After the procedure, they made sure to call for follow ups to ensure I was doing ok. About 2.5 weeks after my extraction, I felt like something was stuck in my extraction site and i wasn't able to get rid of it. I called them and they told me to come in just the next day, did a thorough wash and did not charge me anything. I met with Dr. Sadeghi for a consultation the day of my surgery. Much to my surprise, he was a super happy and upbeat character who was quick to answer any of my questions and put my worries at ease. If I had to have them removed again, I'd definitely come back to Dr.Sadeghi! I opted to have do IV sedation which I 100% recommend! Honestly, so much less anxiety-inducing than having the freezing. Although I have no memory of how I got from the dentistry chair to the recovery room chair, I do remember my initial waking up and honestly, other than being a little groggy, it wasn't bad at all. WestCoast Oral & Maxiollofacial Surgery give you a little take home goodie-bag when you have your wisdom teeth filled with the essentials that'll make your recovery easier. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THEY GIVE YOU! As you should with any doctor, but I feel it must be emphasized so that you limit the amount of recovery time and reduce risks of drysocket. The receipt I then received had incomplete information so it was difficult to file a claim. Returned today for a new consult. I arrived 5 mis prior, waited 20 minutes at reception and then another 25 mins in a chair. If I had not said something about waiting for 45 minutes, I could still be waiting. No one alerted me that Dr. Birdy was running late and so I just sat there wasting my time. I get emergencies, but the decent thing is to acknowledge the delays. I do not have confidence in this practice. The people there may be talented but book on the assumption that your time will not be respected.

However...Dr. Birdi's work was far less than satisfactory for me. Years ago, he did a gum graft. The healing process was painful and I am left with what looks like a big lump of bubble gum. More recently, twice, he tried to do an implant. The implant did not work. In the process, he sewed my gum to my cheek, which resulted in excruciating pain. When the implant then failed, he removed it. He then did some bone grafting, but after several weeks, the wound would not heal. I sought a second opinion. The new perio removed bone pieces from the wound, and within days the wound then healed . The new perio has since done a gum graft that was far less painful, and the graft on that side looks like a natural gumline and not a blob of gum. The new perio also had to reconstruct my vestibule, which Dr. Birdi had annihilated when he sewed my cheek to my gum (something my dentist said he did not understand). Finally, the new perio recently did a new implant. There was virtually no pain and the healing went without incident. I am happy to read good reviews from other patients, but feel a duty to post the facts of my case, which were not at all successful and involved months of pain and additional courses of antibiotics and oral prednisone.

I had an agonizing root canal situation--the kind that even hospital morphine couldn't touch. I was in absolute misery. On that particular Saturday, Dr. Winter offered to meet me at his office that very evening or even on the Sunday, just to help me get out of that excruciating pain. What's even more remarkable is that he was even ready to arrange for his staff to come in as well, making sure he and his team could take care of me outside of normal hours. It's incredibly rare to find a dentist willing to go so far above and beyond, especially outside regular hours, and to bring in extra help just to ensure a patient is okay. Dr. Winter not only resolved the issue, but did so with a level of kindness and compassion that is truly extraordinary. Lower Right: Dr. Winter did not inform me that the bridge made by the lab was too long and didn't fit. Instead of returning it back to the lab, he proceeded with its installation by adjusting one of the existing teeth and slicing the side of another one without asking for my permission or even informing me. When the job was done, the bridge was sitting lower than the original teeth used to be, creating quite a visible gap with my upper teeth, and leaving me with pain, which I never had on this side before, and which he was not able to address despite many adjustments he made. The only response from him was: "Just avoid eating on this side." Common sense tells us that one doesn't go to a dentist to do a major work in order to acquire permanent pain. I would never recommend him as a dentist.

There were practically no sensitivity issues afterwords. Also, the background music was more uplifting this time. I felt that Dr. Nejad was even inspired by that music - hence, she performed at her best. I took advantage of Willows sedative dentistry at the beginning of my treatment . I would go and they would sedate me I would have two or three hours of work done not remembering a thing it was amazing. I also used it for cleaning. It has now been more than 15 years since I've been going to Willow dentistry. And now I am so comfortable with the dentist the staff and everyone that works there. I sit through all the treatments without being sedated now. From the minute you walk in a friendly smile at the desk to a very informative and very professional dentist and assistant you'll be well taken care of every minute you there.
