The gentleman quoted me $1,695 in labor, as all the parts would be reused just refitted. I left work early, drove down there, disassembled, cleaned, and refitted them myself in 45 minutes. Duke came out inspected and turned the gas on. $1,695 for 45 minutes of work is disgraceful. You are taking advantage of people. I will be watching and reporting if you try to take my review down.

Awful company that lied about the job! Darryl, who worked for them in 2018, did the best he could…read morewith the materials they provided. I had roots growing in my pipes and instead of paying another company $7000 to replace the broken pipe at the elbow that allowed the roots to grow in and cause back-ups, he suggested sewer lining, which is supposed to cover all the cracks in old pipes. The quote was $4500 to line 30 feet from the basement out to the end of the yard. There was no mention that the liner can't cover pipe elbows! It was nothing but a disaster! When Darryl attempted to do the job, the 1st thing to happen was the liner got stuck in the pipe, under the basement floor! He had to break open the floor cement to pull it out! He was forced to replace that pipe and redo the floor cement! Then it happened 2 more times! It turned out my pipes were 4 inches and they only had 6 inch liners. Halpin refused to get 4 inch liners! Finally after weeks later, getting the liner in place and supposedly the job was done, my pipes continued to have issues of a back-up on the basement floor! In the meantime, Darryl left the company! I can only imagine why! Each time this happened, I called to complain and they came out and said I had root problems and snaked it to clear it! Each time I asked why I had roots after they lined the pipe, they claimed they told me the liner could not line in an elbow and that's where the roots were! I argued with them that I was never told that but they claimed it was my problem and not under warranty anymore! I told them that from the beginning, I knew the roots were in the elbow and that's what the original job was supposed to fix! I knew because the other company showed me on the video during their $7000 quote! Darryl never told me that the liner would not cover the elbow even though I made a point of telling him that's where the problem was! There's nothing in my quote, either! It says a full 30 feet will be lined! The last guy that came tried to charge me to snake it and I refused! He said he wouldn't charge me that time but anytime in the future, they would! That's 5 yrs ago! I've had back-ups, twice a year since! I've had to call a different plumber each time (Because I refuse to give Halpin another dime) and for the last year have been getting root killer to help! AS A RESULT, ALL PAPER HAS TO BE PUT IN THE TRASH CAN! CAN YOU IMAGINE ALL YOUR DIRTY TOILET PAPER ALWAYS IN THE TRASH!? IT HAPPENED AGAIN YESTURDAY BECAUSE MY 11 YR OLD GRANDSON FORGOT AND PUT PAPER IN THE TOILET AND THAT FAST, IT CAUSED A BACK-UP! I'M NOW 67 YRS OLD AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH POOP BACKING UP ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR, AGAIN! But, at 9:15 they cancelled and said they would make me first appointment on the next morning. They would be there no later than 10am. At 9:00am they cancelled and said they would inform me when they could make it. They then showed up after 11am when we had left without any noticed they were coming. They called me and asked where we where since the tech was now on property. I can't rank their work but I am not very happy with the lack of transparency and lack of making an appointment.

Dave came over the next day and we got service at a reasonable price. Dave not only fixed our problem but spent time helping us figure out how to prevent the issue from happening again. He took us step by step through the process and even explained that it's actually pretty normal to have some buildup in the pvc pipes from dripping water lines. This was above and beyond and much appreciated. And we weren't gouged the service. When this happened we were concerned because we have had bad experiences with plumbers in the past.
