Long story short I've been a loyal patient for many years and the wait time and overall office experience has not improved. You will wait 1-2 hours for a regular physical, annual exam, bloodwork, ekg, etc and this is with a scheduled appointment. I would literally avoid going to the doctor just because the wait time is horrible. They probably should stop taking walk ins and new patients until they can get more FNP to help Dr. Worrell. I don't even know if he is still there considering he is an older man and has been there many years. The front office is not the best to communicate with by phone nor do they send referrals or provide other providers your information in a timely manner.

At my next appointment I saw Camilo Paredes his PA and for the next 5 years+ he became the only one I would see. Camilo alone deserves 5 stars, he was the absolute best! He left the practice last year and honestly I wanted to follow him to his new practice, and it's a good hour drive from my house, but sadly I have an HMO and his new practice does not accept my insurance. Since Camilo has been gone I've seen Dr. Worrell a few times, a couple of other PA's (Jesse and another really nice woman) and they all seemed nice and knowledgeable. The reason I am giving my experience a 1 is because of the office staff. They are great in person, but when it comes to contacting them by phone for anything other than making an appointment to come in they are absolutly hands down the worst at helping you or returning phone calls or patient emails. I was called into the office to discuss bloodwork the last time I went in. I was prescribed a medication that was covered by insurance but required a preauthorization form to be completed. I had my insurance company fax them the form which they completed and returned. DENIED! When I asked my insurance company what the problem was they indicated that the form was filled out but apparently didn't acknowledge my diagnosis or the form was not completed correctly. I called the office and was sent to a voicemail where I left a message but the call was never returned. So I again asked the insurance company to resend the preauthorizatin form and again my request for the medication was denied for the same exact reason. At this point I am wondering how qualified Kayla (the person appointed to fill out preauthorization forms) actually is. So again, I contact her and leave a voicemail. Still waiting to be contacted to find out why she can't fill out a form correctly and actually do her job...because why would the doctor prescribe a medication that needs a preauthorization, which is fine since I was diagnosed with the condition it was meant for, but she can't fill out a form to reflect that diagnosis? It blows my mind!! This is my current issue with the office staff, but there have been others. When my pharmacy has tried to contact the office for various reasons they have expressed to me on numerous occasions that they can't get anyone on the phone and they can't get a call back. Also, every visit they ask you to confirm your pharmacy, which I do every single time...its been the same pharmacy for 5 years, but the last time they called in my prescriptions they called them in to the wrong pharmacy and now have that wrong pharmacy listed as my primary pharmacy even though I told them it was incorrect. It's like pulling teeth to get anything from them once you leave the office. They are extremely frustrating! This alone kills the experience and is 100% why they are rated 1, which would be a 0 if it was possible to give that rating! Needless to say I am currently looking at finding a new PCP, one that has competent staff working, and who work with diligence on providing help when dealing with insurance companies and pharmacies.

They wants you in but will not answer calls including calls from your pharmacy trying to ask questions about your medicines or refills. Don't do blood work there! They do not sent your blood work to Quest anymore! They sent it to some weird lab that charges you outrageously. Told them my annual and physical cover 100% and their coding must be wrong and to refile with the insurance which they wouldn't and send me to collection. Don't forget about the waiting time! They call you and get to a room but once you in the room, the wait is a minimum of a hour to hour and half.

It took two weeks just to refill a prescription and three weeks (with multiple reminder calls) to get a referral that we still haven't received. Completely unacceptable. I chose this clinic as my parents' PCP because they don't speak English well. Instead of offering patience and support, the front desk staff talk down to elderly patients and treat non-English speakers with disrespect. They act entitled, like being a nurse makes them superior to the patients they're supposed to care for. My mom has a herniated disc and has been in pain for over a month. She asked four times for a referral and called multiple times for her annual checkup results -- no one followed up. The most frustrating part? The clinic never even bothered to call my parents about their results. They just waited until I, the daughter, had to chase them down and push for answers. When I called again, Nurse Cam denied my mom ever called -- which is untrue. I have the phone call history to prove it. Instead of helping, she refused to let me speak to the NP and told me to wait another 2 weeks for the referral. Then, she told the NP that I was "mean" to her. The NP ended up calling my mom -- not to check on her pain -- but to complain about me and tell her to tell me to be nicer. That's unacceptable. If the front desk had done their job, I wouldn't have had to step in. I wasn't rude -- I was advocating for my mom who could barely walk due to the pain. This clinic's delay, dishonesty, and complete lack of compassion are shocking. A month-long wait for a referral, no follow-up on checkup results, and disrespect toward elderly and non-English-speaking patients is not just bad service -- it's negligent. If you want your family members to be treated with dignity and timely care, I recommend going somewhere else.

Any doctor I've gone to I spend two minutes with and the appointment is over. I really appreciate that Dr.Nguyen takes time with me, and it is worth waiting a little longer. ALSO, I've been to the clinic a lot and there's NOT a wait every time. I think people are just used to doctors not spending a lot of time to understand what their issue is, unlike Dr. Nguyen who does. I also really like the receptionists. They are super nice and went above and beyond for me today to make sure my neurologist appointment is squared away.
