First off I came into the gas station and wanted to purchase a protein drink and I grabbed a cup with ice for it. I fully expect to get charged for an empty cup. While at the register Frank the employee said do you plan on putting something on that cup. I replied yes sir this protein drink. He said you might as well put soda in it. I told him no thanks! He said well I am charging you for a soda. I simply said no thanks I don't want it then. He says too late you put Ice in the cup. I took a breath and paused, Sir I am not buying anything and left as he had some choice words for me , lol something about me using my head next time. I will not be going back there anytime soon. I wanted to post an update to the bad propane cylinder situation. I got a call back from the JS West barbecue division and they left me a message telling me to take the cylinder back to the store and have the owner call them if he did not believe me about being able to turn the bad cylinder in for a credit. I came back in and Singh gave me the same attitude he had the first time. I set my phone on the counter and played the voicemail on speakerphone. He got angry and tried to argue with me and I told him to just call JS West if he did not believe me which he did in a huff. After talking with JS West he stormed outside to the propane tanks without saying a word. He rummaged through and picked the most beat up looking cylinder he had in there plopped it on the ground and took mine. All this without saying a single word to me but glaring. I took my cylinder and went home. This cylinder also leaked. At this point I was just going to trade the cylinder in at another location and eat the $30. I had to take a trip to Modesto the next week so I decided to just go into JS West which was only a few miles out of my way from where I had to go on other business. The people at JS West were great and gave me a brand new cylinder. I told the people at JS West about the problem and told me this type of information is used to evaluate locations sell their cylinders. I told them that they also need to do a better job of inspecting the cylinders that go out. They agreed and apologized. Bottom line, I will boycott this gas station as long as I am around unless I get verification that it has changed ownership. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra hundred yards to the West or half mile to the east and get your fuel somewhere else. read more

O little town of Escalon, How slow you're growing up. With traffic lights, no ghetto blights, And Starbucks in your cup. And now you have an ARCO, Where we can get some gas. Pull off the road, adjust your load, And drive away so fast. This was the talk of the town among the few that remained here after high school graduation. ARCO typically has the lowest prices in Modesto. And what we have here on Highway 120 is no rinky-dink ARCO for a cowtown of only 7,000 people. It has many pumps, a regular-sized convenience store, and is kept clean and safe. I've found the prices a little higher than in Stockton, but that's to be expected. It's still the same ARCO that I experience in most places. No credit cards accepted. So there you have it. If you're traveling on 120 and running on fumes, no worry about if you can get to Oakdale before you run out of gas, you can go here. It's also a convenient place for locals. Just don't expect me to be there making up new words to songs as I sing about ARCO. I'm a bad singer anyway. read more

terrible place to get gas- sign said 4.19 for regular with cash - paid for gas inside, clerk set pump, went to pump gas and pump read 4.39, (as I pumped) went back to tell him what was wrong- very rude clerk said there was nothing he could do about it and I had to call the manager-what a joke- very rude clerk- likes to use foul language with women around, makes him feel big. what a pos. !! watch the pump price at this rip off place. read more
