The problem I keep finding myself in is that because I am not there, the crew doesn't show regularly and does as little as they can. As you can imagine, it does not take long for a large heavily wooded waterfront property to deteriorate. When that happens, I find myself having to spend a thousand or more dollars to get the yard and beach back in order. Danny promised the World and charged accordingly. He overcharged me to get the yard in order and then his crew were in and out in less than 20 minutes when they showed per the neighbors security camera. Again, I found myself in the same old spot in spite of Danny's promises. He is a poor representative for the company. Promises you the World and delivers half at best. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Thank you for taking the time to respond. I stand by my review. I gave Danny the list of what I needed covered on the property. He told me it was straight forward and what was included and what was extra at the time of the contract. Over and over, I went to the property and what we agreed to was not being done that was on the no extra charge side. This watering issue is nothing new. Danny kept telling me someone was messing with the timer. Why just the timer that is hidden away in a carport closet? Nothing else on the property has been messed with. Danny told me he would replace the plants that died due to the lack of water to those hanging plants. He told me on one occasion that he was trying to complete that promise but the quality of what was available was bad. When I asked again yesterday, he said I forgot about it. Now he wants a receipt from me which I did not keep. A little too late when I had to take care of it myself and now prove I did for reimbursement. He knows what plants they were and approximate cost. The issue with the front hanging plants was not the timer after all. It was the index valve failure that was only allowing watering of the backyard where a soaker hose was cut during the cleanup and there was a broken sprinkler. Did no one check the functions of the sprinklers on taking on the job? I would have happily paid the extra to have forgone the weeks and weeks of grief caused by this issue with the drip system. It was never offered to me until a day ago. I never requested Wally be pulled off his job. Instead I told Danny I would have my Destin landscape guy come and troubleshoot. Twice Danny fired me because I was concerned that the property was getting behind. When I asked the neighbor if he saw my crew, he checked his cameras and the time there was time stamped and it was 20 minutes. That was what I stated in my post and you confirmed in your response. Maybe they stayed longer on other visits that I did not know to follow up with the neighbor on. I just asked for that current week. So in closing, what Danny and I agreed to was not carried thru on a weekly basis. My shrubs in the front are filled with vines again. I had to have my landscape service in Destin come and troubleshoot and repair my irrigation system that Danny claimed was being sabotaged when in reality it was equipment failure. I could go on and on with holes in the service including illegally blowing leaves off my beach into the bayou, vines on the window screens etc etc etc... They may have hauled leaves away multiple times that had to go to the dump, but I asked them to just mulch them and they chose to do it their way. The yard has had mulched leaves for years and we like that rustic look instead of brown dirt. I have no idea the number of hours spent on cleanup by the crew, but I have had it done many times over the last 30 years and it never exceeded 800.00. I believe your invoice was closer to double that. Maybe you can tell me why it took the guys twice the time when it was in the same shape as multiple times before. To date, my 3 tree stumps from the removal of the trees at the clean up are still there. Months ago they were suppose to be ground out. I understand Covid has put a lot of pressure on service industries like yours. I tried to be understanding but tired of Danny pointing the finger at me. In my opinion, he is not an asset to your company.

The subsequent active leak damaged the inner wall. Alex Daugherty refused to honor his work warranty, stating catagorically there was nothing wrong with their workmanship due to the roof being new. Inspections throughout the ensuing insurance claim revealed the workmanship to be sub-par. Another contractor repaired the flawed roofing. Due to Alex Daugherty's unfortunate decisions, I am no longer able to recommend his services.

I'm extremely satisfied with their crew who were all nice, respectful and friendly and they all worked great together & were constantly working, no smoking or looking at the cell phones. They even had a crew on the ground that constantly kept up with trash and any stray nails and they completely covered my pool that was close to my home and were careful around my landscaping and flowers. I spoke with Alex over the phone and he was able to answerer every question i had, and i always have a bunch and after confirming the great price with Alex and picking the color on Thursday he had the shingles delivered Friday and we were able to arrange his schedule and get me done immediately which in it's self was impressive. They were even willing to come on the weekend to get it done and i told him Tuesday would be fine I wanted to be on site during the job. He was on top of getting the permits done and completed for the sale of the home. Very impressed. The price was great and didn't nickel and dime me. The roof had a sun roof and A&M took it completely out cleaned it up and resealed it completely. i mention this because i have seen "other company's just reroof around them. I told my neighbor and he liked the job A&M did as well and got them to do his roof. He's retired military and likes things done very precisely too. I have a house in Navarre and i'm going to have them do that roof as well. With A&M being family owned you are dealing with the owners and not a bunch of different people, less over head. But with no secretary's or salesmen when you do call A&M roofing you may need to leave a message and Alex will return your call. Differently worth the wait. I was with the crew from start to finish watching the job and rest assure -search no more- A&M is the roofing company you want for your home.

I called Mr. E., the company representative, at 9:00 on Monday; we met before lunch on Monday. Mr. E. took many photographs of the roof, both of the problem area and of other areas that would turn into problems if I didn't do anything about them, and gave me a detailed explanation. His crew came the next Saturday and fixed the problem. I showed up later in the day and just missed them. Apart from the obviously repaired section of the roof there was no trace that they had been there; they had cleaned up everything completely. I texted Mr. E. and because he was still in the area he came by to receive his payment. He had more photographs and detailed explanations of what the repair crew had done. I am thoroughly pleased.

After the repair was completed we got several nails in our shoes because there were so many left in our yard. They trimmed the trees so they wouldn't touch the roof but left all the branches in our yard and left some touching the roof. The project manager was pretty good about following up to fix these mistakes, and seemed genuine about fixing the issues. They sent a person to fix the stains on the ceiling from the leaking caused by them but he was a little rude when entering our house. Saying, "Finally answered the door huh". The project manager Drew did come by himself and pick and trim the rest of the tree branches but we still found a lot in the yard. Honestly Drew was great but the overall experience from this company was pretty bad. I had to go and buy a metal detector to get nails out of our yard after they said they came by and cleaned up two or three times, If I was rating Drew I'd give this a 4 out of 5 stars but the company I'll give 3 starts. Too many mistakes with too many follow ups and unfinished tasks. And after all the follow up work Drew did I want to rate it higher but can't bring my conscience to give a good rating. So to begin - we, the customer, did the total demolition - they started with stud walls and ceiling, the concrete demo was accomplished per Arista's / Marks specs, they had to remove nothing except their trash they made day to day. Length of job 5 months - started in June finished October. So we could go in detail as to all that went wrong and Mark will probably dispute each and every claim we make, but in the end if proof is needed we have pictures of the work and the bogus receipts we received upon request. The sub-contractors this company uses are deplorable from the sheet rocker (Mitch Smith Drywall and repair), to the electrician (Get wired electric), the countertop company (PGI professional granite installations), the building supply store (Pittman Pea Ridge Cash and Carry) and the cabinet builders / installer (Solid Solutions Custom Cabinet). Not one of them gave a detail invoice even though we requested them as such. We have come to the conclusion that using a general contractor business at this day and age is just not worth the money or time

The OM was very attitudinal, not at all helpful and talking down. She said we needed the receipt, got indignant while we tried getting assistance. She said the Business Manager:Owner would not come out to fix anything without a receipt. We kept searching for receipt and finally found it electronically. We have been calling the business for 2 months without reply - we were however persistent. When we got in touch with the Business Manager days later we found out we could have contacted him directly and he would've come out then. He actually came out the same day we contacted him. The female Officer Manager was a detriment to deal w/ and delayed our repair unnecessarily. We would've been SOL without a receipt and if we didn't get s hold of the Business Manager/Owner. NOTE: Office Manager needs Customer Training to do the company good. Owner: great guy, impeccable service!
