This would be this second time I've visited Archibalds the first time was Hella bad, I ordered tacos and when I got the order it was super oily, I took 2 bites and threw away the other. Fast forward many years later, I wanted to give them another try since the restaurant always seems busy. Got the big combo for like $17 after tax and was it worth it? Not really, the fries could've been hotter and chicken strips fried harder. I probably wouldn't give them another vist. Try Farmer Boys! Ohhh R Burger off the 15 has the same combo for like $12 maybe $10

Went in recently after having avoided this place since I first moved into the area six years ago, and was pleasantly surprised. I just ordered the half price zucchini on happy hour, and it was solid. The lady serving me was awesome. The specials they have throughout the week like taco Tuesday or the family pack are pretty solid values. They also have a chips and salsa bar that is self serve while you wait for your food. Massive plus. What turned me off initially was the pricing for the amount/quality of food that they served. Now, in 2024, it seems like everything and anything is grossly expensive when it comes to food, so this place doesn't stand out as being massively overpriced like it used to. I'll probably come back to try some more options like the taco Tuesday or the family pack and post an update. It seems like it's definitely improved a bit.

1st time here. Surprised they have a DUI on their menu, the only other place I know is Jim's off Telegraph in Pico that has that. Gotta say ...not too bad. The chili was tasty, the pastrami was a lil on the dry side but not terrible. My husband said the beer is really cold and that their minchi was good. I'd come back again.

    Sourdough toast

I been coming to eat here and it's been great but today I really don't know if is one of those Monday but today the the chorizo scramble missing egg because all I taste is chorizo and the sourdough is not even toasted I'm really disappointed at Archibald drive thru today. But I won't give up maybe next time it will be better.

We also had the chilaquiles with salsa verde, and those were amazing. The green sauce had really good flavor and the yellow corn chips tasted house-made with a great texture throughout the dish. I remembered this because Iron Skillet has got to be the fastest on the draw in terms of keeping you coffee topped off. I counted in the first fifteen minutes I was there, I had my coffee refilled four times and probably eight times in the span of the forty-five minutes I was there. The only slowdown I saw was when they dropped off the bill. Suddenly after that no one was checking on me to see if I needed more coffee. I guess they figured that I had had enough and were cutting me off. That's a mistake because as long as I'm sitting at breakfast I'm going to want coffee. The second thing I noticed was they have a damn good skillet program here, especially if want to experiment with creating your own. It was something like $15.50 to put in three mix-ins for your skillet, but only $1.50 to make the mix-ins unlimited. This time I kept it simple--sausage, ham, green peppers, and onions along with customary cheddar and three eggs--but next time I'm going to experiment a little. The skillet itself was amazing. The portion was generous, the produce was fresh, and the eggs were super runny. It really is in contention for the best traditional skillet I've ever had. The other thing that could've put it in the running for best skillet overall is if they had some exotic offerings for protein like I've had elsewhere in the country like elk, smoked pulled pork, duck, walleye, or even rabbit. Skillets are good, but skillets with like an animal you don't normally see for breakfast is amazing. I'm still on the lookout for my goat skillet. The service, as aforementioned, was impeccable. The coffee refills is the main thing I complain about other breakfast joints and here I never even had a thought to getting upset regarding that for the first portion of the meal. My only critique as you may have guessed is to continue that generosity and initiative for the whole meal. I really want me to toy with breaking double digits with the amount of coffee refills I receive during a meal. And that's only going to happen if you continue to ask me after you drop off the bill. The ambience is good. It looks like a diner. It quacks like a diner. It's a diner. I felt right at home here with all that space and mix of booths, tables, and counter space. I'm definitely planning my trip back here for that superb Build-a-Skillet and that fantastic attention to keeping the coffee overflowing in my mug.

Most diners and breakfast spots like this have great food but I never like their coffee. This one was solid. I had the eggs and country potatoes with the wheat toast. I wish the potatoes had a little more flavor but the eggs and toast were great. It's a cozy spot and it reminded me of that cool diner from pulp fiction. Be cool, honey bunny, and try the cinnamon roll.
