It's quick, convenient, and gets you back on the road without much hassle. The biggest perk (and the main reason I stop here) is the gas discount. I love being able to use my Smith's rewards points to save $1.00 off per gallon. That really adds up on a road trip. Plus, this location tends to have some of the cheapest gas in town. Inside, it's your standard convenience setup. They carry a decent (but not huge) selection of snacks, drinks, and essentials, plus a restroom that's usually clean enough for a pit stop. There's also a Subway tucked inside so the place always smells like fresh baked bread (no complaints from me)! It's not flashy and the place does feel a bit dated, but that's not really the point. It's reliable, easy to get in and out of, and perfectly fine for a quick break on the road. If you're passing through Mesquite, it does the job without overcomplicating things.

I go in. They require that you pick an amount to put on you card and then a refund if you don't hit that amount. So much bullshit just to buy gas. So, my wife hears a beep at the pump. Starts pumping. I get to the pump to see the price does not reflect the $1 off. When I go in for my refund, I say I am pissed off about paying full price. The clown at the register say it did not take because I did not start the gas at the time. Well, duh huh, it would not allow me too. Anyway. Bad experience from the start. I guess that at 80 years old, having a Chevron app and an American Express credit card puts me in the same category as some thug travelling on the I-15.
