Chocolate flurry w kit Kats & peanut butter cups
Ahlennah B.

A regular old school delight! They had a line at 5pm, after most of old town closes. This is clearly the spot to be! We are normally traditional vanilla & chocolate people, but we watched almost everyone ahead of us order the strawberry/lemonade twist and couldn't pass it up! The strawberry/lemonade twist was surprisingly good and the Fruity Pebbles tasting blue raspberry hard shell was a nice touch, if a structural nightmare my snack partner's hands were a glorious rainbow mess within 5 minutes of having his cone. Thankfully the nearby river was a great place to wash up. Chocolate flurry was good. They don't skimp on the toppings, but they're also not mixed all the way to the bottom, so the lower 1/3 of my cup was just soft serve. Good flavor! Should have gotten a small, tho...my eyes were bigger than my stomach!

Got a hot dog, nachos and Reeces - the ice cream deserves five stars, so much more than you get at the chain places - nachos unfortunately were really stale, and hot dog was OK. Definitely be going back for the ice cream for sure.

So went back today. Took my girl. She loved the brownie sundae. Fyi, posted several pics, including the menu. I had my small vanilla cup with caramel. It was warm caramel too. In heaven..... For $2.25..... :-) A girl can't go wrong.... So pleased!!!!!

Theeee BEST! North Lansing's finest

This is a TRUE North Lansing staple. I've been coming here since I was a little girl (fka Tasty Freeze) and it's still as good as the first time! Strawberry - Lemon cones are my absolute FAVE

It seems that Arctic Corner gets little attention from Yelpers. Like most soft serve in our corner of the world, this corner is open seasonally. The hours change with the weather. I rarely get past the cones or the occasional strawberry sundae, so don't expect a lot of deep insight from this review. I wouldn't even be writing a review if it weren't for the fact that Arctic Corner seems so lonely out there all on its own. So show it a little love, Lansing Yelpers. Head on down to Old Town and buy an ice cream cone this summer.

Large banana split
Cait C.

My date and I ended up at this sweet little soft serve ice cream shop in the middle of Old Town around sunset. Ordered up a large banana split and turtle sundae. We sat at one of the three picnic tables available out front while we waited for our orders. Even though there were 2-3 patrons ahead of us, we had our cold treats within 3 minutes. The ice cream was delicious! My sundae was chocked full of pecans and caramel. The perfect sundae. Every time we drive by this place, there are people out front chowing down. We will definitely be back.

Amazing! Best quality ice cream! Worth it! Prices a tad higher but you can taste the difference.

My mom came to get a banana split and the woman working was racist towards her. She was very disrespectful and rude.

The countless times I have entered and felt the entire mood of the place and then suffered through it. I am not an old codger, dear reader. I am fairly optimistic, yet the most expensive issues for dining out are costly. For my time, my wallet and value. With that, I am pleased to offer "Cooperhawk Winery and Restaurant." It is beautiful. Inside and out. It is for the connoisseur and the starter. It is priced right and there is something for everyone. Ordinarily, I would dismiss this type of venue. But it was the occasion of our anniversary and my wife is a wine girl. So I did it. And when we walked in,,, it was stunning. The first thing you will see is the grand wine wall with a long bar in front of it. This is where you can choose wine tastings and flights. Get a little something before dinner. They asked me if I was a card holding member. I laughed and said oh no. By the end of the day, I was. And am glad for it. The staff treats you like you are welcomed guests. Kind. Intuitive... and helpful. They are educated and know their stuff. The wine tasting was outstanding with the Sommelier addressing every facet of the drinks we were trying. And it was delicious. We were called for dinner and sat in the main dining room. Beautiful. Warm. Clean. Immediately, our server showed and wished us a happy anniversary and brought us complimentary champagne. (When you reserve your seats, it asks about special occasions). A bonus. We had a warm soft pretzel loaf with butter as we waited. My wife ordered a filet mignon platter which she defined as excellent. I had a chicken dish with outstanding potatoes and fresh green beans. More wine please. We imbibed. While we were full from the main course they still brought out some truffles to seal the deal. We decided to join the club and got a membership. 2 bottles of exclusive wine a month for $50. A fair value as with it comes wine tastings, complimentary glasses of wine when visiting and several offers a month. We have been back several times, and each is better than the last. I encourage you to come a half hour early to enjoy the spirits and relax before your meal. 10 out of 10.
