SCW and I have been club members for years at Archery Summit. We stopped in while visiting wine country for a tasting. The new tasting room is quite nice with great views of the valley. They have indoor and outdoor seating with some of the outdoor seating covered and some completely open. We sat inside. The tasting experiences here are great. We've done the cave tour which was amazing and this time we chose the tasting room. I find their wines very enjoyable. They focus on Pinot Noir, but have other varietals as well which I really enjoyed their Chardonnay. After our tasting we upgraded our club membership as we really enjoy the quality wines that they are producing. We joined before they got recognition from major wine publications and they continue to impress me. The service is great as well. The hosts were knowledgeable and really wanted you to enjoy the experience. I certainly recommend stopping into Archery Summit. read more

From vineyard views to hidden caves, Archery Summit is pure Oregon magic! First stop on our Sunday wine tasting trip, and we didn't want to leave. It's been three years since our last visit, and the transformation after their renovation is stunning. Modern comfort meets vineyard charm. We enjoyed the outdoor deck overlooking the valley, sipping through some of the best Pinot in the region, including their 30-year anniversary bottle, which absolutely delivered. Our tour guide aka server Arnom was a highlight of our visit. Ask for Arnom, he makes wine feel like a story, not just a pour. His enthusiasm, deep knowledge, and perfect pacing made every tasting memorable. The cave system is a must-see, and the indoor tasting room feels like your own secret. We will drink in here next visit. Our tasting fees were waived with our new wine club membership, and we left with a case of wine and memories that will age just as well. Nice job Archery Summit! Had an amazing experience at Archery. We didn't have a reservation but they welcomed us with open arms. We were so lucky to have Emma who was guiding a tasting for the first time. Despite this being Emma's first time, she's spent years around the winery and knew the answer to all of our questions. It was a great experience and we have her to credit for that. I was blown away by the Chardonnays which are not something I know Willamette for. Make sure not to sleep on these. But the Pinot Noirs are what the region are known for and theirs are some of the best we tried. The views are great, the cave is cool, and the hospitality is incredible. Great experience at Archery Summit. We stopped by from out of state without a reservation and ended up enjoying a nice bottle of Chardonnay on their outdoor sun filled deck. Our host was friendly and informative without being overbearing. We were very happy to enjoy the ambiance, watch the sheep grazing, sip our delicious wine, and explore the cave downstairs without the high pressure sales spiel to buy a club membership. There is a place for every type of winery visitor and we enjoy the ones like Archery Summit that treats all visitors with equal graciousness. read more

The wines were outstanding. Their Pinots were great! The wine tasting fee is quite pricey though $50 for a taste, no waiving fee unless you join the wine club. But they do sure pour you generously. I guess you can say it's 2 glasses of wines for $50. We ended up buying 2 bottles of their $150 Pinots. I hope it was as good as when we tasted it. Probably the most expensive Pinot wine we've bought! I still can't really justify paying $50 for a tasting though and no waiver of tasting for purchases over a certain amount. You see that more in Napa wineries. But nevertheless we had a good time and our server was really attentive. The caves were nice and cold too! Great ambiance. read more

Oh Archery Summit. You aim so high...You have all the accouterments of the quintessential winery. You have a lovely wine cellar with the humid damp environment you would expect to find in the French hill side. Your wine even tasted amazing! But now I must address the negatives. Let's start with the 65$ wine tasting... Not much more to say there. Then we can talk about the staff of 19 year olds that you expect to educate me on your wine, for 65$...2 of which are dressed in hoodies. Then we can talk about how this staff doesn't even pour the wine from bottle that we purchased. They drop it off and say "I'll just let you pour this". this generation of customer service, even at a boutique winery. The very place that is suppose to pull out all the stops to entice the customer...idk. I was just left kinda laughing. I'm glad Sokol Blosser is not far down the road:) read more

What a day!!!! Our 2nd stop on our Sunday "Wine Tour" landed us at this beautiful winery in Dayton, Oregon. The grounds were breath taking and the view was spectacular! And on top of all this, our personal tour guide, Barry, was fantastic!!! A former Lutheran Minister, now a wine aficionado, he educated us all on the difference between the red wines and the regions they came from. We started with an outside tour followed by a tour inside the fermenting room with more tastings and then ended in the cave for our final tasting of our wine flight and the opportunity to become a member. We also watched a video on how they make the "oak barrels" that hold the wine. Very interesting process. My favorite was the 2020 ARCHER'S EDGE Dundee Hills Pinot Noir. A full body, smooth Pinot bottle priced at $90. A 90 minute tour and tasting is $80 per person. This tour was worth every penny!!! I highly recommend this winery if you are looking to learn about wine and/or are interested in trying wine from Oregon. read more

Great ambiance if you chose the cave wine tasting experience. I'm glad we were able to do this option, but I don't feel the need to go again. It was very pricey and the tastings were extremely small. They have very limited options for their wine categories, so if you're not a Pinot Noir or Chardonnay fan then you're out of luck. There seems to be an issue/flaw with their website. I was only able to make a reservation for 4 at 3pm on a Saturday but then called and we were able to have up to 10 people. When we arrived, we were the only ones there the whole time. So don't let the online reservation system deter you. Very beautiful place and an excellent stop on my aunts birthday tour. read more

Made reservations for wine testing at archery summit for my birthday really wanted to check out the cave. The only choices for the cave was a wine testing of a set price per person. Even thought it was nice inside the cave the view of outdoor was stunning definitely regretted not taking advantage of the nice weather. Service was fine there were varying few customers I felt they just wanted us in and out. 20 mins into our tasting a group came in with a tour guide and I could definitely tell a difference between our service might of been because it was a tour and we were only there for our reservations. read more

I had high hopes for Archery Summit but was a bit disappointed in the Tour & Tasting. I thought it was way overpriced for the experience. It was a standard tour & tasting ($80) and the wines were good but I thought the price point on some of the Pinot Noir wines was exorbitant. $100 and up! Pretty cheap with the pours, too. Typical pours were 1.5 oz. The chardonnay was good......but I come to Oregon to sample the fine Pinot Noirs! It all comes down to the host - the better the host, the better the sales at the end. We all opted to leave without purchasing anything. I had wanted to come here for a long time but was quite disappointed. Perhaps you'll have a better experience than we did. read more

I had a terrific tasting visit here with a friend last week.  We made a reservation for a tasting indoors and were treated to a handful of delicious recent vintages of Archery Summit pinot noirs.  It wasn't a particularly busy time at the winery, and the indoor tables where we tasted were spaced very far apart, making us feel very comfortable that we were socially distanced from the other parties tasting that day.  Wine barrels were everywhere along the cellar walls, creating a beautiful ambience.  Our host was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the winemaking and the winery, and we were there for at least 2 hours, a lovely and generous tasting that was every bit worth the $50 per person.  Highly recommend for fans of Oregon Pinot Noir, and because the view is so pretty from the winery's doors, I would try an outdoor tasting next time! Will happily go back sometime! read more

We visited Archery Summit this last weekend, it was next on our checklist of Dundee area wineries. Unfortunately, there is some construction happening so you loose some of the ambiance upon entering but that is temporary. We saw the rendering of the upgrades and it look beautiful, we will have to check it out when it is finished. We were seated in the cave area, which is a pretty cool experience. It is cold, but they offered blankets. Our server was very knowledgeable, it is an experience in itself to talk to someone who knows a lot about wine but explains it in a thoughtful way to novices. One thing they are lacking on is food, I would give 1/2 a star off for this normally but they made up for it in service, so it tipped the scale. There a no food options at all, I hope with the remodel they consider adding this. Even just small boards and snacks. The wine was great, prices are high, but not unusual for the area. The tasting fee is a little higher than average, but it does come with a bit of a wine education not just simple pour and walk away. Lastly, they let you choose a cellar selection which is a nice touch. We could have a little fun with it. Overall, we will be back...after the remodel:) read more

A beautiful winery in the Dundee hills Ava of Willamette Valley perched high on the hill with sweeping views of the valley and on a clear day, mount hood. We had a reservation for their prestige tasting which is conducted in their cave (the only real cave in the region). Our tour started with some walking wine (Chardonnay) and we were given an overview of their unique gravity fed winery-pretty cool. After the tour we were seated at a beautiful table with 6 glasses of Pinot from their various vineyards each representing the uniqueness of a particular plot. The side by side format was great for comparison and they even provided some nibbles (cheese, salami, nuts and chocolate) to better understand and appreciate the wines. Their wines are very high end with bottles in the $90-$150 range for 2015/16 releases. We enjoyed all of the wines and had a hard time choosing a favorite. We ended up joining their wine club so we will get 3 bottles every quarter to start building our collection High quality, premium wines in an unique setting. Definitely worth a stop and definitely worth splurging on the seated prestige tasting. read more

This place is amazing as always! I continue to be a member here even during the pandemic because we are loyal to Archery summit and because I believe they have the best pinot noirs in oregon, they have amazing wines and we have always been pleased with the great service especially from Tessa! I would highly recommend this if you want some great pinot noir and a great view of The Valley ( the caves are amazing as well). This was such a disappointing experience. My husband and I were at a pick up party at vineyard close by and we decided to try Archery Summit. We walked into the tasting room and there was a long table with at least 4 employees near the door. No one seemed interested in helping us. We ordered a bottle of the most expensive wine and were told we had to sit at the "lower level". This didn't bother us, until after a few minutes sitting on the chairs we noticed there were at least 6 open tables behind us. The young lady who seated us, didn't engage in conversation and didn't offer any information about the vineyard. ZERO. I asked her an open ended question about the Vimeo and got a 4 word response. We saw at least three groups of people walk in and then walk out, which is strange for winery that wasn't even busy. The wine was very good as it should be for $150, but the service was terrible. We're members at a few other wineries and we're always open to expanding club memberships but not at Archery. read more

My wife an I recently went on the tour and tasting and had a fantastic time. It was led by Anthony who was an amazing host. He was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and always open to answer our groups questions. We began discussing the history of Oregon wine country and then walked through one of the vineyards (got to try some Pinot grapes). From there, we went on to see where the grapes were off loaded/destemmed/cleaned. Next we were on to see the many large fermenters. Finally, we went through the barrel cave. This was my favorite part of the tour! It's so amazing to see how many barrels they have aging. To finish the tour off, we sipped on a bit more of their amazing Pinot from their tasting room within the cave. It was the perfect ending to a memorable experience at Archery Summit. read more

We had the barrel tasting experience, definitely worth it! Our taster had a lot of knowledge about the winery, wines, and just region in general. They had a tablet of cheese, meat and crackers to go with the wines sampled. I enjoyed all the wines we tasted! They were all smooth red wines! We are long time members of Archery Summit ( until today that is). Archery Summit used to be the the place you went to experience a special member event which left you feeling appreciated. It was the kind of place where you knew the wine was good and definitely expensive ( maybe even overpriced) but you bought it anyway as they made the experience part of the reason you paid average of $75 - $100 a bottle. Not anymore. The tastings are in a cold , bright room with little to no atmosphere ( if you were one of the unlucky ones put in their fermentation room rather than seated in the caves). Plus..nothing offered to pair with your tasting..so the so called pick-up party was nothing more than a tasting they offer a 1st time or non member visitor. Their customer service and experience is no longer anything special and actually lacking. Leaves members wondering why we are buying these expensive wines when the Willamette Valley has so many other delicious wines from wineries who still put the effort into events to make members feel appreciated. read more

Wines are good, don't get me wrong. The reason we went here was because we had their wine at a restaurant the night before and loved it. The best view in the complex is literally sitting in your car in the parking lot. Total waste of space if I were to design it. But they have caves, which now that I think about it, people probably use for sexytime during off hours. The staff was a little pretentious and snobby. I hope not all the staff was like that, but the person who helped us was kind of a jerk, I would use the d-word here but yelp probably doesn't like that. According to our receipt his name was Colin. So, if you want to avoid the $30 kind of outrageous tasting fee, you buy a bottle and share it with your group, right? Apparently they don't do that here, but they don't tell you that until you get there. So we decided to get the wine we had at the restaurant. The guy sighed like we we ruined his day. I'm not gonna shell out $120 for 4 people to taste, but I also can't buy a bottle or to share, so we left with the bottle we purchased, and "Colin" said in a sarcastic voice, "we'll have a nice day elsewhere!" Picture it in your head for a second, he extended the word 'elsewhere' with a high inflection on where. We went to Stoller and had an amazing time. Wine paired well with salmon and asparagus and a salad. Lemony and Garlicy flavors paired with the Pinot Gris was perfect. Love the wine tho, but Colin hopefully had a wicked hangover from all that Pinot Gris. read more

We really enjoyed the Wine Tour and Tasting here. We went on a Monday so it was pretty empty. We were running late from the Portland area and the others on the tour were willing to wait so we didn't have to miss anything. Our guide was Sean and he was excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly, etc. The tour and tasting was $45 but since my mom joined their wine club, all of our fees were waived. I don't really care for red wines...too strong for my taste and I don't care for the dry and acidic taste but the Pinot Noirs here were smooth. The tour was nice. The first pour was near the grape vines. Beautiful weather. Sampled some grapes. Next pour was inside to see the inside of their facility. Next was a pour outside where the workers were sorting thru grapes etc. end of September turned out to be a great time to visit. Next pour was in their wine caves. Beautiful. Sean let us try their Chardonnay and another white wine to help my mom decide what she wanted for her first quarter. Their wine club is free, just pay for the wines. The reds are pricey but worth it. We really liked the whole cluster red which was around $90. If you take the 6 or 12 bottle per quarter, they ship for free. We bought a bottle of Chardonnay to enjoy on their patio. Sean recommended the upper patio and the views were just beautiful. This place was easy to find. Nice and small. Free parking. read more
