Never go to this place at night, I got cussed out in Spanish because the guy didn't know I knew Spanish. He placed a sign stating "open 3:30" with a smiley face which he did not care. I walked up and all door were locked because he was counting every cigarette. I kept knocking and asking if the store was actually closed or is it closed at 3:30 and instead of being told it's closed for a lil bit he kept shushing me and to go away (mind you it was 1:40am and I still could not figure out if the sign meant he was on a 2hr break or it's open until 3:30am). I was then screamed at to come in and threatened by the worker to walk inside which I then proceeded to back away because I didn't trust what he would've done with having the power to lock me in the building with him. I walked away because why would I walk in to a place where I was threatened after 10min of trying to figure out if the store was closed or the guy was just being lazy. I had never been to this gas station before as I am not from the area and I am 99.9% sure my card got skimmed at this station. Days later after coming to this station, I noticed multiple charges at Cross Border Xpress which connects the Tiajuana Airport to San Diego. I have never been to Mexico. It has been a nightmare trying to get this handled because my account is now in the negatives. Even the other customers here are extremely rude. I pulled up to a pump and someone in a large van tried backing into the pump I was at, almost hitting me even though I was honking and they did not stop until I backed up away from the pump. read more

Horrible customer service. Just needed Ice. Sign says 50 cents for ice. Most of the time they charge 50 cents. Today the lady said it's 79 cents and 50 cents if I bring my own cup. I was at this Arco a couple of days ago, but I have never been to that location before. When one of the employees there decided to accuse me of stealing a box of candy. She came out to my car and banged on my window, i had just gotten in my car with my receipt and cash back from a purchase of Marlboro lights. She demanded money from me. The worst customer service ever, make a purchase and get extorted for something you did not do. She took my money since she was not willing to leave us alone. Just be aware that they hire people there who want to act as if they are vigilantes. I was selected to be a target of this lady because I drive a nice car!! I will never return to be extorted again!! I gassed up today using my credit card for the first time here and went on my way. My wife was working on our books and noticed two charges at this arco. She called me and asked me if I used the card today and I said yes I filled up. Then she asked me if I charged another charge at the same Arco and I said "NO". Someone got a hold of my card and charged on it. The only thing that makes sense is the people who work there because no one was around when I was gassed up. I will never gas up using my credit card at any Arco again. Your credit is not secure at Arco gas stations. read more

The price is good but the ongoing and growing homeless situation makes it unsafe. The owners seem to encourage it because AT LEAST three homeless people are always around the bathrooms. Lately, the homeless have been getting bolder, aggressively approaching people at the pumps for money, etc.. I've told my wife, daughter, their friends, and neighbors to not give this station your business until they make a concerted effort to keep their patrons safe. As an alternative, the ARCO on Baker is always cheaper, it's 1.5 miles away, and I have not had any issue with the homeless or keeping my family safe. read more

Easy off/on the 55 access.... this location always has some of the lowest gas prices. Didn't venture inside, since we paid at the pump. But was pretty steady with customers. read more

The only issue is you have to get off the 55 at 22nd street and go on the sides street or else circle around at Fairview but the extremely minor inconvenience is beyond worth it for the price. Pro: IT'S RIGHT NEXT TO THE ON RAMP, jack in the crack built-in, cheap gas, did i mention that it's right next to the on ramp!!? Con: broken pumps I have never waited to get gas at this place, at 7 am, 8 am, and 9 am. Due to so weird voodoo luck, people here don't stay around the parking lot and keeps the flow going. I usually get gas and grab something from jack, skipping one more place to hit before seeing my clients. Bravo for the location, bravo. read more

"Welcome to Yack inda Boss. I take you order?" That's really all I could make out as we pulled up to the drive thru... Even with gas prices on the rise, we still gotta drive. This is the gas station we often frequent before hitting the road to such destinations as Vegas, San Diego, Santa Barbara, etc. Not because it boasts the cheapest gas, (is any fuel cheap these days? I mean, OTHER than in the Middle East?) However - it IS conveniently located right next to the freeway onramp and not only can ya fill up, but there is a pretty good size convenience store (Quick Stuff) as well as a Jack in the Box to meet your energy drink/coffee/snacks/smokes/fast food wants. Now, under normal circumstances, I'd like to think the days of eating at gas stations is superfluously behind me... after all, I have a "career"... I'm in my 30's... I can afford groceries.... but damn those Yack tacos. They are dee frikkin licious! And 2 for $0.99 at only 160 calories per taco and only 8 grams of fat? Whatever you do, do NOT use your debit or credit cards on the automated machines at THIS gas station. In addition, the owner/manager is a d-bag. Basically, there was another customer whose credit card got stuck in the machine. Then I used mine and got stuck also as the employees failed to even put a "Only Cash" sign on the machine near my car. The other customer was there for almost one hour as the owners (by phone) do not have the keys to the machine. Due to inconvienience, they were willing to give us $10 of gas and then will charge us when they our stucked cards out? Really bro? Wow. This is seriously the worst gas station I have ever been to. There has been a massive pothole in the middle of the driveway that literally eats small cars for breakfast. And if you put $20 bucks in your tank, once the meter gets to $19.75 it pumps like $.01 per minute. So you either need to wait like 25 minutes for your tank to fill up or go back and wait in line to get you $.25 cents back. Grrrrrrrrr... total scam read more

Everytime i come here before 7 am to pour gas, every pump is full and NOBODY is pumping gas because every body is inside talking, talking, talking and yes i am mexican and sorry to say but its all the mexican lawn workers talking inside to eachother and the cashiers and they dont care they just keep talking and standing around like there at work already and i guess its a car pool drop off where u can park your car, try coming at 11 am and you will find no parking at any of the stalls and u go inside and expect it to be busy like in the morning but nope, not one person inside but yet all the parking stalls are full?? Since this ARCO only accepts debit cards and cash, you might be providing a thief with direct access to your bank balance. I used my debit card there on Sunday, after not having used it in months. Today, I had charges on my card in New Haven, CT. ARCO needs to move into the 21st century and allow credit cards at the pump. I don't intend on returning to this location. read more

Lowest priced gas around. But convenience store is on the small side. Easy access while at the OC Swap Meet. Friendly workers.

Gas is always reasonable, but pumps are a little slow, so fill up the night before your morning commute.

Tried to get gas at pump #10 today n said it was in use. Checked pump n the numbers looked all messed up. I lifted the pump and it engaged to dispense gas. I figured someone left a small amount not worth going in for, so I put pump back to finish last transaction. I then picked it up again and it restarted up again to dispense gas without having loaded any money. I then went in and told the attendant but he looked all confused. He then asked me how much, so I figured he fixed it and loaded my money on the pump. I go back out and the pump just reads zeros across the board as it dispenses gas slowly. I put the pump back after checking my gauge and approximating what I would have received with my money. I put pump back and checked if it was still activating and yes it was. Tried to be nice and inform them but oh well, I did my part. Guess its free gas wednesday for someone out there!!! read more

How do you review a self serve gas station? Well I really only come to this location due to its proximity to my home. although they do consistently have the lowest prices in town. The pumps are always working and busy. the place is as clean as you can expect and the staff inside is efficient. Having a jack in the box and a convenience store attached make it a bit more then your local gas station so I guess they have that going for them. read more

This location should consider doing a power wash on the pump area. The ground is disgusting! Gas, spilled drinks and God knows what else.
