I ordered 2 Hook and Ladder with everything, on sub and it came with a pickle in each box. The order was placed via app and was picked up within the time range that was selected. The food was already ready and was placed in a pick up rack that was to the right of the counter (as you walk into the entrance). I was greeted by two staff that happened to be working at the time. The restaurant was clean and wasn't too crowded upon my arrival there. I picked the food from the rack and brought it home. The food was packaged nicely, inside a brown paper bag and the sandwich was made and wrapped with care. Both sandwiches were cut in the middle. The sandwich tasted delicious and was filling. I think it's right in between subway and Jersey Mike's. Much better quality and taste than subway and just not as tasty as Jersey Mike's. Service was quick but kind of impersonal. They don't seem too happy to be at work. Almost like they are just rushing, although it's wasn't busy. Place was clean and pleasant. I took it to go and it was fast. Very expensive for extremely small portions. Be ready to spend close to $50-$40 per person for door dash or dine in. Ralphs down the street makes great sandwiches for a fraction of the cost. And they use boars head meat which is pretty darn fresh without preservatives. "Bowl" of chili here is about the size of a coffee cup. Cup of chili is the size of a shot glass. It's one of our regular sub and sandwich joints. I usually order ahead for pick up on the app and eat it at home. We've eaten here a few times for lunch and dinner. Inside, there's plenty of seating. When the weather isn't too hot or cold, you can sit outside on the planters. It's always good service. Since most of their food has to be heated up, it takes a while to make subs. We order from the app when we remember. They have a dedicated pick up area. They make their subs on the sweeter side if you like that. Overall, great service and food. When I walked in I stood behind another Veteran who was waiting to order but apparently got denied. He asked to speak to the manager who then began to offer excuse after excuse about why the he WOULDN'T honor the free sandwich for Veterans on this Veterans Day. His first excuse was: "He already gave out over 200 free sandwiches today". Why is it the Veteran's fault for enjoying a free sandwich on Veterans Day? His second excuse: "He was short staffed", but, there were only 3 customers in the store and there were 3 employees working. His third excuse: "One of his employees just got injured in the back." How is this my fault? He eventually offered to take care of the Veteran in front of me, but when I asked about the Veterans Day special, he shut me down and only offered a quick apology that did not seem genuine at all. Worst Sandwich I have ever ordered. I ordered it from DoorDash. I ordered a Turkey Sandwich with Everything but onions. I also ordered a Bowl of Loaded Potato Soup and a pickle on the side. What I got was a completely dry sandwich and a half full cup of soup. They charged me over $30.00 for this order. Even doordash wouldn't help me in this situation. If you are going to let your quality of food go out of your store this way that is SAD!! The Ontario location just opened last week. I usually go to the Rancho Cucamonga location. The place is a bit tight for seating, but you can't beat the tasty sandwiches they offer. I highly recommend this place for lunch. They offer a small, medium, and large size sandwich. I'm a big eater and the medium combo filled me up. With the combo you get chips and a medium size fountain drink. I'm sorry to say, but these sandwiches are better tasting than Subway, Jimmy Johns, and Jersey Mikes. It's almost as good as Nano's Sandwiches on Archibald, but these sandwiches are much less expensive than the 10.00 sandwiches at Nanos. A lot of police were inside the shop eating. First responders get a discount. They also sell soups and salads. They have a good size menu Update: Went back and I'm a bit disappointed in their wait time. I would recommend you go online and order before you show up. They have a rewards system they offer through the app. The food is good, but the service is slow. I saw one particular female employee struggling with making sandwiches so I think it's more of a training thing. Hopefully, once they learn how to make the sandwiches quicker, the wait will be less. It's new place so I will give them time. The chili bowl is not a bowl. It comes in two cups. It's great chili, but I wouldn't recommend it if your really hungry. You might want to order two bowls. The inside seemed a bit messy but it didn't bother me since I wasn't planning on eating there. If you are looking for good price and value, keep looking because the prices here are pretty steep for a sandwich BUT if you're aiming for quality and satisfaction, this is the place for you. First visit to Firehouse Subs - and to be honest - It's my last. 2 stars because there was a sandwich - I ate it, and now I am full. The quality of the sandwich was poor however. I ordered the 'Hook and Ladder' as it was recommended as the main sandwich they sell. If I hadn't read the menu, I would have had no idea what was in it. It was warm, slightly sweet, mushy unidentifiable meat and vegetables (supposedly). The bottom of the sandwich was wet and falling apart. For clarity I took the sandwich to-go, and the time between picking up the sandwich and eating it was about 12 minutes. The only reason I ate it was that I was very hungry. First of all, I've never actually eaten at this restaurant. I had always bought to go and picked up from here, so I'm just going to say this. They are always on time with their orders, making the food as soon as they get the orders and having it ready within 10-15 minutes. They have also separated the food orders from each other, Grubhub has their own section, Doordash has another section, so on so forth. I'm kind of a fan of this, however they do keep changing the area, which does make it kind of annoying because I just end up walking back and forth until one of the workers help me out, which leads me to my next point. The workers are so nice and awesome! They are friendly and super helpful, always willing to come out from behind their stations to make sure you are okay and nothing is wrong! Also the food. Well, I am a big fan of all of their food! It's hot and yummy, and the items don't get soggy even after picking it up and driving 10 mins back. Tried this place for the first time about a month ago. I did not go in myself, my brother went and got me dinner because our Mom was staying at Kaiser and I was going to spend the night with her. So I has him get me something hearty. I got the meatball sandwich combo. When he came back I ate immediately. I was pleasantly surprised with the pickle, they are my favorite so it was a great addition to the sandwich. The sandwich was great! The meatballs were a nice size, the sauce was very tasty, and the cheese on top was wonderful. I like how the sandwich comes in a box instead of being rolled in paper. Well, I liked it so much that about a week later I suggested to my husband we get dinner there. The staff was polite. The place was clean and the layout was nice. We ended up eating there.
