Unprofessional, lacked honesty and integrity. Cuts corners and does not value the job. Way over priced

This is our third time around with Argenta and setting up a system. I think most people think…read morethey're just a home theatre shop, but they also sell 2-channel systems and offer a lot of great options for equipment. I previously worked with Justin on the setup of our home theater, and they did a stellar 5 star rating on that job. It still sounds and works really well. For this project we wanted a new 2-channel setup and Justin worked with me all the way. He talked to me on the phone and over text about my options, during business hours and even after business hours. He has a real passion for 2-channel systems, so can talk about it forever and offers a lot of insight into what one needs based on room, budget, preferable sources, etc. Justin and Declan came up to our house and did the install over the course of a few hours and it was amazing. I can't say enough good things about their care of the equipment, our house, and the detail they showed in setting everything up and then measuring it. You really cannot go wrong with them. If you're looking for a home theater or 2-channel system I would start by giving Justin a call as chances are he will be able to find a solution to your needs and offer great insight. You won't regret working with him or his team.

Tanner with Argenta was excellent at planning a way in which to wire ethernet and fiber throughout the house in a way that was minimally invasive. We also had speaker wire routed from existing speakers to a central location in the garage (along with the ethernet/fiber) with Sonos Amps, along with your typical TV/speaker mounting. The planning process was very smooth and excellent communication throughout. Tanner is a standup guy, very knowledgeable (even figured out a great small TV to fit in our kitchen perfectly). In addition, we had Starlink setup as a backup ISP given Comcast's inconsistency. Specifically on the install work, Tanner C (different Tanner) aka "TanC", and Ray, were my primary guys for all the onsite work. These two are rockstars, efficient, incredibly clean (no mess left whatsoever), smart (I only have to say things once and they just "get it") and are excellent at their craft. They really can work magic with an existing home, and went well beyond my expectations. If you have an existing house, I highly recommend these two (and obviously Argenta does new builds and I'm sure Tanner is great as a project designer for that as well).

Estimate given for install time was a 3 days. It ended up taking them 3 weeks start to finish. They tried to charge me for painting my wall when their management agreed it would be waived due to the painting needing to be completed becuase of mistakes made by their installer. After they took my money they have ghosted me. When I called them to honor the warranty for the $500 subwoofer they installed which blew out 6 months after install. They have yet to respond 3 years later after repeated attempts to reach out for assistance. Also the projector does not always fully boot up and was installed way to close to the back wall to where the hdmi cord is kinked. I could go on and on. There are too many problems to name with install, quality of product and most of all customer service. There has been a real feeling of hostility and animosity from this company ever since the shoddy workmanship they performed and collected the check. 3 1/2 years later and I have little hope they will ever try to make things right. If they are still in bussiness and you are concidering them to do a custom install for you. I recomend to run away as fast as you can before you go through what we did.

He initially inspected all aspects of our internet and tv connections. We use CenturyLink for internet service. He tested this service for speed. Although we were told we should receive information at 40 mb/s, he could not receive more than 20 in spite of the new modem we had just installed. He suggested several things that he thought might improve our internet and wifi reception. These have improved reception and consistency throughout the house but have not increased internet speed. Because our remotes (10 year old Control 4) were battle worn and out of date, they suggested and replaced ours with logitech. I was very dissatisfied with these. Reporting this to Ben, Nate soon returned and replaced the Logitech with another brand. We are much more satisfied with the new replacements, which are much more intuitive and easily used. My only complaint is that we didn't identify at first our desire for more user friendly remotes than the Logitech. This resulted in increased time and replacement of the recently installed controllers. Nate has been very accommodating and helpful. His knowledge, skill, and personality are very comfortable, and make us feel very prone to call upon him if and when we need additional assistance.

The competency/incompetency of any Control4 installation is wholly dependent on the audio/visual contractor, according to Control4. If your contractor fails to provide competent service, indifferent instruction as to how to use the system or simply ignores calls for service you are essentially on your own, though Control4 does provide some assistance telephonically. Local dealers are hit and miss resources and slow to respond. The remote provided is an antiquated piece of junk, that does not unify the system installed. An example is unifying Apple TV with a cable system. Closed captioning on Apple tv requires an Apple remote and Netflix requires a different process. Incorporating the control devices to the entertainment appliances is accomplished with all the sophistication of electrician's tape. Control4 system users should also know when changing cable boxes, removal of the "bud" sensor to Control4 and re attaching it to a new cable box can disrupt the Control4 remote from TV control, requiring the cable remote to change channels and other features, as well as another service call. Perhaps in the hands of a competent contractor the system will behave as advertised. However, life with the system hasn't made home entertainment easier, so much as an overly complicated, fragile experience that we wish had never been installed at considerable expense.

The equipment is very expensive and requires independent 3rd party "approved" programmers to do anything, make even the slightest change, or update non-existent drivers/software updates. I purchased the system 3 years ago and wanted to share my experience and hopefully save some potential new customers a huge headache. They are not compatible with Chanberlain or Liftmaster garage doors as well as Honeywell Thermostats. I have been with 3 different 3rd party programmers in the Atlanta area and find them all to be unresponsive at best. There are many areas of the system that do not work well and unless the 3rd party programmers are selling you new equipment they will not help. I thought I did a lot of research, but apparently not enough for the investment I made and the reliability of the equipment.

After doing an extensive search and talking to multiple vendors, I decided to go with Mark and I'm extremely happy I did. When I had Mark over for his free quote, it was immediately evident he knew his stuff. If you do your research, you'll find he's done giant home theatre installs, commercial work for restaurants and corporations and the regular TV/wire concealment jobs for residents. He was knowledgeable, thorough and extremely professional as he walked me through the effort and materials required and the pros and cons of different methods of installation. Mark is the kind of guy who measures twice and cuts once. When I hired Mark, I wasn't sure how exactly I should place the TV's, what the right height was or where on the wall the TV's should sit. Mark helped walk me through different options and recommend optimal placement for both viewing and aesthetic value. He measured and placed the TV's perfectly centered on the walls and completely level (I even double checked with my own leveler). There really wasn't more I could ask for from Mark and his service. He did a flawless job and offered a very fair rate. He even had his own vacuum and cleaning supplies to clean up after himself so you never even knew he was there. I highly recommend using Mark if you want the job done right and at a great price.

He was on time, prepared with all of the materials, and very friendly. He worked quickly and carefully. When the job was finished, he cleaned the area and placed everything back where it was when he arrived. He was even kind enough to level our TV (which my husband and I had mounted just a tad crooked). I would absolutely call him again and recommend him to friends and family.
