Proprietor and staff are always friendly, and this has got to be the cleanest gas station / quick mart that I've ever seen. I handed the cashier a dollar bill for a 32 oz. drink (it's 97 cents), and she followed me over to the soda dispenser to hand back the 3 cents change. read more

The bank alerted me to fraudulent activity on my debit card, the only type they accept. Evidently their billing system puts a temporary $100.35 charge on the account, then credits it back when the actual amount is charged. This time, the $100.35 was not credited back. I don't think this is an issue specific to this Arco, but regardless, I'm going elsewhere from now on. Oh, and I got a much better car wash, cheaper, at the Kansan Road Shell station, for the same gas price. Too bad - still nice people (why this is not a one star review) and convenient location. read more

Go here. Great prices. Great workers. Parking lot isn't too bad to navigate. And the manager is super nice. He is a great guy and is willing to accommodate and help you out. Had a great experience here because of him. read more

Although they offered cheaper gas than most stations in Newbury Park for a period of time, they now have kept their prices artificially high to profit for several months. Not worth the wait, there is cheaper gas at the 7-11 store on Rancho Conejo and in surrounding areas in thousand oaks and camarillo. Also there is similar priced gas at Chevron and other stations in Newbury Park at this point. I won't go back until they lower their prices like everyone else. read more

I don't normally review gas stations but I was driving through late at night. As a woman, I love how brightly the station was lit. It was right off the freeway and looked cleaned and well-maintained. Prices seemed very reasonable. I did not go in so I cannot comment on the customer service. read more

If there were 0 stars that's what I would give them! Came here last month to go through car wash. The hood/ roof/ trunk brush did not lower. I went inside and attendant knew it wasn't working but kept car wash running. He gave me a new receipt good for one month and said it would be fixed by the time I returned. I've come back and while it now lowered enough to hit the roof of my car it was not low enough to hit the front hood. When I went in the store to point it out Ahmed starting yelling at me in front of customers claiming I was trying to get a free car wash. I PAID for a car wash and EXPECT my whole car to be washed! He even tried to take my receipt right out of my hand!!! I called corporate and they issued me a case # and will have the owner call me. I feel assaulted! read more

I've been getting gas here for years. It's cheap, and it's conveniently located for me. Tonight, my husband was grilling dinner, and - raw chicken on the grill - discovered we're out of propane. He rushed down to the Arco for a quick refill, and the douchebag working there said, "No refills - only new tanks." My husband pointed to the sign that says "Exchange, $19.99; New, $49.99," and Douchebag said, "Come back tomorrow morning." My husband went to Chevron across the street and got his refill. WE WILL NEVER GET GAS (or anything else) AT THIS ARCO AGAIN. Lying asshole douchebag doesn't deserve our business. read more

This gas station has a car wash station that has 4 levels you can choose from for how deluxe your car wash package gets, 4th being the highest. I went through the 3rd level wash ($11), and my car looks just as dirty as it did when I entered. My car is new so there are no dents or anything on it. What you're seeing pictured here is just dirt that the car wash failed to clean off of the hood. What's worse is the fact that all of the side windows, and the whole back of my car, are wet. The dryer doesn't dry for long enough. I dialed their "call this number for help" and nobody answers the line. I went into the shop and asked William for help, but all he would do was tell me that the car wash is not a hand wash its a machine drive thru.. thanks William, I know this. I have been through drive thru car washes for $5 that had satisfactory results. I am going to call the Manager, Sonam, at the same exact number that wouldn't pick up today, when he is back in tomorrow. Consider this issue unresolved if you still see this review in the future. read more

Arco - After the $11 car wash. They laughed at my dissatisfaction and didn't offer any solution. - Gas Stations Near Me - Newbury Park, California

No issues with the gas but the guy behind out counter does not want to be bothered by doing his job. I've been there 2 times this week and both times he couldn't get his phone out of his hand to help me. Today I paid for a drink then let him know there was something up with the sodas and he just said I guess they don't work then went behind the register and messed with his phone again. So now I paid for a soda that has no carbonation. Would have been nice to been offered my money back since I didn't get the product. Very upset. Maybe he should put his phone away and help his costumers. Just an idea. read more

This review is for their car wash ... which did literally nothing to my car. I did not get the "touch free" car wash, I actually wanted my car to get clean. As you can see from the pictures... my car was barely even touched by the car wash brushes. Rudest guy inside he would t let me talk to him he just started yelling at me immediately. Like literally even my windows were still dirty hadn't even been touched ! And then car was covered in hard water spots, honestly worse off than when I went in, $11 later read more

I get about 40 to 50 gallons of gas a week from this Arco but after today I will be taking a long break. William the cashier with a spiky hair in the fake chains charge me a dollar extra because I put a splash of cherry slushie in my $0.79 soda she told me I shouldn't have done that and I should have asked him first I don't know the rule etiquette on slushy and soda fountain but I felt like he was taking advantage of the situation. I asked for a refund and he refused. I told them it wasn't about the $1 it was about the principle of being treated right especially at a place where I spend so much money every week. I will be taking my very hard-earned money to the 711 on Rancho I have put Slurpee in my soda many times and the cashiers there are extremely nice plus they're hot dogs are good. read more

WARNING- I went to this location for a quick wash on my way out of town. Later that night I noticed all my chrome window trim had "water spots" all over it. I tried to clean it with no success, I tried EVERYTHING I could. I finally went to a detail shop for advise and was told the soap at the car wash had an extremely high PH value, it was like a mild acid. There is nothing to do other than buy new trim. Dealer quoted me $1400 read more

This is my favorite gas station. It always has the lowest price, it is at a corner so it very easy to get in and get out. One small inconvenience is that they take cash only, if one pays with a Debit Card you have to paid 45 cents extra. By not paying a fee to a credit card company they can lower the cost of the gasoline. I have not used the other services that are offered. The only suggestion I would make would be to pair arrows on the ground indicating the entrances to the pumps. In another words making the entrances to the pumps " one way only". It is usually not a big deal, however when it is busy, it can be messy to get in read more

Good automated car wash which is all I needed. Gas is reasonably priced too. How much more can I put down to review an automated Car wash? This 75 word minimum is ridiculous read more

This is my first one-star review ever. Yesterday after visiting friends in the neighborhood, I stopped here for gas and decided to treat myself to an Express car wash for $7.99 while I was at it. After waiting nearly 1/2 hour in line, I went through the carwash, which seemed normal, then hit the freeway. A few miles down the road, I noticed in my mirror that there was still a small bird splat on my rear window, and dirt on my back passenger windows. Once I reached my destination and inspected the car, it looked like it might not have even been near water in weeks, much less a full carwash. (I will try to post pics if I can.) What a joke! As someone else mentioned in their review, don't bother with this place if you actually want a clean car. Very disappointing. read more

Love this Arco, their employees and the carwash. It cracks me up that some boneheads expect a perfect, detailed carwash from Arco. It's like seven bucks for a DRIVE THRU wash that is done with brushes - LOL!!! If you are so picky, go get a hand wash or a detail - and do not expect miracles from a MACHINE. Oh, did your moulding come off your car? Can you not picture in your head how a brush could get stuck in a moulding and take it off or bend it?? What cars HAVE moulding nowadays, anyway? Oh, then there is THE SIGN that tells you that if something falls off your car, it is not their responsibility. You don't have to be a genius to realize that YOUR car could have already been damaged in some way, and that is why YOUR car part fell off. Try and see this as an adult would, ok? Anyone could go and claim that their car was damaged in the carwash - capeesh?Prove that it wasn't damaged first - impossible. Go cry a river and get a moulding from the junkyard. Love you, Arco! read more

Best gas station ever!!! I'd like to pay cash at the pump plz like we used to. Other then that love it

I just had such a strange experience here that I felt like I had to share. I had to pick up my car from the mechanic and get gas straightaway since the mechanic had driven around for a couple days and didn't refill the tank. I went here because it was close and it's .30 cheaper than across the street. Since it's cheap, there's usually about 3-5 cars waiting for a spot. So I waited 10-15 minutes, and people seemed to be confused. People were putting their cards into the machines, looking at the screen on the pump, etc. After I finally got a spot, my card got declined once......then again......then again.....I call my bank, I'm moving things around in my mobile....try again, declined. So I went inside to use my card inside and the middle-aged Latino guy working was explaining to another customer that their system is down and they can only accept cash. The customer (male) was upset and the employee didn't react at all. I went back to my car to get cash and the other guy and I said "Would have been nice if there was a sign on the pump so we would know" and the customer agreed. I head back inside and go up to pay, and I told the man working that he should put up a sign because everyone is confused and people are leaving. He then started FREAKING out at me. "I know what I'm doing". Like, relax. It was just a tip from someone who's managed people older than even him for seven years...wasn't meant to be rude. He then proceeded to yell at me, in front of customers, about how he doesn't need my advice and how dare I and yada yada yada...I was so shocked and I said "I'm just trying to help" and he screamed "IT JUST HAPPENED" (meaning the system just crashed)...but I had been there for over twenty minutes by that time....not to mention there was another employee just standing there staring at me doing literally nothing. The older guy grabbed the money out of my hand and was just super super agro. It upset me because he didn't act this way to the male customer who said the exact same thing. Also, you work at a gas station. You sell candy and gum to children. Maybe take a step back and look at that power trip next time you put mustard on a hot dog for someone. Don't go here. The .30 isn't worth feeling threatened when you go get gas. read more

I would NOT recommend coming to this place. Bad, BAD experience this morning for last time. I no longer wish to be treated this way as a paying for service cusromer. The owner/manager(I dont know his name nor do i care to at this time) worker LIA ignores me everytime I go in & when I had a problem with pumping gas I went back into ask her to help me. Owner manager came out & disrespected me by talking back & mumbling nasty things to me under his breath while perusing to help customers behind me at other register rather than helping me get the gas I already paid for & could not pump at station. I'd rather pay more at another gas station from now on than to be treated this way ever again. My business of the last of years doesn't matter to him it appears read more

Do not ever get your car washed here, it is a complete waste of money. I paid for the "ultimate wash" and believe me it was not ultimate at all, if anything it should be called the inconvenient wash cause it is completely inconvenient when you have to dry the whole car by hand with one of those brown paper towels, witch by the way are literally as hard as printing paper. Long story short DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A CAR WASH FROM HERE. read more
