    Caviar with the last glass.

Beautiful facility for cave tasting, outstanding wines, a relaxed vibe with great staff. One of the very best experiences we've had in the area. A bit off the beaten path, seek them out. You won't be disappointed.

This is Oregon wine countries best kept secret!! The outside is built from a TON of gorgeous wood, and one can only guess how much that cost with what wood prices are now - but it's still under-stated. Then you enter the building and go into the tunnel (a wine cave)...and is that ever beautiful! The wines were lovely but what stood out is the caviar we were treated to. Well, me; my friend is a vegan so they gave him tofu. I had never had caviar and was always a bit reluctant - but with the beautiful wines, I knew I had to try it. I definitely felt spoiled and want others to know about this gem!

We had a fantastic visit! We are Industry folks who got together to enjoy some wine. We were offered elevated service and care even so. Our server was Micheal was just so well informed about everything and very courteous to our group. Because of the experience we had with him and how beautiful the wine/winery is, we will definitely be returning. Not only returning but we also will spread the word of how amazing this place is! Thank you again.

Abbott Claim is a newer winery in the area! It's architecture, wine and wine cave is amazing and definitely worth a visit! Abbott Claim is named after John F. Abbott, who pioneered to Oregon over 170 years ago and settled on the land where the winery and vineyards now sit. The label on the wine bottles is a sketch of Abbott's original land claim. The architecture of the winery is amazing! The main winery building is made of wood and it's curves were built to represent the curvature of the earth. The winery also has a cement cave in the shape of a semicircle and it's absolutely stunning. We had our tasting in the wine cave and it was a fantastic setting and a change of pace from the other wineries in the area. Chris led us through the tasting of 2 types of Chardonnay and 3 types of Pinot Noirs. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. During the tasting, Chris made a delicious snack with brioche, caviar and cured egg yolk. It was my first time having caviar, but it was delicious. The five wines we tasted were from 2018 and need to be lied down for a few years, but they were great! I'd be very curious to try them after they've aged for a few more years. If you haven't been to Abbott Claim, it's definitely worth a visit! Be sure to call ahead as you'll need a reservation to visit and taste at Abbott Claim!

Then I found out I would get a raffle entry with donating ten cans of food. I was sad to see so few towing food with them to donate. Walking up and being handed a gorgeous glass of rose was pretty amazing. It was so wonderful having people rushing to great each person leading them in. I was glad I got there early so getting around was far easier. The drive up is a bit long, steep and gravel. I did not use it but a member later showed me the commode trailer as I was taking a snap shot since I laughed at the 'luxury toilet' label. They are air conditioned and definitely quite a step up from a blue box situation. For the event I was able to try 2 types of pinot noir, their sparkling and their chardonnay. Delicious and I was in shock to adore their chardonnay because that is not a wine I enjoy often. The food was also lovely. I was a bit surprised as to how many children were present as even the popcorn seemed not something children would enjoy. The grounds are also very adult with gorgeous views but with lots of gravel around, the kids were running through the tents since there was no where else to be.

We tasted LaRue's Blanc de Blancs, LaRue's Brut Rosé, Stoller Reserve Chardonnay, and Stoller Reserve Pinot Noir. Thankfully, we made a Heritage Room reservation and were able to enjoy the outdoors under some umbrella shade. Two of us a wine tasting, 1 grabbed a glass of red, and the other was there for company and some N/A musings. We also had the charcuterie board and cookies, both of which were good overall. I absolutely adore this spot for having N/A options which on this day was an orange creamsicle inspired slush. Service was really accommodating...since I can be quite the slow sipper at times. They definitely did not make us feel rushed. This is such a picturesque spot and I couldn't help but adore the giant tree with the tire swing in the middle. People were absolutely trekking across the lawn to enjoy it. This is a rather family friendly winery and there were tons of families, a bridal shower, and just folks enjoying the day. High high points for an inclusive space. Check it out if you're looking for a cute winery to enjoy!

We did the 1880 Connection to compare wines from Beaune to Oregon and this was an amazing experience. From the start, when we walked in, we were warmly greeted until the time we left, we had an absolutely extraordinary experience. Our host, Connor, was phenomenal. He was exceptionally well-versed and shared a wealth of knowledge about the wine and the estate. Every single wine we tasted was an unforgettable experience in itself. After our tasting, we walked up to the garden on the hill overlooking the vineyards, and the views were simply breathtaking. It was the perfect finale to a wonderful visit. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and definitely want to go back! Thank you to Connor (also Vincent - helped us with our French) for an amazing and fun time.

There were no tastings available, but given the weather we had just driven through to get there, and bc my friend is a certified somm with the CMS, we decided simply to create our own tasting experience from the single pour options made available. Other reviewers have also mentioned it, but when we sought input from the staff to make our initial wine selections, our experience of service was underwhelming. It was frankly a little disappointing given the status and caliber of the house. Gratefully we met Ben who was solidly helpful; he appreciative of our Quest to create a meaningful tasting experience for ourselves, even if we had not been able to score an appointment with a venue host. He was very knowledgeable and spoke to with us without condescension, intelligently answering our questions about the vineyards, wine making processes, and house history. With his help we also learned about some excellent options for dining in the area. Ben poured our selection of four wines and we chose to take the glasses outside on the patio as the rain had stopped. We helped another couple with photos they were trying to take, and then were able to film a few tasting clips against the picturesque back drop of the vineyards. We ordered a serving of the gougères, which came out warm and were delicious. I picked up a bottle of the Zeraphine Pinot Noir for the friend who had recommended the winery, and Mac picked up three bottles including the estate chardonnay, to return to Canada with. All in all a solid self-guided tasting and learning experience.
