after hours to get our water heater working. Outstanding tub-to-shower conversion by the Dixon Brothers! Highly recommended. Check the photos of the awesome job done in our home. Mom loves the custom shelf along the inside wall--it's both beautiful and functional. We initially planned for a glass shower door, but as we better understood Mom's mobility needs, the Dixon Brothers worked with us to pivot to a curtain design instead. This allowed clear placement of her swivel shower chair with armrests, and safe use of grab bars at both the entrance and back wall. They were a no-show on a follow-up job. Ryan's wife verified the date with me but apparently there was miscommunication between those two. Funny thing is I called them 3 times during the day and never received a response - nothing. I know they had my phone number because I left several phone messages. Very disappointed. I hired ARD to fix a broken door knob for one of my clients. They took the job and came out. The client or I could not be there with him while he did the repair but he called me after he completed and said it was all fixed. Not perfect, but it was attached and got the job done. He told me he called the client and told him, and that the client was in ok with it, so I paid him the money thinking I wouldn't hear anything else about it. The next day I get a call from the new home owner that the door knob is just hanging off and not attached. The client then tells me that the repair man called him and told him it was still broken but he would come out the next day to fix. He never told me any of that. ARD never came back the next day or reached out to finish the repair. Once the new homeowner called me upset, I asked if he could just go out there and finish the job and I would pay what I needed to. He said sure but it would have to be early the next morning. I told the client and new homeowner we would be there early at 8:00a to fix it. They agreed. The next morning at 7:15 he said I'm on the way I'll be there at 8:00. At 7:30 he says actually something came up it will be after 4:30. The client were frustrated but they understood. 5:30 rolls around and I get a call about him not showing up. I message twice and now he's ghosting me. I'm out $225 and still in the same place I started. I wish he would have just went to Home Depot and replaced what he needed to fix it from the beginning. I had a cabinet in our kitchen that needed repair. It was a bit tricky because the the original custom installation was not a high quality and the railing used to slide the cabinet out was not functional. Jacob repaired the cabinet sliders and ensured that they were in a better position than they were before. I will consider using them for other projects in the future. read more

I made an appt with this company for thurs 12:00. At 1:00 I called them. They responded saying they were behind at another job. They told me they would be there in a couple hours. Again at 5:00 I called them They rescheduled for Fri morning 8:00-8:30. I rescheduled my day to accommodate them. At 9:00 I texted them saying I guess you're not coming. Ryan (business owner) seems to be a really good guy and I wish them the best but I don't think they are organized when it comes to running their business. At this point I would not recommend using them for any projects outside of simple service calls. As a small business, I went back and forth about writing a review but seeing the job wasn't truly complete when we went into the attic I decided to share our experience. The homeowner should never have to identify incomplete takes. If you are looking for a quick service job I think they are reasonably priced but our renovation project was riddled with poor communication, lack of timeliness to complete work and messiness. When receiving our initial quote we were told it would take three days. The job from initial review of scope of the project to partial inspection passed (rough in) ended up taking nearly 5 weeks. Each time a new "finish" date was shared it passed while still not complete. We received different messages from the owner than their team members which caused a lot of confusion and frustration likely for them as well. Communication around arrival, what would be completed and when was very poor adding a lot of stress to our renovation and delaying every other subcontractor we had lined up which became very costly. Examples around arrival include when we realized the attic was still incomplete after final payment a team member showed up, said they would be right back after a quick run to Home Depot and then showed up 5 hours later. I don't care if it's going to be five hours I care that no one would reasonably consider that as I'll be right back. This was a frequent situation of "I'm on the way" early afternoon but arrival would happen after 7pm. The only time they were overly communicative was asking for payments. They were also messy including utilizing our toilets that had no running water which my husband ended up having to fill with water from our neighbors hose to flush away the cr*p even though I was told they would take care of that. That's just gross. Our personal tools were utilized by a team member and they were broken. We were not told this and instead found the broken tools ourselves. To Ryan's credit he did replace some of the tools and they also scratched our flooring tossing pipes. If you choose to use them for a bigger project I would ensure the estimate is very detailed regarding the scope of work and timeline. read more

Then he went silent for a couple of days so I checked back in via text to confirm if he was still interested in the job. He said yes and set an appointment for two days later. I was hesitant about the distance of this company being so far away in Runaway Bay ( our project was in Euless) - but they started work that same day and worked very hard into the evening, finishing late on a Sunday night which surprised us since it was the weekend , but we just wanted to get it done , so this was ok. I called Ryan Dixon owner of ARD Home Services on 10/27/2023 on a Friday afternoon around 4 pm to see if they could replace a water heater I had just go out that same day. Without hesitation Ryan said he could replace it that same day. To save time, I purchased a new water heater from Lowe's in Decatur and Ryan and his wife went to Lowe's and picked up the new water heater and brought it to our home at Lake Bridgeport, TX. By 8 pm on that same day Ryan and his wife had installed the new water heater and everything worked out perfectly. I highly recommend ARD Home Services to anyone needing plumbing or other home services to be fixed. Ryan and his wife were so polite and helpful and Ryan said he wanted to help save us money on the repair. His invoice for services rendered was under what I was expecting and way cheaper than what I was quoted by other plumbing contractors.
