I have to say that I've learned what I received and am thrilled. I started with archery about 1 month ago (9/15/19) and like most people, I went to the superstore thinking that I had done my research online so I had an idea what I wanted but would use the attendant's knowledge at the store to fill in the rest. Thank God that I didn't buy there. I was frustrated with their lack of attention and/or knowledge on the subject. They just wanted to get me to buy and get out. I came to midwest archery and all of the attendants were fantastic. When there was something that the attendant that I was working with didn't know, they found someone that did know rather than faking their way through it. I did my research before coming in but you dont know the things that you dont know. And, in modern archery theres a lot a person may not know. Long story short, they worked with me. They gave me several bows to try and set up my new bow specifically for my use. I am now over 5,000 shots in one month and 3 people have come to me talking about how their equipment is not right for them so they convert to what I'm using. Typically when starting a new hobby like this a person spends thousands buying the wrong equipment before they find what's right. I have to thank midwest archery for the fact that I didn't have to go through that. You have made my experience completely satisfying and exciting. You have earned a long term customer with me for sure. I will be buying my future bows from you. That's not a small thing considering that I travel for a living and am only in Springfield occasionally. Thanks again guys. Keep up the great work

When you first turn into the drive you'll think you're going to someone's house, which is exactly what this property used to be. Just keep following the drive to the metal building behind the big house - that's where you need to be. You can sign up for a one-time "try archery" class for $5 if you're a complete newbie and just want to give it a try. Ages 8 and up can take the Archery Level 1 class, which is a series of four classes that covers range safety and gives students the chance to shoot with both a compound and a recurve bow. All equipment is provided. Once you complete your first class, you can join the JOAD program - Junior Olympic Archery Development. You can either bring your own equipment or rent from the facility for this program. They also have 3D targets and are working on a walk-through type course for more experienced shooters. If you want to learn about archery, or are already knowledgeable and need a nice place to shoot, this is the place.
