I felt like she received pretty good care from the nurse and nurse practitioner that we saw. We didn't have to wait too long, and they were quickly able to rule out a couple of things. They ended up calling in a prescription for an antibiotic for us, which is really what I believed was all we needed before we went in there. One thing did seem a little odd to me, however. Even though a nurse had told us "a doctor will be in to see you shortly," a doctor never did see my daughter - only a nurse practitioner came by. Based on a web search after the fact, I discovered that in Ohio, a doctor is apparently not required to actually work on site at a medical facility, just be in some kind of contract with and do annual reviews of a nurse practitioner. Or something like that. The nurse practitioner can write some prescriptions. So I'm left suspecting that there was not even a doctor on the premises that evening, which makes me wonder why the nurse said that one would come see my daughter. At any rate, I'll be interested to see our part of the bill when it comes, to see how their services are listed out. It crossed my mind that maybe this is the new way of trying to cut medical costs, but I have my suspicions that this was still a very pricey visit.

The waiting room is simple and clean. The patient rooms are clean as well. everyone is well informed for medical information for all patients young and elder on wall posters/signs and the television. The COPC lab on Africa Rd. in Westerville, is basically for walk-ins. After arriving, I waited and waited but I didn't mind because I am a patient person. Quite some time later, I was told that I had been called right after I checked in. Where I was, I would have heard my name called and I would have seen the lab employee. Never saw anyone looking for me and I never heard my name called. I was told the lab employees were going into a meeting. With people waiting to be seen, that was odd that they would have a meeting on the spur of the moment (ad hoc meeting). I had no idea how long the meeting would be and no one told me. Since I wasn't feeing well and had already waited quite some time, I needed to leave. Two MAJOR Concerns About the COPC Billing Dept. on Africa Rd.: 1. Shortly afterwards, I learned the COPC administration office charged me $25.00 saying I was a no-show which was untrue. I was there and I had checked in. 2. I do not trust the administrative office or the billing dept.! Also, I learned from a COPC employee in the Billing Dept. that their billing dept. charges a patient for lab work prior to the visit being processed by the insurance company. Not ethical at all. That is one reason healthcare is in dire need of reform!!! Note: The woman who checked me in wasn't friendly or welcoming. I had a very unpleasant experience with her. If you go there for lab work, you may wish to speak with one of the 'first' two ladies at the check-in area. They're names are Rebecca and Moona. BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO TO THE COPC LAB ON AFRICA RD. BEST NOT TO PAY ANYTHING 'AT ALL' UNTIL YOUR VISIT IS PROCESSED BY YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. On my online COPCmychart account, COPC Billing Dept. was charging me and expecting payment right then, even though my insurance company hadn't had time to process it. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING THERE.

The complex has several offices for various functions; when I got to the "lab draw station" there were a few people waiting, and a sign that said blood draw patients might have to wait awhile. Okay, I have time, and it needs done. Waited about 10 minutes. Staff up front and in back were super friendly and professional. Draw was quick and easy. Over before I knew it. I'd definitely come back here for another test, or an appointment.

Went to the urgent care to see if this is a pinched nerve/slipped disce Of course before coming I was literally screaming in pain, so loud that the dogs became concerned and flanked me. Once at the urgent care all my muscels loosened up. I can see how they may not have understood my pain was past a ten five minutes before I checked in. Parking was easy. Big lot. Not a lot of people here Saturday evening. I got checked in. Waited maybe three minutes. Was taken to an exam room. Jerico took my vitals. Was pleasant but could noticeably tell he hated chit chat. Lol He excused himself and the wait for a provider began. While waiting I noticed this room smells weird. Gross weird. I dont even want to think about what it is but it smells like the trash needs emptied and the trash smells for lack of a more descriptive word. yucky. I think that conveys it. Kind of smells like a mixture of puke and disinfectant. Ew. See. Yuck. Doctor Haynes come is. Was relieved it wasn't another NP. Especially due to it being an upper back/neck injury. Thats mg big beef with this place the NPs. I explain some of my medical history. Explain the injury. She does an exam concluding its soft tissue causing the pain. And doesn't need an x-ray. I agree it doesn't need xrayed, but was wondering why she didnt lean to mri. Never did she mention it. Still holding fast to its an pulled muscle. I am 100000000000% sure it is more than that. So I ask for a referral to the spine clinic. She gives it to me I was sent home with lidocaine and muscle relaxer. I agree, those I needed. The entire visit took less than 30 from the time I sat down in the waiting room. The only thing I was surprised by there was no follow up call. Usually when you go to an ER in urgent care, especially with a neck injury staff follows up the next day That was not the case here no follow up was received.

Took my daughter in with an active bleed. They took us right back. Got us checked in quickly…read more Once we got back there, we were met by Carla. She was super kind and then Doug came in and explained to us what he would be doing. Amazing stitch work! At some point, the doctor came in(he could use some pediatric bedside manner, but he was not needed). Nicole was another nurse that assisted and she was amazing! She spoke to my daughter while Doug was numbing and stitching her up. This gave us parents time to breathe and rest for a moment. Thank you to all of you for helping and making the best of a bad situation. We have also used this facility before for my son for a few stitches in his face. Thanks you!!

It's like this every time we have had the unfortunate need to go here. Don't unless you have all day to wait.
